Have to say that a written copy of this most beautiful verse was found amongst my late wife Maureen's belongings. It must have meant a lot to her. Having read it I can see why. So beautifully portrayed by Rosamund Pike. Best I can say right now. RIP Maureen.
I would have much preferred a photo of Rossetti than the meaningless...and even vain, one posted. And why the hushed girly voice? Speak strong and Amazonian for heavens sake. A strong woman wrote this poem..
Beauty is not meaningless. Femininity is not weak. (And of course Rosamund, the reader of the poem, has a right to look as she does.) Peace to all; have a nice day.
I have no problem with the gentle way this was read: all a matter of preference. As for Ms Pike's photograph, it neither annoys nor distresses me...I think it goes well with her pleasing rendition. Chill out & relax.
Read this at my mother's funeral at the end of my spoken tribute to her, 2018. Very poignant. Beautifully recited here.
Beautiful reading of a lovely poem.

Half past one trying to memorise this poem while also cutting onions.

Did you succeed in memorizing the poem? Or you just cut the onions by heart!! 😂 Anyway, I loved what you wrote 😁✌️

Thank you.
If this doesn't bring tears to the old eyes, then what will ?
I want this read at my funeral.
