when my moms dad died, after the funeral, we drove to my moms home town where she grew up and just looked at everything and played this song on repeat. i was pretty young so i probably didn’t really understand heavy stuff like that, but i think she realized that there are things you need to eventually let go and move on! this song gives me happy nostalgia

Funk Yeah! I saw them at the Catalyst, and even Palookaville back in the day. Those were the days. I even saw Zion I at UCSC one time when I was out on random ass bike ride stoned with the homies in the woods. We crept out the woods cause we heard some dope beats in the distance and found them playing a live show to close out a conference that was happening up there. We just walked up from the cuts and just vibed to the whole thing, stoked to catch a free Zion I show after an epic day mt biking. We even had beers to sneak in the parking lot. Good times.... RIP ZUMBI. You are gone but never forgotten and your music has been part of the sound track to my life for decades. Big up all the real hip hop heads.
Met zumbi on my birthday. He opened up for snoop Dogg. Got the tickets for a 3 dollar beer from a couple, wife had breast cancer and couldn't attend because of exhaustion. gave me a signed T-shirt, and got a picture. Was so stoked for the performance I didn't even stay for snoop
