Schnitzels are always good to have in the freezer in case you're ever short of time to cook dinners.
We don't really do much of the uncooked freezer meals like you do because it's just the 2 of us.

Hey Stacey? Do you and hubby butcher your own venison? We've been doing our own for the last 20 years because the butcher fee got so expensive. Wow do we get more from doing our own. We use the bones and make 50 quarts of soup from each deer (freeze or canned). This also allows us to pressure cook the pile of silver skin and gristle. We use the broth and the grand-dog gets the solids. I like to drizzle oil on the bones then season them and give them a roast in the oven for a great flavor. Doing our own also allows us to make things like bacon wrapped medallions and package them in little sleeves that are meals for two. Great on the grill or under the broiler. Hope your recovery is going really well. Take care of YOU! I bet you're enjoying all your pre-prepared meals, I did lots of freezer meals before my hip replacements and was beyond blest for the dozens of frozen meals for recovery. Take care!

You are such an inspiration. I am new and working my way through your videos, so you may have addressed this, but do you only have the freezer in the fridge, or another one to use for your freezer meals? A video on how you stock your freezer would be great as u only have the fridge freezer so space is limited.

But Kmart here i come....I also need to measure my freezer draws (there not big) but containers to corale frozen things in will help ALOT too. I have a question about the frozen breaded chicken cutlets you showed us how to make. When you cook them, do you thaw them first? And if so, how? I got a bargain on some chicken breast slices and I can't wait to try your technique. Thanks.
No you do not have to thaw them but if you wanted to it would be fine to pop them in a container in the fridge to thaw :-)

Glad you are working through it all and have supplies. We are just starting summer here.
Wishing you well on your surgery! I am six months out on my right knee and 10 weeks out on my left. Are they perfect? No. But I am functional and though not totally pain free (hard to describe ), the pain lessens as healing goes on and is NOTHING…and I MEAN nothing, compared to the excruciating pain of bone-on-bone pain of pre-surgery. No more having your knee(s) locking up, just standing at the kitchen sink, knowing that the first step to unlock them is going to cause you to gasp in pain. I didn’t do as much physical therapy as I should have with my right knee because I was ill for a few weeks, but again, soooo much better than before and the surgeon says, he’s fine with the progress and if I don’t get better range than I have now, it’s still great! Can’t wait to hear your good report. I don’t recall if you were getting one knee down or both. Either way blessings to you and again the best of luck on your healing!❤ BTW…I sure would like to have a few of your chilly days here in Texas, USA about now… we’re already having close to 100° days, even when cloudy! I always say we only have two seasons here in central Texas… Summer and almost summer! LOL😂. Please pop on (when you can) just for a minute to let us know how you’re doing.
Thank you, I just had one knee done. They took out the torn part of my meniscus. So, unfortunately, I still have the bone on bone pain, but no locking up now. Full replacement one day. Thank you for your message and take care in those hot Texas days.

your bravery sharing your kitchen encourages me to think maybe I can do that someday. I live off grid (I love it) kinda like camping every day lol we have a stick built home but no running water yet except for the shower. Anyway, good to see others out there that don’t fit into the “norm”
Woolies has those silicone containers atm 1cup measures x4 and a 2 cup measure x 2 with silcone lids. What a great idea to put them into food saver bags so you can reuse the silicone containers for next project ❤

Came back after dropping my last comment and hubby came home from hunting with a fallow deer, Lordy now i have my work cut out for me to get it all processed lol.We have had really cold nights but freaky our days are warm to get the washing out on the line, lol , i know normally it should be raining and really wintry but nope we make the most of what we are grateful for while the weather is on our side preping for the colder months. I love my souper cubes they are very expensive you can get a 2cup ceramic dish which fits the 2 cup silicone cubes. I freeze the stuff in the silicone cubes pop them into the ceramic dishes to warm and serve in. Which was invaluable when i had my gastric by pass surgery.
I always start of with a bowl thats too small too my other half always moans as he does the washing up.

Hi Stacey, thanks for the great recipes, including some I wouldn’t have thought of doing as freezer meals. Always good to have some things in the freezer in case of emergencies or if you want a quick, easy but still homemade meal! Thanks again and hope your recovery is going well x

Hi Stacey, I hope your recovery is on track and that you are getting as much rest as possible. With two surgeries on my ankle coming up I will definitely be making some of your freezer meals for our family of five, I don't own a chest freezer but will be using a camp fridge/freezer on freeze to store all the extra meals, thankyou!

Hi Stacey I love your recipes but I have to adjust them to suit a son who have medical problems he doesn’t like onion and sauces like tomato and bbq doesn’t like meatballs or meatloaf or many vegetables I love them he’s hard to feed sometimes I introduced a chicken meal last night and he spent all day saying I’m having weetbix but tried it and ate it woo hoo I can have something else we eat the same dinners week in week out drives me crazy so this mum is trying to expand he likes he used to eat everything till he turned 18

I had just finished two full freezer inventories using your printables when I acquired another freezer (from family) and now I plan to reorganise which means the inventories are wrong! Ha, that'll teach me! Seriously though,I would like you to tell us how you use your inventories - do you update every time you use something/add something, or just re-do it when you have lost track of what's where? (If you've already done this I haven't seen it yet so will keep looking).

That KMart container idea is a good one. I'm just me but might find something similar there to have a go with some freezer meals instead of using the glass containers. Currently getting through a lot of freezer meals and good to get new ideas.
