Overall just a bezel look much nicer and slick it was time for change in the style. 💯
@jessicatorres1876 interesting. I've seen that happen a couple times, but usually works again after a few minutes. I just checked and it's working for me. Are you outside the US? Unfortunately, these deals are generally limited to the US.

The drop in battery life is hardly a deal breaker. There's still only 24 hours in a day and a 1 hr charge brings the battery life back to %100. I always put my phone on the charger at the end of the day, no matter what juice is left, so the watch will follow the same program, being that I'm not going to wear it at night when I'm sleeping. I don't need a watch to tell me if I got a good night's sleep, I haven't had one of those in years anyway.
@@Mr.Tajfun I think vmax's point is that their 4 has sufficient quality+amounts of those features for their desires & usage. If someone charges their watch twice a day, they won't care about 25 hours vs 50. Same reason people stuck with analog watches during and after the quartz crisis. All some people want to do is tell the time, even if it means winding their favorite mechanical watch instead of getting an automatic.
Upgrading from the Watch5 Pro to the Watch6 is nonsense IMO. Maybe there'll be a Watch6 Pro coming next year together with the S24 series, then we have a predecessor for the 5 Pro.
Yeah, it is very strange that with the 5 they pulled the rug out from under the Classic people, and now they're doing the same to the 5 Pro ppl. Now that both had been made available with complaints on both sides... why not have both to see what really happens in the market?
I pre-ordered after Unpacked, because that bezel!!! No problem charging during dinner and bath, then it's ready to go for sleep tracking and the next day. I don't use the GPX. This 5 Pro has been good to me, but I'm letting it go for a nice trade-in value.
not releasing watch 6 pro left many confused about Samsung lineup, I just hope that the new pro will have a rotating bezel and better design a similar look to the 6 classic with better battery like 5 Pro, titanium and exclusive features.
This is the way they keep it fresh. Plus, this means that the pro & the classic versions will have 2 years of r&d behind them. Seems like a win win imo

I upgraded from the watch 4 classic to the watch 6 classic & immediately noticed the bigger screen size, which is a big plus for me. I've also installed the Alexa app & it does everything the Alexa app on smartphones or tablets does.

I'm upgrading from a S3 Frontier to a Watch 6 Classic. I can't use current apps that newer watches can and I have about 38% battery after a 15 hour day. I am looking forward to the new watch. I will miss the look of my S3 and all in all the watch has been extremely durable for as old as it is.
Samsung is so weird with their batteries but I guess light+small is what they're prioritizing. I've got small wrists, but the huge battery size of the 44mm over my past two 40s has me sold. I know they say they get similar batt lives but I don't see why a 44 would be close if you keep the AOD off w batt sizes of 300 vs 425. w my 5 sometimes once a day isn't quite enough especially if forget or take just a quick shower instead of shaving--then it doesn't get high enough, or I wake up the next morning with an 8% watch. And for someone who adores the sleep tracking (and other health stuff during the day)... I have slight battery anxiety with my 40mm, just like w my old 4. The slight increase in the new 40mms doesn't have me convinced, just like the previous.
I just purchased the galaxy watch 6 classic today for $150 bucks. After trading in my galaxy watch 4 44mm. So that even the battery life will be an improvement, over my previous smartwatch. I'm wearing it now, and the galaxy watch 6 classic looks AMAZING!!
We bought 2 watch 6's a couple of days ago, a classic for myself and a watch 6 for the wife, the strap has fallen off her watch 6 a total of 6 times so far including a replacement from the Samsung store. The store are refusing to replace the watch because it now has a tiny scratch due to falling on the floor in one of those watch strap failures.
I use my watch 4 alot throughout the day and wear it to bed. When I get up I put in on the charger for when I shower and eat at its back at 100 after that. If it charges fast, I'd rather have a better processor so it's not slow than last 3 days
Best Sammy deal is get the gw 6 classic 43mm with trade in . And next year, you can trade in again for GW 7. Look like Sammy is into leasing. Average out about $10 per month, not a bad deal.
After seeing the launch presentation from Samsung's about the new watches I ended going into a store and bought a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. It upgraded my Watch 4 Classic in battery life and in m precision data ( especially heart rate and VO2). I don't really miss the rotating bezel, since the touch sensitive bezel from the watch 5 Pro is extremely precise and much better then the other smartwatches from Samsung without a physical rotating bezel. While the Watch 4 Classic I had to recharge it two or three times a day ( hardcore to very hardcore day), the 5 Pro I can recharge it once a day or a day and a half since it recharges so much faster. I'm free from battery life anxiety, something that I've have not felt since the original Galaxy Watch ! I will finger cross for Samsung to announce a Watch 7 Pro for next year !
I think THAT is precisely their gameplan: one year release a "normal" watch, for daily wear, and next year release a watch for hiking/sports enthusiasts. As annoying as it is. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic *looks* definitely better, and despite the heavier frame, doesn't feel that heavy. Feels rather lighter than most traditional watches. But the heavier bezels also mess with the sensors' accuracy, which is another letdown. Watch 5 Pro has thicker bezels, bigger battery, no physical rotating bezel, it was not necessarily meant for daily wear, but people can use it as such. But I still hope the new Exynos W930 will eventually show its potential, once the watch learns battery use behaviour. It won't compete with 80 hours on watch 5 pro, but it's just sufficient to go to 2 days, which is sufficient for most casual users.
The Watch 6 (not classic) is really tempting, but there are just so many potential shortcomings. HR accuracy is supposedly less than great (far worse than Huawei for example), battery life is a lot worse than Huawei, Garmin and similar, even with AOD. Workout modes are far more limited. Try something like Indoor Rowing and you will (AFAIk) only get heart rate, no cadence or anything. Having Google Pay on my wrist would be cool, and the ECG/Body Composition features are surely cool, but beyond that...I just don't know.
The Watch 6 is worth an upgrade from my Watch 4 I'll go from 40mm to 44. Battery will be slightly bigger, too. Can't believe it's taken Google all this time to bring Gmail onboard! I won't have to use Outlook anymore. Now, if they'd bring aboard Chrome, I wouldn't have to use Samsung's browser. I sure wish Samsung would allow me to use my S-Pen from my S23 Ultra on my smartwatch!

While the battery cut does suck, the bezel and retainiing of the sapphire screen and increased brightness make it worth it. Plus, if you get the 47 mm watch 6 classic. Youll still have better battery life then orevious watches minus the 5 pro
I'm not sure about the 6s, but the non-Pro 5s are locked out of it by the software. A feature they made up to make the Pro look more enticing and "adventurous."
@@pop-upcardmaker No I haven't confirm if samsung still has the back tracking ,but I think they do for the classic 6 but I can't confirm it . I know they got rid of the route tracking for the classic 6 and maybe the regular 6 too.
I was hoping to upgrade from W5Pro, but you're either interested in Exercise or you're interested in Medical. I was hoping for CGM (glucose monitoring). Doesn't have to be perfect, just close. W5Pro already did ECG, but you had to find your way to it each time. I have AFib, so constantly getting an AFib reading is not that big a deal. Heart Rate and Oximeter are important. Besides, W5Pro is already a big clonker on your wrist; so, W6Classic 4GLTE is super heavy. Trade-in is $250, with mo money on top of what you lost last year @ $229. I'll skip it.
Ug, bummer but I preordered anyway. I like some of the new features particularly the quick release watchband. Currently have the watch 5 and enjoy the longer battery life so I give this one a test run and if it fails, back it goes and I'll keep my 5. Appreciate the heads up!
hi! thank you for your video, I'm currently using the Watch Active 1, should I just upgrade to the 6 or save money and get the 5? Honestly apart from the screen, battery and a new product, is the difference between the 2 worth it? thank you!
@@nowie4607 I decided to buy Huawei band 8 instead, GW6 accuracy review was underwhelming for me sadly, while it's true that wearable devices are not to be 100% accurate, I think for that amount of money for GW6 and have such accuracy results are a big no for me, so.... haha
I know this is 5 months later, but I admittedly noticed the reduced battery life. But only because the battery percentage dropped faster than the 5. But who's never around a charger? Plus you can still get 2-3 days out of it. I love the size (47mm) and the bezel. Also, while you mentioned no titanium version (picky, picky) the silver with the black band looks sharp. I like the watch. Happy I upgraded
I hope the smaller battery is not a trend they are going to keep. I bought 5 pro instead of this cause I don't want to charge my watch every single day. The digital bezel works just fine for me so I'm not bothered the loss of a physical one, though I wouldn't complain if it did have that but it's all just surface-level vanity things for me
I want to use the Galaxy Watch 6 together with my Galaxy S8 which only runs Android 9. Are there any features I wont be able to use because of the old android?
Classic and Pro are different user groups. I dont need the gpsx or whatever to find my way out of the gym. what I need tho is the ability to scroll while holding dumbells. SInce the screens are AMOLED. there should be an option not use the extra screen. Just pretend the screen is the same as last year and have a black/off ring around the UI
One thing he didn't mention regarding the battery is it only takes an hour to fully charge. In addition, you can charge it by simply laying the watch on the back of your Samsung phone. I have the Z Flip 4 and it fully supports charging this watch. So for me even though battery life is very important (I have a Garmin that lasts 10 days on a single charge), this watch at least has multiple charging options that make it easy to keep it charged.
You stated it is a different watch then 5 pro, but all negative facts are in comparison with the 5pro. Further, the only comparable watch to the 6 classic, the 4 classic which guys like me want to upgrade from, wasn't even mentioned in the comparison graphic. Verdict: click bait
What about the fall detection? I was not able to get it working on my Watch4 or Watch5. Nor have I been able to test this function. How should this function be tested? I noticed that all pre-watch6 state "Hard Fall Detection" and the Watch6 states "Fall Detection". To me this implies that there is something different. Was it enhanced? Getting assistance from Samsung on this has been impossible for me.
Samsung literally said in there description they are still offering the 5 pro for the folks that need it . I dont see a issue here choices are a good thing keep it moving
The main problem is that they're advertising this as a classic watch when it is actually nothing more than a glorified health tracker. The fossil Gen 6 is a watch that looks like a classic watch....comes standard with a linked no gap bracelet... actual pushers instead of flat active watch style buttons.. I mean I could go on but I don't think I need to really anyone that looks at those two watches side by side could actually tell you which one looks more like a classic watch and which one looks more like a fancier sports watch they found in a high-end section of Walmart or the introductory section in the department store And with a name with "6" behind it, you would think that they have gotten it through their head yet that nobody likes 20 mm lugs on a watch that is such a not normal lug size and mix the bands not necessarily fit the profile of the rest of the watch because it drops down to 20 mm.... and you think they would maybe make the classic version not have all that Sports eccentric nonsense because you know some people want to wear a watch that's more of an actual timepiece with Smartwatch features not a workout band with clock features. They need to go back to making two models but switch them up they either need to make the Galaxy Active line again or at least the regular watch line now being the active line and then they need to make the classic a watch that has the smart features but has completely removed any and all Health features kind of like what the Asus zenwatch 3 was... a beautiful looking SmartWatch with not one Health feature whatsoever
The Watch 6 Speaker isn't as loud as the Watch 5 Speaker. I did some comparisons at Bestbuy. I had the media and volume maxed out on the Watch 6. It's going to be harder to hear your notifications and hourly chime on the Watch 6. Same with music you play from your watch. Samsung really needs to add a 2nd speaker to the Watch 7 and up.
Please tell me your opinion regarding that flash when the screen goes off. Plus when the watch is off and you want to start it with the button, just press it and release it, you will also see a flash.
I've got one if the older watches, a few generations old. When I got it, the battery lasted a day. Since then I turned airplane mode on. I get 5/6 days battery now with it constantly connected to my phone (watch turned off at night). Had anyone tried this on the watch 5? Be interested to know what the 6 is like for battery if on airplane mode. I don't seem to miss out on anything by having airplane mode on
I have the 5 Pro, which has much better battery life. The 5 Pro lasts two to three days without charging. The software on the 5 Pro and 6 are basically the same. An upgrade from a 5 or 5 Pro to a 6 classic is not worth it. I suggest waiting for the Galaxy Watch 7 or 7 Pro. I don't understand why Samsung introduced a larger watch with a smaller battery.
Thanks, so much! these things don't really bother me- this has been my dream watch for ages and im finally getting it, thnak you for telling us, you helped HEAPS of people out there! Kepp doing what you are doing! Luv you guys!
Wtf would Samsung remove the route tracking feature? Unless there's going to be a pro version. I'd buy the 5Pro if it has a rotating bezel. Wtf Samsung!
Yep, there are plenty of real-time heart rate watch faces. You'll just have to enable continuous heart rate tracking in the Samsung Health app on the watch first. You can even set high and low heart rate alerts if you need/want them 👍
The GPS tracker is alarming. Why does the 6 not have it? I probably would not have used it but I know people who do and this is a glaring omission if proven true.
Less battery life is a deal breaker over an aready bad enough battery life on my watch 5. I'll wait & see if the galaxy watch 7 has a jump up in battery over the watch 5, not the watch 6, before I may decide to upgrade.
i get 4 days charge on 5 pro.. with some features disabled ..im waiting for 6 pro ..wtf were they thinking..with 1 day charge...poor design meant only to compete with apple watches ..my garmin watch gets 20 days .. lithium for battery's gets expensive these days..
Very disappointed, from the Watch 6, it's only marketing, the processor is not new, it's the W 920 inflated by 10% engraved in 5 nm .... Why not to have put a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 which is better and engraved in 4 nm?? The rotating crown returns to the classic Watch 6, but it was already on the classic Watch 4. The software side being only a normal evolution of 2023 which will be taken up on the Watch 5 and 4 in a few months. Virtually no change in battery capacity. Increasing the brightness will reduce the low power gain to zero. We are talking about watches at 450€ - 500€ which to have all their functionalities must be paired with a Samsung smartphone and some functions of which do not work in certain countries, see also the blood pressure measurement which must be calibrated every month by a real blood pressure monitor. Really disappointed, can't wait for the Watch 7 in February 2024.......
Agree. Seems to be a nominal change of any. Why am I still considering!? W4C is doing great. No need to get a shiny new toy that will be the same thing, bigger screen... okay need to have the internals. Let's go Sammy!

I'm not sure about the 6s, but the non-Pro 5s are locked out of it by the software. A feature they made up to make the Pro look more enticing and "adventurous."
@@quackman yep, it's something Samsung could easily enable via software update.
As a galaxy watch 3 owner I'm totally in love with this one
Will 47mm version of classic withstand 10-12 h of hiking with training turned ON?
Ug, bummer but I preordered anyway. I like some of the new features particularly the quick release watchband. Currently have the watch 5 and enjoy the longer battery life so I give this one a test run and if it fails, back it goes and I'll keep my 5. Appreciate the heads up!
The 5 Pro is the one with longer battery life. The 6 will have a slightly better battery than the 5, with the exception of the 5Pro.
hi! thank you for your video, I'm currently using the Watch Active 1, should I just upgrade to the 6 or save money and get the 5? Honestly apart from the screen, battery and a new product, is the difference between the 2 worth it? thank you!
I'm using the 2 and wondering the same. Did you upgrade?
@@nowie4607 no, I finally bought a huawei band 8, after seeing some test for the GW6 accuracy back then, I decided to get the band 8 instead haha
@@nowie4607 I decided to buy Huawei band 8 instead, GW6 accuracy review was underwhelming for me sadly, while it's true that wearable devices are not to be 100% accurate, I think for that amount of money for GW6 and have such accuracy results are a big no for me, so.... haha
Get the 5 or 4 , if you have to wait for the 7 later this year
I know this is 5 months later, but I admittedly noticed the reduced battery life.
The digital bezel works just fine for me so I'm not bothered the loss of a physical one, though I wouldn't complain if it did have that but it's all just surface-level vanity things for me
I’m coming from an apple watch 7 series, interested in the 6 classic or 5 pro, but has the gps issues been fixed?, because that’s a priority
I want to use the Galaxy Watch 6 together with my Galaxy S8 which only runs Android 9. Are there any features I wont be able to use because of the old android?
I'm still rocking my gear s3 frontier. Is it worth upgrading?
(Sarcasm, I'm know it'd be worth it. I did pre-order the watch 6.)
Should have waited for the gw7
Classic and Pro are different user groups. I dont need the gpsx or whatever to find my way out of the gym. what I need tho is the ability to scroll while holding dumbells. SInce the screens are AMOLED. there should be an option not use the extra screen. Just pretend the screen is the same as last year and have a black/off ring around the UI
I cherish battery life, and my watch 5 pro is still very well 😊
Amen, Brother!👍👏 😊
One thing he didn't mention regarding the battery is it only takes an hour to fully charge. In addition, you can charge it by simply laying the watch on the back of your Samsung phone. I have the Z Flip 4 and it fully supports charging this watch. So for me even though battery life is very important (I have a Garmin that lasts 10 days on a single charge), this watch at least has multiple charging options that make it easy to keep it charged.
I highly doubt there are any downgrade
Hi, could the watch 6 bluetooth version track fitness activities without taking your phone with you?
When does the deal expire?
You stated it is a different watch then 5 pro, but all negative facts are in comparison with the 5pro.
Further, the only comparable watch to the 6 classic, the 4 classic which guys like me want to upgrade from, wasn't even mentioned in the comparison graphic.
Verdict: click bait
Definitely click bait. Every video on UA-cam say "don't buy til you see this" 😂
@@JTxTXexactly click bait 😂
Yeah the battery life is not a problem bc I charge my stuff daily
What about the fall detection? I was not able to get it working on my Watch4 or Watch5. Nor have I been able to test this function. How should this function be tested? I noticed that all pre-watch6 state "Hard Fall Detection" and the Watch6 states "Fall Detection". To me this implies that there is something different. Was it enhanced? Getting assistance from Samsung on this has been impossible for me.
I think you just have to fall and stay on the ground for 30 sec+
The band is my problem I have with the Samsung Watch classic 6 47 mm..
Samsung literally said in there description they are still offering the 5 pro for the folks that need it . I dont see a issue here choices are a good thing keep it moving
How is comparing the previous gen Pro model to the current gen Base model any kind of comprehensible comparison? 🤔
The main problem is that they're advertising this as a classic watch when it is actually nothing more than a glorified health tracker.
The fossil Gen 6 is a watch that looks like a classic watch....comes standard with a linked no gap bracelet... actual pushers instead of flat active watch style buttons..
I mean I could go on but I don't think I need to really anyone that looks at those two watches side by side could actually tell you which one looks more like a classic watch and which one looks more like a fancier sports watch they found in a high-end section of Walmart or the introductory section in the department store
And with a name with "6" behind it, you would think that they have gotten it through their head yet that nobody likes 20 mm lugs on a watch that is such a not normal lug size and mix the bands not necessarily fit the profile of the rest of the watch because it drops down to 20 mm.... and you think they would maybe make the classic version not have all that Sports eccentric nonsense because you know some people want to wear a watch that's more of an actual timepiece with Smartwatch features not a workout band with clock features.
Is the $50 bucks discount over? Cant get it to apply using the link.
I don't see either. It seems they are giving a free second watch band for the $50.😢
$50 promotion worked! Thanks. Plus trade-in the classic is seriously discounted.
Awesome! Glad you were able to get a great deal!
I just pre-ordered. I'm still rocking my OG galaxy watch
Woah! Then this will be a BIG upgrade for you! Enjoy it and stay tuned, I have a ton of deep dive coverage planned for the Watch 6 and 6 Classic 👍
With the screen getting brighter. It would've been nice if they kept the larger battery. Especially for people who always travel. A genuine shame
I like mine better than the 5 pro. The screen is fantastic and the belzel alone is worth it to me.
I thought about trading in my watch 5 pro but i use my watch at the gym for fitness tracking and it seems like the watch 5 pro is the better choice
I don't seem to miss out on anything by having airplane mode on
I changed from a 4 classic to the 6 Classic. I really like it even though the battery life sucks.
Shouldn't there be a watch6 pro at some point to have a fair comparison with the watch 5 pro?
I have the 5 Pro, which has much better battery life. The 5 Pro lasts two to three days without charging. The software on the 5 Pro and 6 are basically the same. An upgrade from a 5 or 5 Pro to a 6 classic is not worth it. I suggest waiting for the Galaxy Watch 7 or 7 Pro. I don't understand why Samsung introduced a larger watch with a smaller battery.
battery life drop is not as bad as reviewers make it out to be....change your habits and increase your mileage
Thanks, so much! these things don't really bother me- this has been my dream watch for ages and im finally getting it, thnak you for telling us, you helped HEAPS of people out there! Kepp doing what you are doing! Luv you guys!
I literally didn't know anything about a smartwatch until today
guys please anyone tell me which one is better to buy :
galaxy watches with rotating bezels
or
galxy watches without rotationg bezels ( digital ) ?
Isn't it a bit expensive?
No
I'm gonna grab the classic in a 47mm & regular in a 40mm for sleep tracking purposes.
Wtf would Samsung remove the route tracking feature? Unless there's going to be a pro version. I'd buy the 5Pro if it has a rotating bezel. Wtf Samsung!
is the band for watch 6 compatible with the watch 5?
It should be, but I'll know for sure in a few days when my Watch 6 comes in. Stay tuned for that video :)
is it have heart rate on display face ( real time) same Fitbit and Garmin or i need to open app to see my heart rate ???
Yep, there are plenty of real-time heart rate watch faces. You'll just have to enable continuous heart rate tracking in the Samsung Health app on the watch first. You can even set high and low heart rate alerts if you need/want them 👍
will it work if you have non samsung phone like google pixel 4a
Battery isn't much of a downgrade still the same as the watch 4
Will Samsungs new Galaxy Watch 6 faces be available to Watch 5 owners?
40 hours is that if you set it to watch only?
You cant compare the 5 pro to any other watch. Its in its own class
The GPS tracker is alarming. Why does the 6 not have it? I probably would not have used it but I know people who do and this is a glaring omission if proven true.
I don't care. I put it over charger every morning & use AOD whole day. Also, we have reverse wireless charging for use.
Less battery life is a deal breaker over an aready bad enough battery life on my watch 5. I'll wait & see if the galaxy watch 7 has a jump up in battery over the watch 5, not the watch 6, before I may decide to upgrade.
You can for more than 1 year
I love the 5pro with the 6 classic design, hey SAMSUNG notice my needs LOL.
How is gps/walking tracker and Spotify?
So whatsapp come to both new watches? 6 an 6 classic?
I have a W5, wouldn't mind getting a W6c for day use and W5 for overnight ...if both can be connected to one phone.
Can they???
Now I'm gunna have to take a Dremel to my 22mm garmin band to grind it down to fit a 20mm watch. Had that band on my s4 frontier for years now
does it work on xiomi phones
Not seeing $50 off with your link. Am I too late already?
how does the 4g LTE work , do I need to buy a separate sim plan
Its a $10 a month for att
Wait 6 months if you want the GW6pro.....😊
What happens if I upgrade my galaxy watch4 classic to and galaxy watch 6 classic
Baloney! I have the Galaxy 5 Pro Lte and i med to charge it every night or it will turn off during the night. 80 hours is a ridiculous number.
Is there going to be a galaxy 6 pro?
This guy: don't buy it.
Galaxy shop app: Classic 43mm out of stock lol
The rotation bezel is back ...thats all i needed to see
Can confirm the watch 5 pro does not last close to 80 hours.
i get 4 days charge on 5 pro.. with some features disabled ..im waiting for 6 pro ..wtf were they thinking..with 1 day charge...poor design meant only to compete with apple watches ..my garmin watch gets 20 days .. lithium for battery's gets expensive these days..
I only upgrade my watch 4 classic to new samsung watch if the battery life last 7 days minimum 😅, so boring to charge it daily.
Not "upgrading". This is ridiculous.
Me too, I don't care about battery life. Love the classic 6
We want watch 6 classic pro
This 👆
Great. Now let's wait for Z Flip|Fold 5 Pro
My watch classic 6 is ordered, It's on the way I traded in my 5 pro.
My bezel kept getting stuck on the 4. Fucking hated it
