@gilowens5785 Unfortunately, it doesn't feed the algorithm as hard because the uploads aren't more frequent. Tough to do all the building and engineering of this project and put out daily vlogs or something. It would be a lot of garbage content.
If I had to nitpick: it's still a 90° bank angle engine. But let's be honest, modding a block to the perfect 72° for a V10 would be utter madness. What a project! You guys might want to look into getting a high SPL microphone though. (Thats high sound pressure levels) The current set-up clearly succumbs to the awesomeness of an unmuffled proper equal length double 5-into-1 V10.
Agreed on the mic, but on the bank angle, the Ford V10 is split pin so the exhaust pulses are even. The Lamborghini V10 is also a 90deg bank angle. It's based on the Audi V8 I believe. The 5.0l Lamborghini has split pins, 5.2l has straight pin and is odd-fire.
Sounds even crazier than I thought it would. I've heard so many of this mod v10s and they always have this v6 kind of drone to them. This thing sounds insane! I bet with it toned back with a good muffler it's going to sound like a true exotic. Great work guys!
The thing with typical 6.8s is that many just cut off mufflers or straight pipe them, thinking it's gonna sound beefy like a v8 or like a Viper, and proceed to be disappointed when it doesn't even sound close to either. It's REALLY easy to make a 6.8 sound bad. That is not to say it CAN"T sound good as I've heard some screaming off their limiter from individuals that spent good money on proper exhaust setups.
@@zacharychavez3482 It sounds like a Huracan once they put the X pipe on it, it's all about maximizing those pressure waves. Maisteer has a good video on why this happens called "f1 sound is fake"
@@amazin7006 Oh, I agree. With the right setup I've always thought they sounded like lower-revving Lambos. Not a bad sound at all, it's a just different sound than what's typically expected.
Dump both banks into one collector for the ultimate sound. Basically a 2-into-1 setup. The crossover helps but balancing the exhaust pulses directly together in one pipe creates the most exotic sounding pitch and tone. Also improves scavenging for better flow and improves mid to upper end horsepower output. Great vid, thanks for sharing! Very fun.

Glad you enjoyed that, it was fun to make!
Amazing guys - keep going we are here
You guys did an amazing job and no one can deny that. I would think that aside from having a flat plane crank and less than half your displacement it’s the 20,000 RPM that made those F1 V10s sound that way. I like the way your motor sounds much more.
Where have you been all my life? SO glad I just found you.
Always great seeing Fueltech stuff being used
I thought it was amazing and then you rascals put the x-pipe on it. Astounding build. Proves its not the size of the garage or the production team that matters, it’s the size of the car builders’ desire that counts.
