Your analysis is actually really insightful and for the most part I had gleaned what you're talking about but you brought up the janitor at the end and that piqued my interest. As well as the idea of who has to deal with the aftermath of their pointless conflict, I think that janitor at the end also just symbolizes how pointless the conflict was in the first place. Like at the the end of the day, there's always gonna be someone who passes by and sees everything that happened from an outsiders perspective. I think, for me at least, that's the most powerful part of the whole thing is just seeing how embarrassing it feels to realize that this is all mostly pointless and when it all comes down to it, its just another office that needs to be cleaned. For some reason, coming out of situations where I've been so angry at something that I just didn't know what to do, I look back and feel kind of embarrassed because it was just all so pointless. Just to add, I'm not disagreeing with you whatsoever, I totally think you're right and I'm just trying to add to what you're saying. Cheers man
I like the cleaning lady, when she looks at guy holding the flag, ultimately the most epic part in the whole video; sorta kinda. I love how pharsed your comment. Not full of wordiness ; )
Yeah I thought this song sampled something else and thought, "Hey Cadillac, did you forget that RTJ was on the song you're using, and that you're a massive company?" Seriously some hilarious tone-deafness
RTJ actually sampled that from the song "Ol' Man River" by Caterina Valente. It was a pretty cool sound for a song that was originally released in 1968.
Still impressed by those two guys lip syncing in this video. Top notch. Looks like they really felt the words and rap themselves. I've seen some other artists videos where the actual singer didn't look they were were singing their own words.
And perfect to have old white dudes doing it ... makes it more funny. Though you could almost have passed this off as a never-seen GOP debate from 2016.
This video makes me smile unlike any video can I so want this to play during the pick for the supreme court and I want the Democrats and Republicans to throw down just like the video last man standing wins .
Fun fact: A good director makes the artist actually sing the song while recording (and obviously use the album version over the video rendition), so the viewer can see all the facial/throat muscle movement. Makes it waaay more realistic.
And a wingman that will jump off the top rope to take down the crowd. That scruffy dude going beast over the desk is the guy I want on my negotiating team.
Actually, we (Turkey) as a country can only solve our problems with our fists and swords, since swords have been out dated for a couple of centuries now we use our trusty fists and when we don't we wish we did. Words come second. It's like an ancestral tradition. So the all parliament and business-suit thing is just there to look more civilised. A lot of historians say that Turkey lost many great things on the table not on the battlefield.
I've always believed that a half of the members of the Victor Yanukoviche's party was there just to beat the crap out of everybody in the parliament. They didn't look like politicians, they looked like bouncers.
Imagine international conflict being solved like this. Our loud mouth politicians, punching it out with each other, instead of making us live in fear of global conflict and sending our anonymous youth into early graves.
Would be great, huh? But we have a long, proud history of sending poor men to fight in rich men's wars, leaving the women, children and elderly behind to keep the world running and pick up the broken pieces when it's done, fighting to live with what's left until the next one comes. Maybe one day, if we can find a new power structure, something that works for everyone, we can all live in peace and reach our true potential.
@Zhanger I'll take Iron Mike for President. Can't be any worse. Can't send him to no world conference but you know he can't do too much worse than our former

This fits so well, if you manage to read the slightly blurred names, the red ties country plate says; ‘United States’ The blue tie; ‘United Kingdom’ I don’t know how to feel about this but it’s hilarious.

Cheers man
TheYourfaceable That’s a great point. We can all remember having a realisation like that in our lives and I couldn’t agree with you more my friend! :)

Yep I've seen
DJ Shadow and RTJ need to do a whole album together, there needs to be a kickstarter campaign to make this happen.
TheSplint3r start it! I'll contribute.

Anybody know how I can get the out take gag reel cause that would make laugh til milk came out my nose and I didn't even drink any milk lol
This video makes me smile unlike any video can I so want this to play during the pick for the supreme court and I want the Democrats and Republicans to throw down just like the video last man standing wins .
The ambassador of the divided States of America Watch debates from Singapore, or Mexico, or like... Any other country.
Fun fact: A good director makes the artist actually sing the song while recording (and obviously use the album version over the video rendition), so the viewer can see all the facial/throat muscle movement. Makes it waaay more realistic.

Didn't this actually happen in several countries? I seem to recall Turkey as well as Ukraine having parliament brawls. Though without the soundtrack.
This video is actually filmed in Kiev's old Lenin Museum with lots of Ukrainian actors!
Julia Barton Wow. That's hilarious if true.

Our loud mouth politicians, punching it out with each other, instead of making us live in fear of global conflict and sending our anonymous youth into early graves.
its already like this just in a diferent manner of things.
A declaration of war should be a kind of popular festival with entrance-tickets and bands, like a bull-fight. Then in the arena the ministers and generals of the two countries, dressed in bathing-drawers and armed with clubs, can have it out among themselves.

Over three years later... I still laugh every time I watch this.
The "reaction shots" throughout lend to a lot to the brilliant absurdity - especially El-P's and Killer Mike's. Genius.

Ross Perot
Sadly he was wrong, politics has rules albeit rules that only benefit the super rich.
