Finding Hikes in the Haze 💨🏔️

I wouldn't recommend anything too excessively excessive - Cirque Peak was out of the question given the amount of wildfire smoke in the air the day Jasper National Park was suddenly evacuated. But I still managed to find a fun time - a nice 12km to Helen Lake, followed by a dip in nearby Herbert Lake.
My heart & thoughts go out to all those in Jasper - the residents, visitors, workers, firefighters.

It’s amazing that the wildfire smoke was from what became that devastating fire in Jasper. Good thing you weren’t backcountry camping.
