  • The Fish-N-Fool knot is a high-performance line-to-lure knot and is basically a unit knot with the line going through the hook eye twice. This knot received a champion status from the North American Fishing Knot Wars series and performs exceptionally well with braid, monofilament or fluorocarbon line.
This is a video addition to the very popular Wired2Fish Fishing Knot Guide. If you have any other questions regarding various types of fishing knots, you can find the answer at this link: goo.gl/V5KzPr

This is like a uni, but doubled over the eye. I tie this kind of "uni" knot when fishing braid, because I've experienced braid slip on the eye a little.

I am actually getting a huge response from the Fishing community on the “Simon clinch knot” It’s a knot that I invented and is becoming very popular on UA-cam. Just wondering if you guys would ever support a video on it? It would be amazing to have recognition from your organization.

So basically Its a combo trilene knot and a uni knot put together.

I don't think doubling through the eye strengthens it in this case. Its still just one thread of line holding all the weight between the knot and the eye. I want a knot that provides two thread lines of strength between the eye and the knot. A true double.

You don't have to "think" whether it strengthens the FNF knot. It has been independently tested and proven to be the strongest way to tie a Uni to an eye.

    Its a looped uni knot

That looks like a pain in the butt why not do something simple like a Palomar knot.

Chuck Englert Agreed. Works. Doesn't fail.

The Fish-N-Fool when tied the correct way is just as fast to tie as the palomar and it is about 30% stronger. that's why

@@BrianEarlSpilner Palomer knot fails a LOT, and its also about breaking strength. This knot has a 30% higher breaking strength.

Maybe I should clarify, I have never had one fail when not specifically trying to break a snag off. 👍😷

Not true, if you learn the correct way to tie the Fish-N-Fool knot it beats the Palomar in every way

Getting the loop around a big swim bait is a pain, palomar is great for terminal tackle but no thanks for lures. This is like a reverse San Diego Jam

except they dont just put it thru the eye of the hook, they loop it around.

So you're saying you are not a visual learner? Because, the video is so simple a caveman could do it. ( Kudos Geico for the reference)
