Im a luremaker myself and i tried doing a shatterbait too. I drilled exactly the same way as you did holding the blade with my thumb and the drill broke. Ended up drilling straight through my thumb in the blink of an eye. Since then i clamp my blades 🤪

I originally thought the same thing. Considering that he used the skirted portion to make the jig too, I guess it really isn't that expensive. They're like $12 now.
@@TreysArt It's really all about the experience most of the time. I'm sure you would have caught something in some more productive waters with the original blade you made. Not the most practical but you could do the same thing with a really cheap spinner. I just really like the strike kings.
