Can you help I want to put up acrylic shelves 12mm but I only want the edge to light up is it right that if sand this will do it ??? hope that makes sense
Mr.regis that's called edge lit And if it's a shelve then you can just use normal led on the edge facing inwards and hot glue it then take some black duct tape and stick it on top of it just enough wide to cover the led strip and 10-20mm on either side of the glass thickness that will direct the light to other edges.. And if it's a signboard or something then rather than etching the pattern or design on the glass you can buy some 3m etched or roughen vinyl which looks transparent but a bit milky and sanded and just stencil your pattern or design and apply it onto the glass and just do the same procedure for edge lit I explain earlier you will get not same but very similar result to a etched glass which is more cash and time and energy ..hope I helped thx
Shelves look amazing. Video is uninformative. There is no narration providing, types of wood used, measurements types of LED's etc. Good to watch but no practical use.
Awesome work
Very Awesome Job, gentlemen. Impressive.
Wow great idea - maybe one could put a diffusion layer in front of the LEDs so they spread evenly
That is absolutely awesome.

What thickness are the acrylic shelves? Great work!
6mm acrylic
What's the weight limit of each shelf when done this way? Does it depend on the backing used or the acrylic itself?
Acrylic can take upto 7kgs. Backing only makes sure it's vertical and stands.
Good job!! Guys you have a well equipped shop 😊where are you guys located in India?

what did you use for a power supply? build looks great!!
LED's require D/C voltage so they needed to convert from A/C (home) to D/C.
@@newone6410 yes I know this. That’s not what I asked.
Was this the setup in the flea market fest ? This is amazing by the way.
Yes this setup was there.
Showcase your shop tools on it.
That's a great idea. From the next video we will do it
