✓मूल रूप से समवर्ती सूची में 47 विषय शामिल थे। 1976 में, पांच विषयों को राज्य सूची से समवर्ती सूची में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया, इस प्रकार समवर्ती सूची के तहत विषयों की संख्या बढ़कर 52 हो गई।
सरकारिया आयोग ने समवर्ती सूची को संविधान का धूसर क्षेत्र कहा क्योंकि ये विषय न तो राष्ट्रीय महत्व के हैं और न ही स्थानीय महत्व के
