I will try this for sure nice one jimbo and by the way thanks you for beeing honest about the chatter blade you could put the other video and just say nothing like most of the youtuber ... a man of honor nice one again !
This is a nice lure if you are into making your own, but there's definitely some good ones out on the market that you can buy already made :) catch a ton this spring!
Do you feel if the Mukai could skirt the patent by making some changes? If they were to move the weight back so the blade doesn’t hit the weight, the weight could slide a small amount so it’s not fixed in place like a jig, and with the hook already being free swinging as well as making the blade into a hexagon it would no longer fall into any of the key designs that man has patented. Technically speaking their main focus is the basis of a jig which is a hook with a molded weight on a hook with a blade affixed to said jig. With it being a free swimming hook and if the weight weren’t fixed in place it would no longer be a jig.
Not sure as I am not sure which part(s) are violating their patent. Could be the blade... Could be because the blade gets to be attached directly to the eye.. Could be the name! Regardless... I make my own when I wanna use it this way. Here's my thought tho... Zman to partner with Mukai for trout lures... They love to collaborate with the brands and rebrand.. So why not this for the trout folks and bait finesse fans?
Zman really needs to release a micro finesse chatterbait that they R &D for BFS. I get having a patent, the rights that come from that, but there is a hole in their product line.
Use the flat wire Bender's to twist not your fingers 🧐 cut you good lucky it just pokes your finger. Use your tools not your skin just more safety. Great show letting people know you're trick 👊🏼🤠 New Mexico high Desert trout will like this lures.
Thx for the tip. I had something similar but lost it during moving. U got any specific tools you can recommend? Like a link or a product name? I been wanting to get one again! I'd love to fish the desert trout lol... I assume high mountains?
Do you have any suggestions for a hook that has a bait keeper on it? I really love the Z-Man Flashback Chatterbait but the lack of a bait keeper severely reduces the amount of use I get from plastics, especially Mule Fishing plastics which I can catch dozens of fish on normally.
Unfortunately I don't. But I am running into the same issue. What I think I wanna explore next and if it is successful, I will share with u. And that is I am gonna tie my own mono bait keepers like some Japanese hooks have! Gonna take a bit for me to figure out things. But hope that idea will get you started in your own research. I also like the Eurotackle soft lock rubber bead idea.. But that doesn't work for zman or Mule stiff... So yeah... The easiest I have done... Is just wrap thread on the shank of the hook. Then put ur lure on... Once u find it perfect... Pull it a bit back and add super glue! It will be on a very long time :)
@@rawrfishing'd be curious to hear your thoughts on an idea I had... What if you made a chatterbait with a 'baitholder' hook? Gamakatsu and Eagle Claw produce them and I'm certain many other brands. I just happen to have seen those two brands in Walmart. It's a regular hook, but it has these tiny barbs on the shank. I remember them as the first hooks I fished with when I was young and still fishing nightcrawlers. I don't know if they'd work as well as a nice wire hook keeper like the Mule jigs have (they're my favorite) but do you think that would do something? I might experiment with it myself soon! Edit: Sorry if I completely over-explained baitholder hooks. I only recently learned that that's what they're called lol
Phew.... Glad u have found it.. Most importantly, glad I did not screw up lol... I make so many videos do it's hard to remember em all. But the medium size is key... But some folks have made the small work.. But it's hard.. And don't get the bad brand! Count bass is the way for now!

Very good chatter bait project. I just might have to try it out. Thanks so much for the tutorial on it. You are the best. Be blessed my friend.
You are very welcome! Hope you catch a ton with what you make!
AaaaHaaa... another project of mine coming up😜 Thanks Jimbo
Have fun! The secret is out :)

The flashback Mini are available at 1/16th and 1/8th Oz, which are perfect for bfs fishing! Give those a shot
I know that I’ve been commenting a lot but I love to learn. Just wondering have you ever made baits something like this for Crappie?
This will work for crappies too ;)
Hopefully my answers satisfy your learning craving!
My clips/snaps I used is the “kahara quick lock snaps” in the size 000 and 00
Sweet. Thx for the recommendation!

Ur welcome! Slay well
Hook me up with them blades you don't like .I have a couple of streams near me that have pickerel in them so if I get bit off no big deal
I will be trying em with heavier lure application before I truly get rid of em. But if I end up doing so, I will let ya know.
Non riesco mai ad infilare lo snap nella micro blade della chatterbait....😢😢😢 tu come fai amico? Helppp
Size 000. U can find in Aliexpress.

@@rawrfishing I have a few Do-it Jig Molds 🤔 you sure do got the gears in my head cranking Hmm I need some them Blades
The count bass store got a few other shapes and sizes too if you wanna explore
If a 6mm tungsten bead weigh 1.9 grams than does a 3mm weigh around 1 gram?
You will have to check from your supplier.
how did you get the snap on the chatter blade without damaging it ?
000 works best! But I have broken a few that were larger than that
Do you sale them
Zman would send their lawyers at me if I did!
What size blade should I get?
Did I not answer that in the video? I believe it was key importance of this video
@@rawrfishing let me check
I found it thx for the video tho
