I'm here from 40 years in the future. This team has changed their name to Assington City, and they have just won the premier league 9 times in a row.
Could you imagine! 😂
Nice

@@gatierghighzaidel7301 does football manager go that deep into the pyramid? Might wanna give it ago if it accurately reflects the actual county leagues from level 11 and below
love that club chairman, proper bloke. Just in it for the love of the game.
Absolutely for the love of football

This is 16th tier. They aren’t step 7.
What? Almost every team in my country(a third world country) has a stadium home ground.
Got a new favorite team. Assington Stanley. Proper name that.
Glad you enjoyed the vid 🙌
Lets get em into the Prem.

I’ve always wondered what level 16 football was like, but it doesn’t disappoint 😂. It’s unbelievable to think that with 6 promotions, they could be competing in the fa cup, with another 6 back to back promotions, they could be in League 2, and still 4 years later they could be playing in the champions league!!! Blows my mind to think about
(There was a little smudge of dirt on the camera that’s a bit annoying lol)
The beauty of the English football pyramid!! That dirt was inside the lens annoyingly. Its fixed now 👍

We need more content like this. I'm form a non footballing nation where football is not as famous as other sports so having a football team where you can play regularly is a blessing and I'm very happy to see this that people can enjoy football without having this issue.
Glad you enjoyed the vid. We've got plenty of non league content. 👍
Nice to hear the comment about the ref from the gaffer. Refs need more respect
Especially the younger ones
Id love it if the FA Cup started at this level. Start the cup matches with the local leagues. Get somebody like Carlsberg jnvolved with sponsoring and getting money into this level of football.
We'd happily cover a team each round too!!
Big up Josh in goal always been a decent bloke first played for my team in a semi final and made some crucial saves to get us into the final 👏🏾
Love that. He was a top bloke
This is sitcom worthy
Haha we can make that happen
The lowest level of football actually goes down to level 18 for an example there’s a league called Yorkshire amateur div 5
Played there lol , well Yorkshire amateur div 4
And technically you can go to level 20 for the Devon and Exeter Football League Division Eight and the
Central and South Norfolk League Division Four

Hey, you know what? Good for them. Maybe they are no big time team, but I really enjoyed the manager talking about the process of organizing the team. Gives these guys something to do beyond their everyday lives. Honestly, I wish I had something like that. Best of luck!

Amazing our video reached you! That's so cool. Glad you enjoyed it 🙌
Home Sweet home
This is great. I have now been involved in grassroots youth football for over 10 years. Coached for years before then being chairman. Its a LOT of work but it is so much fun! We hope we can get some facilities to enable us to have an adult team.
Thanks for watching pal 🙌
I hope people donate to the club! The chairman, the manager, even some of the players deserve a little bit of relief financially so they can focus on just the football.
As an American, I wish the sport had the backing as it does in England! Great video!
Thanks for watching pal. Who's your team in America?
@@LocationFootball Well I support LA Galaxy, they’ve been my local club since childhood. and many of the West coast teams in the US generally have a decent turnout! But go more central or even more northeast and you won’t see the same time kind of support. You can tell with the national team whenever the US plays anywhere. Unless it’s against Mexico.
@@IsaiasSoldier2 The games against Mexico are always a riot, and thankfully the galaxy and LAFC have good atmospheres and attendance. Hopefully the galaxy does well this season.

Step 7 is really different around different areas of the country. I play at step 7 in the mfl in the midlands and there’s clubs paying players some on more than players at step 4 or 5.

The Prem division in our area is step 6. So being in division 5 we are 5 divisions lower than step 6😂
I really wish there was a promotion and demotion pyramid in Australia, because it was a British colony once, I'm confused why we don't have it.
Promotion and relegation has to be in football doesn't it. Thanks for watching the video 🙌
i guess not many football teams down there?
Not enough interest
Interesting that the chairman begrudges paying £45 for the referee but the manager shows him genuine respect.
The referee could be watching a good match with his mates or maybe playing at a higher level but he has to start somewhere.
The team will be doing well if they can follow a young referees progress up the leagues.
I think it's more generating the funds to be able to afford refs and pitch hire. The ref did a fantastic job, without the refs there is no match. 👍
Didn’t happen. He just broke down the match day costs. Are you a referee by any chance??
@@LocationFootball I was surprised how much the pitch hire and referee's costs were at that level. In the lower echelons of Welsh grass roots football (Neath League) I think the pitch hire is about £55 - £60 for council pitches, and the referee usually charges between £25 to £30 depending on travel expenses. What most people don't realise is that there are "hidden" costs for training (usually hiring 3G/4G pitches in mid-week), medical equipment, buying kits/footballs/nets if there are no sponsors, etc.
Assington Stanley my new favorite club let’s get it lads
This is why i love football man just raw and real guys who just love the game

so are you saying at 42 i have a chance to play!? haha wish i lived there id try out! hey, ya never know 🤷♂🤷♂
Having not played football (soccer since im american) since I was about 12, i can confidently say i think i could play in this league and also that i would get ran off the pitch faster than it takes the ref to blow the starting whistle. (would be a fun experience though!)
Haha it was definitely a fun experience
KazenoAUS makes an interesting point. As a fellow American, the quality of play is what caliber? Are these players good High School level? College level? Or beer league softball level?

Hopefully good mad 😂
I wanna see a tv series about a club from this level rising to the prem. Its unrealistic yes but i think theres a lot of potential in educating about the game but also keeping it funny. 😂 just my thought

@@LocationFootball of course i enjoyed the video. Its very real and your narration is easy to listen even when english is not my first language. I usually need subtitles.

Interesting
I'm an American so this is all foreign to me but I find it fascinating. I kind of wish some of our sports worked like this. Only problem I have is it's a bit too "laissez-faire". Rich teams stay rich and continue to win. Which is kinda ironic that British sports are like this and not so much American ones that have a salary cap lol.
The English football pyramid is brilliant! Competition at every levels. I'd love to come to the US and document grass roots football (soccer) out there 🙌
I would say this is the same level as the A-League in Oz. I swear I just watched Western United vs Brisbane Roar 🤣. I actually loved the video, keep them coming 👍

pretty high level football right here
Just waiting for someone to come in with 3 stumps and a cricket bat,
The fact that it goes below this is crazy. The English pyramid goes down to level 20.

Lowest level in England and still better then what we have in the JPL here in Belgium
Any teams you recommend we visit in Belgium? Would love to see the standard of football 👍

Its incredible when you realize that the skill gap between this and lets say Vanarama is huge. Now think about the skill gap between vanarama and premier league. And then compare premier league to the best clubs in europe. Its incredible how high the skill ceiling is

Similar level to “high school” football in the UK I assume?
“High School” football in the UK is more like the academies of big teams. Like a U16 or U18 team.
@@PJ_ShortsOfficial oh wow, schools don’t have clubs?
@@robfut9954 They do. However, where I live it is not that high of a level, unless you progress further enough into a cup.
@@PJ_ShortsOfficial I’ve heard that in the US high school teams aren’t as important anymore compared to youth clubs. But our clubs aren’t associated with pro clubs like youth academy teams over there of course. The MLS is very far behind in that respect
This isn’t step 7 though. Step 7 (11th tier) would be the premier division of this league. This is 16th tier.
Yeah I mentioned that in the vid, step 7 division 5 👍
I've thought, for a long time, that top teams should have to donate a percentage of their yearly profits to grassroots level teams. A few million won't make a difference to teams like Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea but it could make a world of difference to teams at this level.
The clubs definitely need more help with funding.
Isn’t there a premier league fund for that…? Maybe it doesn’t go past step 6 though so idk… maybe they only care about teams that can play in the fa cup or something…
Please sign DutchKeeper
Shit I might join a team now myself 😂
Haha I've inspired you through my (lack of skills) 😂
Wait if they win the league , do they start climbing up ? Don’t they need money to back the club up to climb up the ranks ?
There division 5 of a league in step 7. If they go up this year then division 4 which won't be too different to what they're in now. Money would help though
I wish football in America had promotion and relegation so i could start a club
It would be so much better for competition
