People often forget that New Jersey is big (like 8M) people. And cities like Camden and Jersey City are only 100,000 people, so the majority of the state (north) is very wealthy and safe.
Having grown up in Connecticut, and lived there until 1987, the cities were the MOST dangerous I've ever lived in. WAY more muggings and property theft than anywhere I've ever lived. It was awful.
I have owned a second home in NH for the past 15 years and absolutely love it there. Not only is it the safest place to live but also one, if not the lowest, cost of living states due partially to no income or sales taxes. It's also been rated one, if not the healthiest state to live in. Overall, NH rates tops in almost every catagory that's good. It's a fantastic place to live & raise a family. It used to be a very conservative state but with the influx of people from Massachusetts and other liberal states, the political scene is rapidly changing. Unfortunately, it's not for the better. If this influx continues at the rate that I have witnessed over my 15 years of going up there, most, if not all of the good ratings will decline. Very sad to see this happen to a state l love so very much. I attribute the safest state rating to the fact that it was always an open carry state until recently when the law was changed to allow concealed carry without a permit.
I have not been to NH or Vermont in many years. So it may be different now, but then they had almost no welfare. The people who wanted to live on welfare left and went to other states. Seems like having few poor around would affect this. But maybe it has changed.
SAD??? I couldnt fkn get out of Idaho Falls fast enough, possibly the most shoot me in the face boring state Ive ever lived next to Alaska, your sad you have to leave?? I guess i'll just never get that
California is really safe from crime…when you make crimes like robbery, rioting, shoplifting, break ins, prostitution, drug usage and dealing are legal…then the crime rate would be low…I bet that is the same for New Jersey and Connecticut.
anybody notice that most of these safe states have very loose gun laws? three of them don't even require a permit for concealed carry, and a lot of the states with rougher gun laws like Connecticut or New Jersey probably don't belong on this list anyways. anyone that's been to Bridgeport, Camden Newark or Atlantic City would agree.
I’ve lived in Jersey my whole life, Jersey has a bad rap given to us by people who have no idea what it is to live here. Yes we have bad cities, but even those are getting better. For the most part everyone here is pretty decent.
I mean I live in Wyoming and I’m Mexican 🤣, but I’m not sure being white is the reason it’s safe if you ask people who live here they will say “we are allowed to own guns” that’s what most people here would probably say for the low crime rate
Perhaps it is crappy. But is it unsafe? If it's crappy and no one wants to live there or go there, including criminals, then it makes sense that it would be safe and still be crappy.😉
I live in Idaho! I just saw he put it at number 4. Its a nice state with great wildlife, and good places to hike. Im in Northern Idaho, and I think its safer the Southern Idaho, because Southern Idaho is more popular.
I live in Idaho and it's not safe. We've had more missing persons and child and female sexual assaults in the last two years and more gang and drug violence not to mention vehicle thefts and burglaries. You're more likely to get help if you live way out in the country. As for everyone owning guns no local news mentions of people protecting themselves with guns. For your information I believe in owning guns. Wake up people... Idaho locks their doors.

uh but virginia is not just dangerous in norfolk (thx for saying it right),danville,&portsmouth cities like newport news, hampton,& emporia are dangerous cities that have lots of gangs, drugs,& crimes everyday and schools are not all that good unless ur going to a private school
On an island in Maine, there is lots of trouble here, i can remember some kids stole a golf cart and drove it off the pier one summer ago, and i wont even mention the amount of bicycles that get "borrowed" without the owners permission, crime is out of control, especially when the "summer folks" show up.
You misunderstand the fact that the "numbers" are often cooked by city police departments in order to make their cities look safer. There is also the phenomenon of "Bronx juries" (look it up) and witness intimidation.
@Jake Merkley You're right. Since then I have seen many under the influence of various drugs. I use a Trail to get my exercise and see some people walking as if they've been taking Valium. @Jake Merkley It really is a sad commentary on all this drug infestation in the US. You would think that education could be the answer, but it isn't. I've been hearing this message for over 50 years and it still persists. I don't think that any message will cure the minds of this problem. So it's not about statistics so much, but 'Where', in the state you go to...I grew up in cool town in So.Calif, close to beaches, lots of great shopping and places to go for entertainment. Now I'm living in a small town, everyone is very friendly and I only lock my doors at night,, ( out of habit) I heard from the narrator how horrible New Mexico is at the beginning of this,,, so I had to say my peace ✌😉,,, so again.. People often forget that New Jersey is big (like 8M) people. And cities like Camden and Jersey City are only 100,000 people, so the majority of the state (north) is very wealthy and safe.
Really? I find that central Jersey is way richer
I’m here in Kentucky and I approve of this message 💯
Kentucky is nice, I got God-people that live there
LOL I like how most of the “boring states” in your other video are the safest ones. xD
😂 places no one of importance really goes.
Having grown up in Connecticut, and lived there until 1987, the cities were the MOST dangerous I've ever lived in. WAY more muggings and property theft than anywhere I've ever lived. It was awful.
Imagine living in one of the highest crime rate states than like Alabama Louisiana Mississippi Florida or Georgia they are way worse.
This ad brought to you by the new jersey department of growth and development.
@@junebyrne4491 you’re right. Few poor people means less crime.
Yes! Conservative means good child-rearing, people with a brain, tough on crime, etc.

SAD??? I couldnt fkn get out of Idaho Falls fast enough, possibly the most shoot me in the face boring state Ive ever lived next to Alaska, your sad you have to leave?? I guess i'll just never get that
I love the fact that the state with the least number of gun restrictions is the safest state. It's so intuitively obvious that this would be the case.
What a beautiful place! Thanks for bringing these tours to everyone's home safely!!

California is really safe from crime…when you make crimes like robbery, rioting, shoplifting, break ins, prostitution, drug usage and dealing are legal…then the crime rate would be low…I bet that is the same for New Jersey and Connecticut.
Yessssss, see what happens when you don't recycle the same content? Your videos turn out amazing! Heads up! 👏🏾👏🏾

That's the entire US in a nutshell, I can't barely tell a state/town from another (except big cities such as NY, LA, etc)
Where does this guy get his info New Jersey Connecticut NO SORRY Maine doesn't have blacks or illegal immigrants. Vermont has a liberal problem.
It does, but believe it or not, very few gun laws for such a liberal s---hole.
Maine does have black people, and people of color, that is a raciest comment, those individuals you do wrong not the hole race.
Btw I'm assuming your from NH a beautoful state
@@MainelyLove so when the colored pol moved in, why didn't the whites leave the neighborhood? Did anyone say "there goes the neighborhood "?
anybody notice that most of these safe states have very loose gun laws? three of them don't even require a permit for concealed carry, and a lot of the states with rougher gun laws like Connecticut or New Jersey probably don't belong on this list anyways. anyone that's been to Bridgeport, Camden Newark or Atlantic City would agree.
I live in Bridgeport, and we still have crime but it's going down though.
You are right I live in one of these states makes a big difference 👍🙂
It seems the the percentage of gun ownership, income, education, OR even drug usage are not the major factor
J Powers in Wyoming and Kentucky they are
I’ve lived in Jersey my whole life, Jersey has a bad rap given to us by people who have no idea what it is to live here. Yes we have bad cities, but even those are getting better. For the most part everyone here is pretty decent.
*Ah, Wyoming again. The 9th Safest and the 9th whitest...* 😂😂😂
What's your point? It's safe and quiet.
Arwen Bernard safer than California and Florida lmao 😂
I love Angelique I love boredom.
I mean I live in Wyoming and I’m Mexican 🤣, but I’m not sure being white is the reason it’s safe if you ask people who live here they will say “we are allowed to own guns” that’s what most people here would probably say for the low crime rate
I love Angelique Alabama

Perhaps it is crappy. But is it unsafe? If it's crappy and no one wants to live there or go there, including criminals, then it makes sense that it would be safe and still be crappy.😉
I live in Idaho! I just saw he put it at number 4. Its a nice state with great wildlife, and good places to hike. Im in Northern Idaho, and I think its safer the Southern Idaho, because Southern Idaho is more popular.
It’s safe because people are white
I live in Idaho. I’m not surprised. Guns are good.
@@charlenehoward3422 It would guess you live in Boise. Which I am told, since I moved to Denver five years ago, has in recent years seen a large influx of out of states.

Me too but I live in Montana so you know
Becuz it’s a small population state.
OK but remember to be one of the safest you also have to be one of the the whitest
Montana and Utah, weird their not on this list

Moral of the story: live in New England
Boring region, outdated infrastructure and full of judgmental people
On an island in Maine, there is lots of trouble here, i can remember some kids stole a golf cart and drove it off the pier one summer ago, and i wont even mention the amount of bicycles that get "borrowed" without the owners permission, crime is out of control, especially when the "summer folks" show up.
Wow sounds terrifying
Virginia is a REALLY safe state, I live here and it's sooooo safe.
Your videos make me happy. I L O V E all the cute images you show along the way. Very clever. Funny, too. Thanks!!
I don't care how safe a place is not locking your doors isn't smart.
Is there a correlation between crime rate and racial demographics?
You misunderstand the fact that the "numbers" are often cooked by city police departments in order to make their cities look safer. There is also the phenomenon of "Bronx juries" (look it up) and witness intimidation.
Just found your channel and love it! You've done a great job with your videos!
Depends on where you live in these states...
Great video Nick!
I'm surprised that Utah didn't make the list. People from California are coming here in droves, many to get away from gangs.
@Jake Merkley You're right. Since then I have seen many under the influence of various drugs. I use a Trail to get my exercise and see some people walking as if they've been taking Valium. Some have asked me if I have Marijuana or know where they can get some. It's hard to see how there can be so many people so ignorant in life. Jake, thanks for your comment.
@Jake Merkley It really is a sad commentary on all this drug infestation in the US. You would think that education could be the answer, but it isn't. I've been hearing this message for over 50 years and it still persists. I don't think that any message will cure the minds of this problem. This is something that we all will have to live with, doing the best we can, but knowing that it will still be around no matter what.
No matter where you live you should ALWAYS lock your doors. Common sense.
