- Just a follow-up for my previous review of Tractive GPS Tracker. Last time it was maybe a bit too easy to find our cat but this time I was able to capture a bit more challenging journey of finding our cat! :D

Excellent review and beautiful cats. I was hesitating purchasing this device because I didn't think the map offered satalite view, but based on your phone I guess it does. Thanks for the help and good luck with NATO membership!

Yes, it's definitely their favorite place and we have many cats there, ours and my parent's :) It's Mars's 1st birthday today!
Thanks so much for the demonstration, I think we will buy it for our cat that is only happy outside but we live in a small apartment. We let him go and we lost him for 12 hours. We were so sad but thankfully he came back. Definitely need this tracker!
I have the same problem. However I don’t think they are getting lost. I think there is another person who is letting your cat into their home

So nice to hear that! Yes, the cats have so much energy and curiosity. Even with the GPS we will keep much eye on them, especially when they are still young and naive 😄

I’m thinking of getting one for when we go away in the Motorhome, could you tell me if it works when there is no phone signal as we tend to wild camp in remote areas

This one requires cellular network in order to send the GPS information to your phone. There are some other options like GoFindMe that do not need cellular network, although they are not specifically designed for pets.
thanks for your video. I bought it too as my mother cat has a litter somewhere outside and I don't know where. Mother cat comes home every evening, to eat. The tracker will arrive tomorrow and I hope to find her litter asap

Hi, Thank you so much for sharing. I have been using tractive for the past 5 months on my cat and it's been working great. The only issue is its size and weight which feels too cumbersome to be fitted to the cat's collar so I ended up clipping ti to a harness, which is causing skin problems and balding for my cat. She is almost 4.5 kg. I see that your cat wears hers on a collar do you think it's manageable that way? how heavy is your cat? thanks
They have a mini version now, maybe it’s small enough for your kitty
was it easy for your cats to adjust to the weight on the collar? I'm waiting for mine to get delivered as my cat keeps walking off into peoples gardens at the moment :-D
The cat started jumping around since it didnt know what the heck was stuck around its neck :D it was pretty hilarious looking. But they got used to it pretty quickly (young cats?).

I believe that the battery won't last for that purpose.

I live close to a forest too and my cat is always exploring around, I am so worried when he stay out all over the night. I think I will buy Tractive as well… dont you think is a good idea?
It's definitely a good idea! It will give you some peace of mind when the cat goes outdoors. Ours are still kittens so we only let them out during the day and check them periodically.
@@henrynordman exactly the same, I have 3 cats 1 year old and I am always worried about their safety… I’m just scared that this GPS collar is too big for them and they could be stacked somewhere in some very dangerous situation
@@archeofede9628 The collar has a mechanism which opens if it gets stuck somewhere. I think the design is quite clever in that sense. Although, few times it has fallen off the cat so I just ended up locating the collar.

I havent tested but it lasts very long

how many times do you charge it a week? and that's assuming you fully charge it?
We only use it when we go to the countryside and when letting the cats go ouside. So it will last for long time. But I would guess once per week if you use it continuously.
is it 100% water and snow resistant? the dog stays outside all day
Yes, it's fully waterproof!
