A good trick to increase contact time is to remove the carafe to do a bit of “steep and release”/ clever dripper style. I often do this with smaller batches on the Moccamaster. Thanks for the great content!
I followed this recipe with some preground coffee that came with my Moccamaster and at the start the coffee was flowing well but then the brew basket filled to the drop and only dripped down in the carafe and took ages to drain. Anyone know why

This video is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. My Moccamaster Select will be arriving in about 3 days and I'm so excited. Kepp up the food work!
Thanks for watching and very glad it was of use. Best of luck with your new Moccmaster.
How many hours can I keep coffee in the pot?
I make iced coffee too with my Moccamaster CDT due to it not having a heating plate. I have 3 Moccamasters on my coffee bar.
Should have know that you'd have this video. Extremely informative. I'm a fan.
Glad to be of service!
I think I’d add the ice after the coffee has finishing brewing to avoid the ice being heated by the hot plate.
You want the ice in the carafe so the coffee contacts with it immediately, flash freezing the coffee ala Japanese style ice coffee

Hi Connor - out of interest, was the coffee from us?
Ever figure out how to remedy this? Less coffee?
