- Had this lot offered to me from a fellow who I have bought watches from in the past. The price seemed fair at $150, so I jumped on it.

that timex electric dynabeat you said was missing too many parts was actually only missing a battery and the caseback! and i imagine it would be compatible with a few of the others, those timex electrics are neat, like a quartz mixed with a mechanical watch, I have a dynabeat that I think I'm actually going to wear tmw
Thanks, I like the watch, but in my experience they tend to run and stop. So it makes me nervous to wear one
Those electric Timex watches are really fun, but sometimes they need a good shake, like you would do with an automatic watch, to keep them running. The same applies after a battery change.
@@mikes.4136 ok thanks I will give them a better shake
Nice. That Timex that you asked if it is a Marlin is a Mercury. It is a desirable model and a nice find. I'm actually intrigued by the little blue one. It looks like a Timex Camper but I've never seen that dial. It is usually green with a field watch dial. You always get some interesting stuff in your lots.
Thanks so much. I will try and fix the Timex mercury. I will let you know if I can get the camper working
These videos just keep on coming!! Another great video to end my evening lol.
Thanks so much
With all these watches, the ones with broken crystals ect , you may have duplicates that you can take the same two watches and restore one watch to completeness ,it would be nice to see some restoration videos someday. ,some of the ones that don’t work, might just need a simple service to get back in working order
That’s a good idea. In the next few months. I’m planning on buying some more equipment
@@vintagesterlingfinds right on ,that’s great
Where do you find all these watch lots? I look on eBay but a lot are pretty expensive
Yes eBay is crazy expensive and high risk. I go on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. Also some swap meets. When I meet a person with a large collection, I always let them know I would be interested in more. It usually leads to me buying multiple lots from the same person
wow fortis and longines nice !!!!! and the gold one is a led watch
Thanks so much
When you say fully wound does it mean you can’t fix it? Could it work with a new battery?
Fully wound means the mainspring has been fully wound and not running on a mechanical wind watch. I could try fixing it by letting two. The mainspring.
Thank you!

Dang a Girard Perregaux, them things are pretty nice
Thanks and I got it working. There was a piece of tobacco stuck in the movement. I removed it and the watch works fine
@@vintagesterlingfindscan you tell me what part of the video shows the girard? I may have missed it.
@@vintagesterlingfinds haha that’s strange, wonder how that happened
