Is there a relay for the fans? I know there is a fuse but I would like to test the fans by bypassing relay to see if the fans are actually the problem. Thanks
It’s possible to replace it without taking the radiator hose off or draining fluid. If you push the hose behind the oil fill cap it will hold it out of the way.
Ideally yes. If only one is one, the motor to that fan is likely bad, or at the very least it’s not getting the proper electrical signal. One fan is enough to keep you engine cool especially while driving, but when at a stop or heavy traffic you may start to see temps rise. Also worth considering is if one fan is out the other may not be far behind, and you don’t want to find that out the hard way. Good luck! 😊
I have it in the description, but this one is a 2013. I’m not sure about other generations for sure, but the 2011-2014 cars will be the same. If other years aren’t the same they’ll at least be very similar.
I didn’t drain all of it, but it’s because you’ll need to disconnect the upper radiator hose and draining some out first prevents it from spilling out and making a mess later.

I really don’t think so. Even if you could you’ll lose a lot of coolant and you’re more likely to damage something in the removal process.
