- We searched the Neosho river near Locust Grove Oklahoma for a possible vehicle related to the Girl Scout murders of 1977. We received a tip from a private investigator about possible accomplices to the murderer Gene Leroy heart. We searched for a 1970’s super Bee that might hold key evidence and found several other vehicles that we went scuba diving on. I remember that after that happened Daddy started taking his gun when we went camping he said it was for two legged snakes
I was 12 years old when this happened I was in Washington State and a Girl Scout. I could never remember what state it happened in and it's crazy that I now live in Oklahoma. If Y'all ever need a place to stay I'm just out side the town of Bristow, Ok. Have plenty of room.

So scary. I was a Mom of a 3 year old girl and I am glad I never heard of this murder. I put her in GS when she was 8 and I did remember the stories I heard about horrible things that happened to GS at night when I was in camp as a child. I wouldn't let my daughter go 😮
I was a high school senior when this crime happened. It really impacted all kids here that our world was no longer safe as something this hideous hadn't happened before in our state. Thank you for coming to Oklahoma to try giving these grieving families some more answers
We were camping by there when i was 8 . At a cabin for a family reunion. The cops came by to tell us there was a murderer at large and to keep an eye out . Our electricity went out so they gave me a flashlight to go pee. Well as a kid i was shining it out the bathroom window. My family saw it and called the police that there was someone outside with a flashlight . Boy i got my butt in trouble. Will never forget it
I remember you had a "reel" on either Facebook or Instagram about what to do if there is a fire in a tree. I remember telling you to call the fire department. I'm glad you took that advice. This really gave me chills. I attended girl scout camp, in tents exactly like that in MO. But it was in the 60's.

Most people would have ignored it and then bitched when there was a massive forest fire. Thank you for being the best examples of how we all should be.
Sometimes back in the day, parts were interchangeable between cars. Look up and see if those parts would fit the car you are looking for.
General motors was Interchangeable.

My 8 year old mama was supposed to attend this camp but she got the flu & my memaw wouldn’t let her go.
This case really affected her as a child and it still does as an adult. It really shaped the way she raised me and my brothers, we had a very short leash. For a long time I didn’t understand why but now as a mother myself and after learning the whole story behind this case, I completely understand and I don’t blame her at all. I am the same exact way with my kids too…but I believe things are way worse these days, it’s so much more dangerous and there are so many deranged people. I rarely let my kids out of my site.
This world is scary sometimes. I just can’t understand why anyone would do something like this…it’s pure evil.
You guys are angels for spending your time trying to find answers to this long overdue unsolved case that has rocked our state for so many years. Thank you.

I was 14 when they were murdered. We lived an hour from the OK border. My sister and I were not allowed to go anywhere without one of our brothers until everything calmed down some.

My sons were in Cub and Boy Scouts. I never let them camp overnight. They got their camping and survival badges by mommy helping them. Even back in the day there were creepy stories.

I'm from Oklahoma and that story haunted everyone for years. We always thought the tents should have been closer together for girls that age, they had to be very scared out there. Been to girl scouts camps. And those tents are never more than ten feet apart from each other. So the girls in the next tent had to heard the girls cries. Unless there was more than one.
That is going to be a Tough One, with the case being that old, Best of Luck, Will be watching.

You guys should do a little digging on old cases like these where you can get images of surrounding areas from that time frame ( like aerial photos ) as water ways tend to really change over time especially 50ish year.
Not trying to tell ya what to do just a suggestion it might also help identify things in the area that may or may not have been there to help find things...

I have said before that you should get money from the government for the work you do, when the police don't do the investigation like you do.
Once you find the car, then the police take over, what they should be doing in the 1st place

My husband used to tell that if you had a second set of rims you could get a car of the 50s, 60s, 70s onto the rails and drive down the tracks. His dad did it all the time in Ohio when my husband was a kid. That would have been 50s early 60s.

When the tree fire came up I having a suspicious mind immediately thought signal fire, like those people were signalling someone that you were down there messing about in the water.

I was 12 years old when it happened and I'm from Massachusetts
My dad had a friend from work, that we would go see from time to time. He lived out that direction and actually knew Gene Leroy Hart. Gene would stop by his house every morning for a cup of coffee, and he would watch their two girls, when a baby sitter was needed. He swore, till the day he died, that Gene didn't do it. He said if he was a murderer, he had ample opportunity to harm his girls but never did, he even picked up the little girl once (she was out walking on a dirt road) and brought her home. On the other hand, most family and friends of serial killers, never had a clue or see that side. Just wanted to add that info. It's odd what triggers people to do evil.
What if it was never put in the water but maybe in the woods somewhere or an old farmers barn

Hi ! If the car in question you are looking for is in fact a Dodge - it rules out any finds from Ford or GM or 'foreign' car parts. The Mopar stuff used on Chryslers of that time should be easily identifiable. Nontheless: Good that you were searching and Thanks for sharing !
Im surprised yous found 2 cars in the area & they arent it. Im curious if the guy lied about the make of the car. Its also possible that back then parts were interchangeable on cars. They were on some for engines. I hope police clear those cars since others were missing. Great video.

I got married the year this happened. I was young and rarely ever watched tv or the news, so this is the first time I’ve heard anything about it.
My heartfelt sympathy 💐 goes to the families of these three young girls taken in such a tragic way. I pray these two gentlemen continue to seek and find the answers needed to put other perpetrators behind bars.

I would have been about 10yrs this country is depressing
I was just coming into the world when this happened. Yrs later I was in the Girl Scouts in Florida. I seen the documentary and it was so scary, the tents the girls were in was the same exact tents we were in when we went camping. I pray that this comes to justice and the girls can rest in peace.

Buddy Bristol said the car got high ended on a big rock. They got Colvins truck to push it off the rock. He also said they pushed it off the cliff. Im pretty sure there wasnt a rail road track at earbob back in 77. I know there wasnt any tracks when i swam down there in the 80s. There was docks where those posts are.
I never knew about this case. I was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for my daughter's troop in the 2000s. At that age, an adult would be in the tent with the girls. This is such a sad case. Camp was always so much fun for the girls.
Random tree on fire is kind suspicious. Thank goodness y'all seen it and called the fire department. I've only ever heard of that case never done any research on it. I sure hope y'all can provide answers to their families. Good luck searching for the car. The people or persons involved will habe to answer to God for what they did to those poor girls.

46+ years ago the terrain would have been totally different. Many of those trees wouldnt have been there & possibly some of the rocks werent. An aerial map of the area then would help. We drove offroad in the woods to the lakes in canada. Not on roads
