Hi I have purchased the cutting file, but i dont know how to set up the cutting setup for my own custimized size, like the though i have used the same height and width, the hole are not fitting in and i am wondering how can i set them up so that i will still be able to assemble them up after the cutting
If you resize a laser design all of the joints and tabs will change and you would have to manually edit them for the correct size materials your are using. This can be time consuming and I always recommend using the correct size materials listed and not resizing the file. Also make sure to use the pdf file to make sure your programs settings aren’t resizing the file on import. Here is a video showing different types of examples with editing and all that is involved with it: ua-cam.com/video/zKctAMQJLQA/v-deo.htmlsi=FP6KU0NjMSt7HbHD
@@FreshStartCustoms Hi thanks so much for the answer, so if i want to cut them with my customized size, i have to manually change each hole and each angle, so that they would fit in? btw. is there any setting for the holes? cause i have tried cutting with the original file, noticed that i was not able to assemble them together, the size matches but the problems are the holes, its very small that i can not put them together. Again thanks for the quick response, much appreciated!
@@Estheryaaa it sounds like your material might be to thick that your using or your program might have scaled down the file on import if you used the svg file instead of the pdf file. If you use the pdf file, the same size material needed, and don’t edit anything it should print as described.
Is masking tape a normal thing to use on all cuts? I am a newbie. I am looking for a small box to make a night light I am working on. Thanks for sharing!
I mask most stuff.

Love your videos and files. Could you please supply some hints on changing the sizes of your boxes using Inkscape?
I personally have never used inkscape before so not sure how helpful I can be there. But depending on if the box has groves like this one or none like the gift card holders you can go about it a little differently. If it has groves you can resize the whole design up or down all at once next to a sample square you can make with your material thickness then change the slot sizes afterwards. Same goes for the other kinds except you don't have to worry about the groves since there are none then just focus on changing the slot sizes and making sure they all line up correctly still when you stack the pieces
Whats name the program design
Illustrator is the program I use
can u share the file of this box?
I have the file for this box for sale in my Etsy shop here: etsy.com/shop/freshstartcustoms if you are interested in it.
Its a very simple box. 2 minutes on boxmaker and your done :)
