The way brits pronounce taco is funny as heck lol
Tack co
What the guys don't realize is that when someone goes to Taco Bell, they don't buy just one taco, or a cheesy rollup. That's why Taco Bell offers things like 10 packs of tacos or a "build-your-own box."
You can't expect the CRUNCH to last when you don't eat these as soon as you get them. Like any crunchy shell it gets soft & soggy quickly while sitting in meat, cheese, sauce, & veggies.
Taco Bell got rid of their tostada shells, so the Crunchwrap no longer lives up to it's name.
They forgot to pick-up the salsa packets to add to the food. Taco Bell needs the sauces to add more flavor. 🌮 ❤
The sauce is imperative to the tasting experience. Without it, you’re not getting the full flavor!! 😋 🌮
I agree. Taco bell sauce has its own flavor
I always use 2 hot sauces on a burrito. I don't like sour cream on tacos or burros so I have them leave it off. You HAVE to have the sauce!
"It's the same thing, in a different shape"
My god, everyone, he's cracked the code!
It is madness to eat Taco Bell without sauce.
Tacos without hot sauce is not the way we do things. Lol. Gotta load em up. Also, cheesy Gordita crunch with a nacho cheese shell instead of a regular shell. *chefs kiss
And nacho cheese !
The fact that Brits don't like the idea of a taco because it's "messy" or because it has vegetable's in it is hilarious. I live in California and if you don't like tacos you might as well move too, well the UK. The cheese roll ups are for kids. Adults don't eat those. BTW it's not bread, it's a tortilla, nothing bread about it.
No burrito's , no sauces, no Mexican Pizza WTF?
I always get the cheesy bean and rice burrito, and the spicy potato soft taco. They're tasty and cheap, and I've never once had any bathroom consequences from eating them. The Baja Blast is really good, but no I can't describe the flavor... Also, it was a CRIME to not give those kids any hot sauces! The employees here give you a whole handful.
The cheesy bean and rice burritos are really good either cold or heated up the next day.
I get cheesy bean and rice burrito and have them leave off the jalapeño cheese and get extra liquid cheese and extra rice then I add 2 hot sauce. Yum!
Taco Bell tip, if you want anything with crunch in the name it’s best to dine in not takeaway or it’ll get soggy by the time you get home, either the sauce or the moisture from the steam will soften the crunchy corn tortillas.
They used to have a taco salad in a bowl shaped taco shell that was very good. Taco Bells beefy burrito's used to be good years ago, but now they're a runny mess.
Yeah, their "Big Beef Burrito" was awesome... then they had to change the menu and ruin the classic beef burrito. Now I have to order a "bean burrito, minus bean, add beef." and it's no were near what it use to be. :(
Yes tostada taco salad bowls. That's my favorite thing to order at the local mexican restaurant. Eat the salad then eat the bowl. Yum. haha
Never knew it could be eaten without the sauce, I know I can't do it!! (Fire sauce for me).
Me too.
I never eat it with sauce. I like to taste the ingredients, not cover it up.
@@LancerX916so you don't use ketchup mayo or anything when you eat like a hamburger or and dip with bread sticks?
Taco Bell etiquette - must be eaten over whatever it comes wrapped in thus giving you the choice to scoop whatever falls out back into what your eating or leaving it to eat at the end.
Gordita means chubby in Spanish. You take a taco in a hard shell, place some cheese on some flatbread. Then wrap the flatbread around the taco. Then add some Cali Ranch sauce and some grated cheddar cheese and you have a cheesy Gordita crunch. It is one of my favorites. 😅
Baja Blast is a tropical lime Mountain Dew flavor exclusive to Taco Bell. 😅
Cinnamon twists are meant to be a take on a mini churro.
The way british people say taco kills me😭. TaK-o, I love it lol
Taco bell isn't to bad if that's all you can get. But don't mistake taco bell as being authentic Mexican food.
It's funny how it somehow became that way even though it was never marketed as such.
I mean i go to taco bell for tacos or crunchwrap. I go to Mexican restaurants for quesadillas, fajitas, tortas etc.
I think Taco bell shinies with tacos and the crunchwrap.
I've tried authentic Mexican food and wasn't impressed
@@rods6741Probably because many authentic recipes use corn tortillas instead of flour. If you ever try it again, ask for flour tortillas. But once you get used to corn. It’s the only way to go.
I love taco salads.. with a big shell with lettuce and all the ingredients pulled on. As I eat I break up the shell.. like the taco shell.
I have a set of the pans to make those. Bought them years ago.
It’s interesting how Americans and Brits swap the vowel sounds of taco and blast. Brits say TACK-oh and blahst. Americans say TOCK-oh and blast.
Cinnamon Twists are so good 🎉
The fact someone can say I have never had a taco before is insane to me.
Can't eat them without sauce. Note, supreme here means with tomatoes (diced here not slices) and sour cream added..
I really hope he gets to try a taco one day, they're delicious! 🌮
(I personally recommend trying the Crunchwrap, Chicken Chalupa and the Beefy 5 layer burrito. And If they have them the Nacho fries.😋)
The cinnamon twists are nothing but spiral macaroni deep fried with cinnamon sugar over it. I used to make them when I worked there.
Baja Blast is a snappy citrusy beverage - somewhat similar to fresh limeade with hints of tangerine, and the carbonation really makes the flavor pop!
There's an old joke about Mexican food - "Just say something in Spanish - it's the same five ingredients; a tortilla with beans, meat, lettuce, and cheese." What's truly astonishing is how much variety you can get from those same ingredients. Corn tortillas come in crispy (both flat for tostadas and folded for tacos) and soft varieties; flour tortillas are usually soft (thicker for gorditas), though sometimes deep-fried into a bowl shape for taco salads.
Cheesy Gordita Crunch is mainly a deluxe hard taco, plus a gordita coated with nacho cheese sauce and folded around it. Chalupa uses the same thick flour tortilla but is lightly deep-fried. The Crunchwrap is mainly a tostada (flat hard corn tortilla) wrapped inside a large flour tortilla with refried beans.
That old joke can be attached to most sauces in Chinese cooking, but the ratios of the ingredients change.
Hi guys, you should always eat a taco from the end. If you start from the top, like the Headmaster did, you get just the lettuce and tomato. Starting from the end, you get meat and vegetables. One of the guys noticed something that I have often commented on myself, that is, many Mexican fast food places serve the same basic ingredients ( ground beef, cheese, lettuce and tomato) in slightly different arrangements and shapes. I like the crispy tacos better than the soft tacos, and everything goes better with some taco sauce. You can get mild, medium or really hot.
After only one bite, that crispy taco turns into a taco salad.
MILD , HOT , FIRE and DIABLO these are the sauces. I get the hot.
"Baja Blast." And one of the students asked, "What's a Baja?" It means "lower," and it's a reference to Baja California, so "Lower California." That's the Mexican state just below the US state of California. The biggest city there is Tijuana (population around 2 million), which is just across the US border.
As someone in America I have to make tacos 2 times a week at the least. Mix some chicken fajitas in there too 1 night. Best food.
Breakfast Crunchwraps with Cinnabons & Baja Blast or Wild Strawberry Freeze is my favorite
At 2:22 he says he has never had a taco. I don't know why but that blew my mind. As an American, they are so common here and Mexican food in general is so popular. I guess I just sort of assumed everyone in Western Civilization had eaten a taco at least once. 🌮😯
Lol the soft taco shells are called flour tortillas
The hard shells are called that and are made with corn.
I always think of Cheese roll ups as something you can hand a hungry kid in the back of your car, and not be sorry. I don’t have kids, but when I order Taco Bell I get them for my dogs. They don’t complain. 😆 My favorite is the Chicken Chalupa with Chipotle sauce. Yum!
You hold the end of the taco in the wrapper when you take your first bite so it catches everything that falls out and then you eat that while getting your fingers dirty
ahhh taco bell my second stop after visiting the dispensary
they have strawberry bits like cinnamon twist at taco bell here
Just for reference Baja is a peninsula on the California and Mexico coast
The soft shell on the outside of the crispy makes for a less messy taco.
You make a flat surface out of wrapper #1 and anything that falls off you eat as a taco salad. BTW you can order extra meat and less lettuce!
Crunchwraps were invented so there was something on the menu that you could eat one-handed on the go without it being so messy.
Yet they're super mess..... & my FAVORITE on the menu.. both for breakfast & the regular one.
Great for Dashboard Dining 😂
I am happily suprised by you guys and the students in the video. You were the ony ones to pronounce taco correctly!!!!!! Most brits I see on UA-cam say tayco or Tacko
It’s so wild how we are all in our own little worlds and culture, and we grow up with stuff like this; that I can’t even imagine that someone on the planet hasn’t tried Taco Bell
The way they so taco makes me laugh.
Gordita literally translates to "chubby girl".
Baja is long, thin, pennisula on the west coast of Mexico.
Historically it was an extension of California, before what is now the State of California was ceded to the United States after the Mexican American War.
A HUGE chunk of what is now the southwest United States once belonged to Mexico.
Now Mexico is like one habitable strip of land bookended by impassible mountains and desert to the north and impenetrable jungle to the south.
WHERE IS THE SAUCE?? you gotta at least put some Mild Sauce on there! 😵💫😂🤔
Mild?
Hot sauce is da shit.
Double Decker with Nacho Cheese. Best Thing Ever.
Taco Bell is good so long as you don't think of it as "Mexican Food" and see it as an entity unto itself. But the instant you start comparing it to good Mexican food it falls way short.
Taco bell is good in its own right, but when you've been drinking, it is the ultimate food.
The soft part of the cheesy Gordita crunch is what makes it…that and the chipotle sauce
Gordita means fat little girl in Spanish, but in an affectionate way. At Taco Bell, 'supreme' means tomatoes and sauce added to the regular item.
None of the tasters used taco sauce, bad form. Regular, hot, and inferno names for sauces. No burritos either.
**Mild, hot, fire and Diablo
I personally like Taco Bell but do not like their sauces lol
Apparently they don't have the sauce packets in the UK, which is absolutely shocking. The entire point of Taco Bell is the Fire Sauce!
I miss the Fire Roasted sauce. It had this sweet and smoky taste.
These days I always go for Diablo.
I find Diablo tastes more burnt than anything, not a fan. Swings and roundabouts I guess.
I'm a #6 combo all the way: 2 chalupas, a taco and frozen drink.
The Crunch Wrap is my favorite. Never tried Chula.
Taco bell, also known as Toxic Smell, is best enjoyed at 3 in the morning after closing a bar❤
Only if you can’t make it to a Waffle House
Personally I prefer our homemade tacos which don't use prefab taco shells. However, when I'm hurting to much to cook, I like the Burrito Supreme, Nachos Bel Grande and the Doritos Locos Nacho Tacos at Taco Bell.
They used to have something called an Encharito which was a burrito covered with a red sauce. I added sour cream and lettuce to the top.
For those who liked it, well good for you. For myself and my husband we thought it horrible. It didn't taste like food. We threw it all away.
British kids: there's too much sugar
Also Brittish kids: there's too much vegtables
Also Brittish kids: there's too much bread
So you want a piece of salted meat?
My doctor told me I need to cut back on McDonalds food. I interpret that to mean "eat more Taco Bell".
2:00 I’m curious about why they used a soft taco for these two kids when it’s supposed to be crunchy.
You can get hard shell or soft shell.
When I was a kid, Taco Bell had the “Chilito”. I could eat those things everyday of the week. They got rid of them and now if I go there I’d just get their tacos
Taco bell is the dietary equivalent of smoking crack and washing it down with kerosene 😂 ... but it does taste good especially after a night of drinking 😂😂
4th meal baby!
They missed my favorite thing- refried bean burrito! Yum! And Zi love cinnamon crisps!!
Is it crazy to anyone else that James his going to have his 1st kid BEFORE his 1st taco?!?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thinking of you these upcoming weeks. 🙏🏻
Trick with Taco Bell
1: put your choice of Taco Bell sauce on top,
2: eat as soon as possible
Taco Bell never fails to disappoint me, as an old fart who grew up eating it in the 80's. But then a few months pass and I only remember what it used to taste like, so then I go back and re-traumatize myself once again. If you want to eat something where the experience of taking it into your body is pretty much identical to the experience of it leaving your body, then Taco Hell is the place to go.
I’m the same way. Very disappointing! Loved it in the 80’s early 90’s.
Ya gotta have cold beer with Taco Bell
Yeah, the one kid nailed it; Taco Bell has like 7 ingredients, just mixed in different varieties.
The cheese roll-ups are pretty disappointing. a very similar item is the cheese quesadilla (cheese and flour tortilla), but somehow it's better. They also have chicken, and beef, quesadillas.
Taco Bell isn't bad - as far as fast food goes - but invariably there's going to be a much better Mexican Restaurant right down the street anywhere in the US. These kids mentioned how they could make certain item at home. And that's totally true. What Taco Bell (and most fast food) has going for it is, it's quick and convenient when you're driving down the street at lunch time. Just 5 minutes in line and boom, hot food.
Baja Blast is a Mountain Dew product (do y'all have Mt Dew?). It's basically Mt Dew with tropical Lime - whatever 'Tropical Lime' is. It was originally designed specifically for Taco Bell, but has since branched out into regular supermarket cans/bottle - energy drinks & even alcoholic drinks.
Heheh, at 11:51, Millie looks sooo sad.
The chalupa is by far my favorite. Taco bell had an limited time double cheesy chalupa and that was a BANGER!
Taco Bell is the most profitable franchise per square foot, but then again they are generally smaller restaurants than most.
The goodness of Taco Bell is directly proportional to how drunk you are. Sober, I would rather eat anywhere else.
Picture about 1987. Hanging out at a friends house. All outta high school. One bro gets a job at the new taco bell that opened up. Every night he brings home a shitton of tacos and nachos to the party for free. It was end of night, throw it out or take it home. He was a saint.
Okay 35 years ago they had the beef burrito supreme it was loaded with sour cream ripe olives and everything else. I am guessing the food cost for that put an end to it. So after that it was beef taco supreme or beef mexi melts. That was 20 years ago and the last time I ate there because, I moved to Houston T.X. and found Taco Cabana, The had the best steak tacos with any side or sauce you could think of and were open 24/7. I went from 180 lbs to 215 lbs in less than 2 years.
Taco Bus FTW in Tampa, FL !
The Crunchwrap combo meal is my go to lol
They don't seem to have tried the super nachos. This a dish of the corn chips covered with cheese. Often served as an appetizer at real Mexican restaurants. Theirs has meat, vegetables, and beans in with the chips and cheese. Wonderful! Enough for a meal for me.
I don't think they put salsa (tomato based sauce) or guacamole (avocado dip) on top of their first tacos. A must. They are small because corn tortillas are much smaller than wheat flour ones. A meal would be 2 or 3 or more. And they didn't have beans. Another must. Also, it is meant to be finger food.
Firstly I thank you for your previous warning to your subscribers about ppl posting as you .I got another (I’m not dumb enough to open) I reported it!..
I’ve mentioned to you before about the wonderful Florida keys, I came across two videos that give quite the view and experience of the Florida keys
1: Things to know about visiting the Florida keys before you go.
2: the Florida keys 200 years of history
I think you’ll both love and might like to react too,
Ya'll gotta learn to get your face under the corner of the taco that way if it falls it falls into your mouth.
I liked the Double Beef Burrito Supreme hold the bean curd and sour cream with 6 packs of Fire. The nearest Taco Bell is now over an hour away and you have to pay for a ferry, so I'm making my own. Taco Bell's good, but...
I remember when the first Taco Bell came to my town, a taco was a quarter. All they had were hard tacos, burritos, enchiladas and nachos.
ayyy Taco Sundays am i right? 😂
Did you have to crank your car up at the front in order to start it too?
Gordo(m)/Gorda(f) means fat. The suffix -ito(m)/-ita(f) means small or tiny. Therefore gordita would be a reference to something feminine that is both tiny and fat.
Baja means below, but it is also used as a shortened name for Baja California. Baja California is the peninsula of California that extends past the US/Mexico border. Baja California gets its name for being below California.
The cinnamon twists are just deep fried uncooked pasta that they added cinnamon and sugar to. They expand when they hit the grease and it forms air pockets. So that is why they taste so light to Millie.
The thing about Taco Bell is that it isn’t really authentic Mexican food, but it never was meant to be. It was just a place you could go to get a lot of food for cheap, which was good for my family because we were quite poor as a child. When I was young in the early 1980s-ish, you could get a regular taco for something like 39 cents or a supreme (they just add tomato and sour cream) for 49 cents and they had other menu items like a taco burger and they came out with the Mexican pizza in the mid 1980s. You could get a family feast for like $5. In the 1990s, I want to say it was more like 79 and 99 cents for tacos and they got rid of the taco burger, but they had several types of gorditas you could get for a little more money. It was still kind of cheap and still a good value, especially since I was still poor and in high school/college. At college our Taco Bell was combined with a Pizza Hut and that was the first time I heard it called Taco Hell, though other people also called it Taco Hut. Menu items have come and gone since then. I have noticed that the Mexican pizza for instance went away for a bit. I think they cited that since it required a special box that it was bad for the environment or some nonsense (like they weren't still putting take out orders into plastic bags). Months later, it came back at twice the price. Anyone really paying attention knows that they did it - people were so glad it came back that they complained less that they hiked up the price so high. Tacos are now closer to $3 each and while they sometimes have deals like Taco Tuesdays on their app and combos that are still a good value, most of their stuff has gotten ridiculously expensive. Mexican pizza is almost $6 now by itself. Taco Bell was never known for being healthy, but it was cheap. Now it isn't, so I don't eat there very often. When you have a choice of a meal from Taco Bell or you could eat healthier or tastier food for the same price someplace else, then you have to admit that Taco Bell has kind of lost the advantage they once had. I also think it used to be bigger and higher quality, but that may just be me.
That said, if you have had Taco Bell, then you aren't missing much if you only missed trying a specific menu item. Most of their stuff is the same main ingredients arranged or cooked slightly differently and sauce does help if you want to add some kick, but a lot of it has a similar taste, regardless.
Mexican pizza is sold in the Florida Taco Bell's. This is within the Tampa Bay area.
That sounds yum!!@@davidcosta2244
Tacos aren't $3 they're less than $2, something like $1.37 Taco Bell is my #1 fast food choice. If I get tacos I order them Fresco style, they take off the cheese and add a mainly tomato salsa. It's very good and less calories plus they don't charge for the Fresco Style.
@@Sharon-pb7so Tacos haven't been that cheap at my taco bell since the 1990s. It was $2.89 when I went there two days ago for a taco supreme. To me, that is nearly $3.
My favorite is the chalupa supreme.
I like their Mexican Pizza too. Y'all are just lovely together ❤
My go to order is a steak quesadilla, a crunch wrap no tomato and 3 doritos locos tacos. Diablo sauce on it all lol
My husband and I usually buy 1 of the cinnamon crisps and we should buy two. I could eat them all, but I am a big cinnamon fan. M-m-m. My favorite is the burrito supreme and my husband always get the bean burrito. We used to have a place called Mr.Taco here and they were basic, but good.
I go to Taco Bell all the time. Never heard the phrase “bell head.” Maybe I’m just not in the know...
I used to work at one for a few years. We could custom build our's (co-workers)
Sauce!!!
Hilarious, the little cheese melt roll up is what we usually get for little children that can't hold & eat tacos or burritos that's why it's so plain on purpose, for toddlers & up & they won't make such a big mess & most little kids love the cheese roll ups. My favorites are retired I think, I loved the Encharito,,- retired , the shredded smoked chicken smothered burrito- retired, the Mexican Pizza - retired,
the green chili Verde(ver-day) sauce was the best sauce ever. - RETIRED They need to bring these back. The remade the rice which is dry now, they need to bring these all back, they were great. The Brisk mango tea is great along with the Baja Blast & do they have them in the UK along with the frozen drinks are a must. My favorite is Taco Bell BREAKFAST IS SO GOOD. 😅❤🥭🍍🥥🌮🌯🫔🥙🥘🙏
Gordita comes from Spanish word "gordo" for "fat" as overweight. "-ito, -ita" is a diminutive much as adding -y at end of words such as daddy, Kathy. May also refer to it being large and fried Without being offensive.
When I was young, we used to go out after drinking and go through the drive-through at Taco Bell. It was the cheapest food you could buy and you could get Crisp regular taco for 59 cents. We’d get 5 or 6 each and gorge ourselves.
Bruh.
I remember when they were 39 cents.
The one kid hit the nail on the Taco Bell head, it is the same taste but in different packages, some may be crunchey some soft, but taste the same.
Even in the 90s chilitos were 59 cents. I cant find any reason to diss taco bell.
Baja Blast is nasty. Where was the mexican pizza or burrito supreme?
I mostly get soft shell taco supremes and burrito supremes
Woah wait… I’m more than halfway through and I haven’t even seen a sauce packet… It’s not complete without fire sauce applied!
The crunchwrap supreme is excellent and my go to. Since they ordered it in the UK their version is likely not made as well as here.
The Taco Bell sauce, Mild, Hot, Fire, vastly improves the taco. Otherwise it's like eating a salad w/o salad dressing.
