The blonde girl is supposed to be Sylvia Plath. She lived a sad life. She suffered with major depression for the rest of her adult life. A doctor prescribed her medication but it only made her depression worse. She ended it all with carbon monoxide poisoning by sticking her head in the oven while her young children slept. She was only 30 when she died.
hi! bit late here but she is referring to The Riddle of Emily Dickinson by Rebecca Patterson -- bit expensive to get a copy but worth it (i have one myself). definitely crucial if you want to get into the Emily Dickinson literary analysis scene.
I’m kind of sick of historical figures being progressified. Her sister is the one many believe censored her poetry after her death. People were NOT ok with people being gay back then. She and Sue may have been put in asylums for that even if they lived 100 years later than they did.
This is literally the meme.
“Hey you know that I’m a lesbian”
*side-eye stare* “ I thought u were American “
💀😂
The writer's knew exactly what they were doing lol
@@actuallyimapanda A year later I still come back to see this because it's just so damned funny lol
Lavinia- “No.. she was an American” 😂😂
