R. Stevie Moore - Alecia (1986)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 жов 2006
- "If rock and roll was a baseball game, then R. Stevie Moore would be playing left field...and I mean DEEP left field! For 30 years, R. has been recording music at home (mostly) by himself. Apart from the occasional studio time, most of R.'s stuff has been strictly lo-fi affairs, which tend to concentrate more on song craft than on anything else. And that is what makes R. such a complete and utter genius! There's no one in pop music today who has put out such a large variety of music and has totally remained himself. Whatever style he touches he turns into R. Stevie. Whatever style touches him, he turns it into R. Stevie. It would be safe to say he walks the line between the Beatles, Ferlin Husky and the Residents." - Steve "Spaz" Schnee

This song is fantastic and the video is great too.
Thank you, R. Stevie. You are a true visionary.
This is the greatest video I've ever seen. I can't believe this song didn't win a Grammy.
Discovered R. Stevie Moore yesterday and I cant get enough, so pleased he is such a prolific artist and that so many of his tunes come with amazing videos. Also, I am slightly blown away buy the amount a few of my favourite artists have borrowed from this guy, not that its a bad thing, since all artists take influence one way or another, Im just pleased Mr Moore did the groundwork that helped them develop their own styles!
+Blacklava yeah he is one of the most creative musicians ever
In the middle of an R. Stevie Moore Marathon.
if you look at the lyrics as being from the point of view of a little boy, this is a really cute adorable song. If you look at the lyrics as being from the point of view of a grown man, they become really fucking disturbing.
"When can I kidnap you" classic little boy
@@zachsmith3 not literally you donut
Typical RSM satire. Everything is fair game to him when writing a song. Heck, he even wrote a great (and funny) song about crashing into cars displaying Baby On Board stickers. Don't forget RSM grew up in the 50s in Tennessee when underage marriage scandals were more common - think of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis meeting Priscilla when she was 14, etc.
''When can I kidnap you'' lolol
This is like watching the Numa Numa bro go nuts.
a rare anny fantanny in the mist
lol
Hi Anthony how’s the wife

My favourite, Stevie!

gold
this is a great song! RSM is one cool dude.
The music is amazing but the lyrics are really fucking creepy
think that's the point, he was satirizing how rock lyricists were kinda openly allowed to be creeps back then while writing upbeat songs
@@gelerickson that makes sense actually. Thanks for the info
@theneedledrop OK, stay positive! You're a gentleman and a scholar, sir. See you at the top!
Wow! I didn’t know my name was on songs? My name is Alecia.
@theneedledrop THE NEEDLE DROP! Me and Cal Chuchesta are gonna go smoke a fatty you want to throw down?
wtf is this song about? can someone please tell me
its about a perfect combination, duh
flying cardinal ...Pedofilia, Lolita-kind, it's pretty obvious. This very disturbing (but genious in a way, I admit) song would probably not be done today.
He's singing about wanting to be with a underage girl
It's called SATIRE
Great song either way 👌
12 ts way toooooooooo old
