  • Welcome to my 2021 SOBO attempt of the Continental Divide Trail!!
I only have one golden rule here for you as viewers: negativity, shaming, bullying etc will NOT be tolerated in the comments, so if you can’t be kind, be quiet.
Follow along as I head towards Mexico and show you the beauty of the CDT by hitting that subscribe button! You can also find me posting updates on Instagram: @ms_rebecca_ann
If you’re interested in helping me on my adventure and want to provide “trail magic” from afar, I do have Venmo (@bergstromra) - any amount is so very appreciated, even if it’s just a 5 spot to grab a cider in town.
Thank you all for watching and supporting, I hope these videos help inspire you to get outdoors and/or follow your passion. We’re only given one life and it’s meant to be lived, get out there and live it!

Is anyone else experiencing volume issues? I have it turned up all the way and I have to have my Bluetooth speaker right next to me to hear. Love the videos!

Very nice to see you back out on trail. I know I speak for others in saying I'll be looking forward to your videos from here until the end. All the best, all the way. Be safe and stay strong. Same to the rest of your merry traveling party.

Good video and fun to follow the CDT from both ends. (NOBO AND SOBO) Your audio is faint and tough to hear. Might try a Rode mic with iPhone adapter, Just a thought!

And/or increase the volume while editing, knowing you can only increase it so much w/ most editors.

7:54. It's true. If you want to get really technical, it divides into the Pacific, into the Gulf of Mexico, and into the Hudson Bay. You are truly at the top of the world there, or at least at the top of the North American continent. Great views. 🏔👣😎👍☮️

Beautiful video. I thought that the sound was a little better but, I had my volume all the way up from the start. Stay away from the bears. The news that I saw said it was a cyclist camping close to a town. The bear tore through her tent and dragged her out. Her companions drove the bear off but it had injured her too bad. Keep the spray handy in your tent where you can grab it automatically. Good Luck, Rick

Yeah sad all around. I did hear that the entire group had food in their tents to begin with, maybe moved it out only after the first encounter. I don't know the 3xact details but this is what it sounds like.
Just be careful with the food bro's! I get sketched out even having a wrapper in muh tent.

Yes, her name was Leah and she was in the middle of a bikepacking trip. You’re correct about the food in their tents. I’m afraid they felt a false sense of security because they were in town. Authorities shot and killed the bear last week. A tragedy for everyone involved. Never let your guard down in grizzly country, that’s my takeaway. Do it for yourself, the bears, and future visitors.
Best of luck on your journey, Little Skittle. Be safe and keep kickin’ butt!

Loving your videos and your narration. I'm not able to backpack right now due to both my right knee and the Dixie fire destroying my community/woods. I helped my buddy start going SOBO on the PCT form Hart's pass to Canada so he could start south. I respect all thru hikers SO much. My town of Chester (halfway point on the PCT) is still there but all my woods are burnt up. I'll need to go elsewhere to hike for a few years. Considering the Tahoe Rim Trail for now... safe travels and NO bears!

The Glacier area is amazing but I’m not sure I have the courage to hike thru there! SO many bears. Glad you are in a group!

My mom was up fishing in the same spot that woman was dragged from her tent. So awful. Another reminder not to keep food or anything smelly in your tent!

I'm a little sad that this one is not 4K, but completely understand that 4K requires ton's of space and cannot be maintained for long. Nevertheless, thanks for the amazing views and nice commentary. Those falls looked awesome!
P.S. 20 minutes of 4K footage can take hours, even at a site w/ decent WIFI.

I know you don't like negativity, BUT, I don't think we can hear your audio. Your ads come in loud and clear, but your voice is inaudible. I tried my phone and PC with the same results.

Yes and honestly, it's not a negative comment. It's literally helpful to her because I can't think that she realizes. Normally, I watch all other videos and my TV at vol 12. I played this one and had to put my TV to 42... for what it's worth.

    • @littleskittlehikes

Thanks for the continued feedback on the audio. Again, I’ve run the videos through Lumafusion 3 times, boosting the volume to the max each time. And I’ve had some of my trail peers listen to it in person and say they have no issues so … headphones?

    • @macthemesdj
      @macthemesdj 3 роки тому

@@littleskittlehikes Episode 1 was literally inaudible until you re-uploaded, this one is better but still has to be run to full volume to hear it clearly. Stupid question but do you have a phone case and are the audio/mic perforations clogged perhaps. All of your other vids are perfect....
