This is to all of you negative people making negative comments about this great little drone. First of all, I'm 71 years old, the first drone I bought it cost $57.00 after taxes and shipping, it was a nightmare to fly, no GPS none of the luxuries of a Mavic. It was an Eachine 58 or something like that, I practiced with it but never got anything close to good with it. Now, I'm the proud owner of a Mavic Mini and I love it! I'm not saying this because I'm on a DJI page, this little "Mini" will make the lousiest drone pilot look like a Pro, all you have to do is read the directions which are easy to read in various languages. I paid $529.00 for the "Fly more combo" at BestBuy, it was the best investment I could have made for a nice drone, I've taken videos that came out perfect, no complaints from me whatsoever. Anyone wanting the best, buy the Mavic Mini in the "Fly More Combo" package, you'll be glad you did. If there's anything I can help out with, I'll be glad to help, I'm not a pro but you couldn't tell that by watching my flying it.
owned one for 2 days now, its awesome. needs a bit of software fixing with connection, but works fine and controls are super responsive, works like a dji should!
For me 2.7k is enough for what I want, 249gr is great, over 25 minutes of flight time and the price is on the spot of what I wanted to spend on a new drone. The decision was a no brainer and I bought the Combo.
Just picked one up and it's actually amazing! Well worth the price for sure. Pictures are amazing and very easy to fly. Recommend the fly more pack forsure and 25 minutes of flight! Could be better designed on the front arms kinda weak when opening be careful mine broke but super glue worked fine. Great and amazing product here!👍🏻

Just got one today 🥰 now i just got to drive away from DC to MD tomorrow. I'm turning 31 tomorrow and very excited to fly my mini than turning 31. This is a good self birthday gift. I know my new channal will benefit from it. The phone stabilizer (OSMO) been fun. Copd that last week from bestbuy too. All in all I love the products.
30/4 / 2020- I bought a mavic mini drone 1 /5/2020 at 6pm I tried to fly for the first time. because a friend was watching me, so I acted like a professional pilot in front of friends. as a result of being a professional actor the drone fan didn't turn around because I didn't know how to turn it. Joystick forgot to put it in its proper place. The memory card was not Insert because I was nervous.. I told my friend the drone was damaged to protect my dignity. 6.20pm I came home and watched this tutorial video again. at 6.30pm I tried to fly in front of all my friends this time it worked. and I continue to be arrogant in front of friends hahahaha thank you Dji for the tutorial video. Conclusion: Learn before flying and don't panic. 😅

I'm wondering how safe RTH is considering that there are no object detection sensors? Does it remember the exact path it took to get where it is and simply reverse it's steps? Or does it make a beeline straight back home?

It would be neat to have that built in, yes. But at least when it comes to panoramas, you can make those with other tools using your drone's photos. I upload all my photos to Google Photos, and it automatically creates panoramas for me if I take at least four photos "next to" each other.

If you're after a small drone that does not need to be registered with the authorities, has 2.7K 3-axis gimbal camera, and 30 min flight time, then get the Mini. If you want more features, not worried about the weight or concerned about registering the drone and can afford to pay more, then get the Mavic Air

A "follow me" function is not available. Only the quickshot functions can follow an object a little bit. But not like you would expect it from a follow me function.

@@DJITutorials the biggest complaint i have heard is no Active Track. If you are to add Active track to the firmware, I guarantee your sales will double if not TRIPLE! You really need to add some form of Active track before Christmas and watch your sales sky rocket!
Quite excited about this drone. I might get it as a replacement for my Phantom 3 SE. The only thing that worries me with DJI is the service. When I bought my 3 SE it had a faulty camera. This only became clear after sending it back to the retailer, but this was after a few months of me owning the drone. All the while I was thinking I didn’t set it up right. I wasn’t able to film or take pictures and it was constantly losing signal. The camera was replaced under warranty, free of charge. But I wish the story ended there. When I got my drone back from DJI, I noticed they had put the drone back in the wrong position. It was put in the original packaging the wrong way round. Consequently, it was resting ON THE CAMERA, with the camera unit pointing down. When starting up the drone, I noticed the gimbal made a scraping sound. Before sending it in for repair I never heard such a nasty sound coming from the gimbal. I contacted the retailer again (they were the ones that handled the repair by DJI) but when I informed them about the sound the gimbal now made, they told me it was “within limits”. I was very disappointed they dismissed this issue so easily, and I couldn’t believe DJI had sent the drone back to me the way they did. Although the gimbal seems te be working properly, it still makes this awful sound. In my opinion they should’ve admitted fault and replaced the gimbal again.

When I got my drone back from DJI, I noticed they had put the drone back in the wrong position. It was put in the original packaging the wrong way round. Consequently, it was resting ON THE CAMERA, with the camera unit pointing down. When starting up the drone, I noticed the gimbal made a scraping sound. Before sending it in for repair I never heard such a nasty sound coming from the gimbal. I contacted the retailer again (they were the ones that handled the repair by DJI) but when I informed them about the sound the gimbal now made, they told me it was “within limits”. I was very disappointed they dismissed this issue so easily, and I couldn’t believe DJI had sent the drone back to me the way they did. Although the gimbal seems te be working properly, it still makes this awful sound. In my opinion they should’ve admitted fault and replaced the gimbal again.

Not true, you still have to obey all FAA restrictions. The only difference is you don’t have to register the device since it’s under 250 grams.

Do you need to put the cellphone in airplane mode before flying?
I don't think we need to turn airplane mode on cellphone.
It's not necessary but it could help you prevent any interference in the connection between the controller and drone :)
