- I made a video talking about how insane the ZSU-57-2 SPAA is in War Thunder, especially when it uses its APHE shells. Unfortunately I forgot to actually use said shells, so we're running it back a bit. Two cannons firing nuke shells is pretty silly, as you can imagine.

Bro unlocking a core childhood memory by bringing up Mercenaries. Playground of Destruction is an understatement for that game as an experience. Loved calling this in or hijacking it from enemies before tearing up a whole convoy. Good memories
here to make the same comment, Mercenaries is one of my favorite games ever and the ZSU in it was so ridiculous. When I started playing WT I couldnt wait to unlock it solely because of Mercenaries.
I know its not the same but you can still play Mercenaries 2 on PC on EA or GOG. I still own it but they might have removed the option to purchase it since, I'm unsure.

Another light tank that has a good canon and excellent mobility is the Radkampfwagen 90, day 20.
Or the Centauro 120. One of the (few) Italian vehicles at top tier worth a damn.

Ugh. Gaijin doesn't know how tires work and every wheeled vehicle responds like it's being driven across a greased-up ice sheet. Also the damn thing is too big to function as a true light tank and yet it has no armor so you can't put it on the front line.
Wow that Bud Light Actual guy, scored 3 bomb kills, had 4 ground kills when Spookston shot him down. Meaning he got one ground kill, spawned a plane, got a triple bomb-kill then rage-quit the second he got shot down. What a loser.

i have seen a player that had 177 deaths ina panzer 4 f2 and 0, yes, *zero* total enemy tanks destroyed.
in that match he could spawn in a bomber and bomb 3 of us, and that 3 were the only enemies he could destroy with 177 deaths
its part of the game mode as much as playing an spaa or tank is, cry about it. or maybe research SPAA line you baby

One of my favorite vehicles in the game. Bringing a good HEAT round and a telescope to late WW2 is just dirty
The ZSU-57 was OP in Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction because it was immune to small-arms fire, and the enemy AI would never have an angle to shoot down into the open top.
It's biggest weakness was the small ammo capacity.
87% of the time, you'd only face infantry or light armored vehicles, and the ZSU is the perfect counter to those.

I've been in an IS-3 and been killed by a ZSU-57-2 head on. He somehow bounced a round off my mantlet down through the drivers hatch. And since he was using the APHE, the one round killed my whole crew.
The editing and 9:49 is so good. The cry is louder as he is zoomed in, and quieter when zoomed out. Nice attention to detail, albeit meme-y.

Its hilarious because whenever I see a ZSU-57 I think of the OG Mercenaries game lmao. Played that SO much when I was younger, I can still hear the voicelines of the enemies in my head.

Me too man. I grew up on that game. I have memorized the cheats . That game was so fun and it's decently repayable 20 years later. Insane. The magnet on the bottom of choppers was great and you could fling enemies off mountains or launch enemy NK jeeps miles high with 4 c4 placed close by hahah
@@tacomas9602 Get the airport baggage vehicle, activate the invincibility cheat and then use the first laser guided airstrike you get near the vehicle, but just before it lands and destroyes everything, enter the vehicle and you will fly across the whole map.... GLORIOUS

You really have to play this medium tank, its the FV4202, a british medium tank that is an early protoype of the Chieftain, it's armed with a very high pen APDS shell for its br and its very fun (attempt 26)

@@YourBoyLarry2 still i see the m901 or ratel 20 as better suggestion, a British bus with ATGM and a 20mm sprayer at 6.7 aint like normal tanks, has thr ability to obliterate any tank in 1 one shot but its large, has to stop to fire and only 4 ATGM so he has to get out of camping site to reload
@redhood996 I actually really like the ratel 20, the Milan atgm acts like heatfs so it sometimes is a bit painful but it's very, very good it deletes king tigers lmao

yeah, ZSU57-2 was in mercenaries 1, it was... okay... the gun dispersion meant you couldn't necessarily deal with rpg infantry well, if you encountered a BMP or tank you could be in big trouble, and it the gun dispersion and turret traverse meant you'd often be fodder for helicopters. Plus, being open topped, you could get hurt by simple rifle and mg fire.
It was pretty merciless when it came to light vehicles, though. You *could* kill NK infantry spawn tunnels with it, you'd just be shooting at them for a while.
Tbh, the K-200 IFV for the SK troops and the M3 Bradley for the Allies had a lot more utility to me for purely combat means. Both had better autocannons that fired faster, both were more responsive in driving, and the Bradley had TOWs.
The most OP thing about the ZSU57-2 was that as a tracked vehicle you could run over light vehicles without taking much damage, and as an NK vehicle you could use it as a great disguise to sneak into the softer, more vulnerable parts of NK bases and cause havoc.
ZA-35! Its a wheeled gepard that holds the record for fastest nuke and XM800T buff! 1 belt same shell amount and can reverse in -43km.

Yup, Za-35 is insane. I've had around 2min nukes with it as well but never bothered sharing it. I think my fastest was like 1min 40sec to get 2.5k rp. I have over a thousand games in it and got nearly a 3k/d 😂

Core memory unlocked with the mention of Mercenaries. God I loved that game, and it's sequal, as a kid. Was a lot of fun, especially using the ZSU 57, which was extremely powerful and could demolish everything lol.

Was reading about the 'new' version of the Shilka. It sounds like its role was intended more as an infantry support/escort vehicle than anti-aircraft when it was being used to back up tanks in the near east.
The SPAA version has radar and less ammo, i believe the changelog said this version has no radar and packs more ammo. Probably served well at quickly supressing infantry with RPGs
Yup, I believe it was also very good for countering targets in high rise buildings which were above the maximum elevation of the tanks

@Spookston the difference between the two APHE shells is one has 13grams of explosive filler the other does not and fyi yes the one with the explosive filler is the last researchable ammo type. Just thought I would help you out besides that I love your videos and keep doing what you love!❤❤
It’s interesting that on the shell card; the straight AP has a regular tank shell animation, but the APHE has an aircraft/autocannon belt animation

Another goofy anti-air that you should cover in a video too is the new taiwanese Antelope! It's been quite fun so far to be driving a toyota truck with TC-1L missiles on it.
Pro Tip: always brings half of ammunition (around 28-32) while using this vehicle, because most of your ammo will be stored in the body instead of turret :)

For anyone wondering, the commander says “Tsel Unichtozhena” for target destroyed and “brony boynost gotova” for armour piercing loaded. Just incase anyone feels like being a Soviet tank commander in random public places
In the T1E1 90 video you mentioned that you were wondering if any vehicle has the US 90mm gun with a reaload of less than 7.5 seconds, well, the ST-A3 does.

I hate facing them from time to time, especially a bushed up one that my team ignores allowing it to run free on the flanks. But I love when they overestimate their abilities and run into my Falcon. ZSUs are Falcon food.
Day 14: I Implore you to play the Rooikat Mk.1D. Its fast, it can resist 50cals to the front, and its cannon tickles enemies to death.
My rule of thumb of playing zsu is if there is less than 6 rounds in the mag im loading a new one, as there is plenty of ammo, and you can basically bring full ammo because you are only relying on rng to survive anyways.
Intra clip is very fast at around .5 seconds with long reload can be detrimental when engaging in longer ranges against light vehicle as diapersion bad

The ZSU-57-2 in that game is kinda like WT, great against infantry but not as good against heavy tanks
ZSU crew replenishment has been broken a few updates and patches now, near as i can tell, it depends on a certain combo of crew dying, has happened with russian and israeli ZSU pretty consistently

sequel was cool just cause all the shit you stashed slowly showed inside the base and made a mess
