I like mixed nuts so we buy the 36 oz. sq. plastic containers that the nuts come in and use them for our dry goods like rice. They are square so they nest together and are big enough that they hold a lot. They are clear so you can see what's inside.
Added ideas..Most diners have great large plastic containers (square or round..from mustard, etc) that they are happy to give away. Used "Box wine" cartons are great for books/filing/magazines, just cut the corner at a diagonal. Great video! And as always, Be well.
I repurpose cereal boxes for this, too. I cut them down to about 3 or 4 inches tall, depending on what they hold and where they are housed. They are pretty sturdy.
So far, the sponge holder. I NEVER get paper bags but I do get things in Amazon boxes. I fold down the sides and use those in drawers and for storage. I regularly order Palmini products and those come with ready-made dividers I have shipped with cans of three or six. The pillowcase lining a box was a great idea. I use an empty milk carton on the counter for trash items such as used tea bags, K-cups, Splenda packets, and small paper waste, until it is filled and then I put it into a big trash container. My Keurig is not near the built-in pull-out big container. I also use a plastic gallon water bottle with the top section cut off. I put a plastic produce bag in it, put my food prep waste in it, then when it's full I tie the bag and put it in the trash. That keeps the trash container and the cabinet (it's a pull-out with a handle) much cleaner than if I were opening it with each item I needed to toss. I store all sorts of loose items in see-through (parmesan cheese and coffee creamer) empty and cleaned containers once I remove the labels. For example, everything I need to cut and file my nails is in one container which is in my RV medicine cabinet. With a cap on nothing is ever lost. I enjoyed this video. It's motivating to see clever ways to "decant" products in their own container. Genius!
I like your tip on using milk cartons and water bottles for garbage! I hate throwing them out but can't figure out what to do with them ... your tips are the "why didn't I think of that?" kind. 😂 Tyfs
@@briannab5296 If this helps, I'm glad. What is nice is that both the milk cartons and the big-gallon water bottles with the bags inside are considered disposable but don't have to be. You can use produce bags in both containers if you don't go through the milk cartons quickly. Also, the big garbage bag boxes are good for capturing eggshells (nothing else) if you want to save/dry/crush them to use in your garden so your tomatoes and peppers don't get blossom end rot. Put several layers of heavier-duty grocery bags in it, then when it's full, use the bags to crush the shells with a heavy object or a rolling pen. If you save coffee, fix up a garden container where you can save that. No sense in paying someone for garden additives when you have them already. I was born during WWII so my parents brought me up this way.... 😉
@@judyross182one way to keep the compost from stinking up the kitchen is to freeze it until you get home to add to your compost or beds. Our new rig has a bigger refrigerator, so I’m going to designate a reusable container with the produce bag for kitchen scraps. We do lots of harvest host stays and don’t always have access to frequent garbage stops.
So far my favorite is probably the sink sponge holder but I love all of the ideas so far! Thank you so much for all the tips on these videos! God bless you!
I can see me using the box and pillow case in our bathroom to keep the lesser used beach towels rolled (vertically stored). And maybe for laundry “bens”, wash the pillowcase with the laundry, then carry the clean and folded laundry back from the laundry facilities! I’ve decided no more hoodies for me since I never use the hoodie and it takes up so much space. In our last rig we had a corner shower that was rounded. I bought a shower curtain and placed across the top of the shower. Just laid it up there, then we had plastic skirt hangers to hand our towels from. Then hang them on the curtain rod, cuz there is never anywhere to hanger towels. Our camper on order had a rectangular shower….hopefully this will work again for us. They only fell down maybe 2 times in about 15k miles.
Could you fold the handles down before you fold the sides and make it a little more sturdy? I've never used a divider for socks. Does it really save more space than just rolling your socks together and putting them in the drawer? I've recently started using laundry detergent sheets and all I can think is "Why didn't I get these sooner?" I LOVE them.
❤these ideas because you can use them in a house if you’re not a full time RV’er. Like you said, not everyone has a budget to go out & buy pre- made items. I’ been a fan of repurposing items for years.🙂🙂
Great tips!! I just started watching your channel and was wondering about all of your pictures you have hanging up. Did you do those yourself? Been trying to find a way to display some of the many pics I've taken and i really like how those look.
no need to waste money on the labels, get a marker and write it or if they are black get the price stickers from dollar tree and label that way.. cheaper for us
I Love your videos. But sorry to say. This was the worst one you’ve ever done. I thought this was a joke. So much wasted time for a silly return. Sorry.

Great way to repurpose! Thanks for sharing
Pillow case box is genius
Thanks!
I think I have used boxes for trash, but I do remember using cardboard shoeboxes as dividers to hold underwear and socks in a long drawer.

Shampoo bottle sponge holder was my favorite. Thanks
👍
There are lots of channels where they do cool things with cardboard & contact paper. Great money saver!
I think so too!
Great hacks. Well done
Wow some great ideas thanks keep them coming 😊
I love the bloopers!
I just watched a UA-cam from Simple Quilter on purchases made at Harbor Freight. They really made sense for RV storage and organization.
awesome!

The obvious is usually the simplest, yet we forget to think of the obvious, lol. 🍻
Funny how that works! Thanks for watching

I love the hoodie fold! We must be barbarians because we just throw our undies and socks straight into a bin! No dividers!
😁
I thought paper and cardboard wasnt good to use for storage ideas due to bugs and such.
On another video, someone dressed up boxes using old t-shirts.
👍🇺🇲

Agreed and none of this stuff was no cost.
