Nice hiking! The beach south of Cape Lookout is one of my favorite hikes- you are on my stomping grounds there. When we did that section on the OCT there was a dead whale on the beach.

Ahh. The Oregon coast is a beautiful place to be, with the heat wave coming. Cape Lookout has lots of working water faucets and the “north trail” was recently reopened, after repairs from last winters “wind event”. Hope you enjoy my favorite suspension bridge. The crews did a wonderful job, fixing it also. I’m just a day hiker, now, but I’ll be checking out the “south trail” tomorrow. There are lots of Blackberries and Salal berries are in season also. Enjoy your hike ! PS. The best showers are in the CG on the east half of C loop. Separate & private.

You’re back in Oregon again! Very cool. I’ve only got one small section left in my OCT hike( section hikes). I carried a small, wide mouth Gatorade type bottle because most of the water sources are restroom sinks. Our parks department seems to have given up on drinking fountains 😒 Hope you had a great hike.

Good on ya! Not one to yuk anyone's yum but I just don't get it (FKT). I've never considered OCT since even after hiking all over the gorge and other OR areas I seldom have heard anyone doing it.

Dang Becca that stretch the trail was definitely full of obstacles. Are ticks a problem in that area? Back here in the southeastern mid Atlantic region they are steadily getting worse every year now. I'm thankful you didn't get hurt in the jungle there. So good to see you posting again too. Take care, keep safe and see ya next time😊

You are rocking this! I followed your hike in 2020 as your group went right by my place. We had awful weather with the wind knocking down so many trees that summer and fall. I didn't blame you for bailing on it -- it was wet and nasty during that stretch.

Just finished watching this hike what a beautiful coastline hike and 40 miles covered is an amazing accomplishment can’t wait to see what’s ahead on this hike if anyone can cover big miles with very little problems it’s definitely you for sure happy trails !
