I know some ppl are down on these figures bc of their size. The thing is, in everything TMNT the turtles are different sizes. This is the only franchise, where different size figures, do scale with each other. In the original sketches, the turtles are 3ft tall.
@krazykuz13cmc that's for two reasons. One the molds, including the effect pieces, are expensive to make. Two this is a small company. As a result, figures cost more. Idk the ins and outs of why that is. I'm sure you can find out from someone who knows more. Or I guess, you can Google it, if you want to know why?.
I love the style of your reviews, the fact that you make small jokes and mess up what you’re saying makes it feel so comforting as if I’m just listening to a friend talk about a figure he got in the mail or something, wish I had gotten into this channel sooner.

Wow! These are really impressive for their size! Super nice details! I'll have to consider whether or not to pick these up. Thank you for sharing and no I didn't know about this previously.
Great review as always. I've seen the boxes for these guys in the background of your vids and I'm glad you got around to reviewing them. For the price of one Mafex figure I can get all 4 turtles. Not a bad deal.
I have looked up a lot of joytoy products do you think we could see a sewer lair or vehicles from them? since they have made terrain and vehicles for other property's like warhammer?
Can confirm, Donatello is the best turtle. I've got a set of Bst Axn turtles (the comic versions) but these are pretty tempting because I've loved every Warhammer Joy Toy I've picked up.
@@jarosbodytko6462 They've got decent poseability, a good range of accessories and I think the only thing that really lets them down is the basic paint apps. There's no wash to really bring out the good sculpted texture.
Love these little guys. I don’t really dive into the 3 3/4” scale too much at all, but these were tempting and I’m glad I bought them. They really do look great and aside from the constantly wind-swept bandanas, they’re really versatile. Very cool figures, great video!
That turtle design gives me so much nostalgia they look like TMNT Next Mutation toy colection and I loved that line, I still have my 'Shoot The Curl Don' figure, cuz yeah, Donatello is the best turtle
“Smallest TMNT ever”? Mega Construx TMNT figures are significantly smaller and still decently articulated for their tiny size. If we want to be literal though I’m pretty sure the actual smallest articulated TMNT figures are the retro “mini turtles” that were the same size as things like Polly Pocket and Might Max. (Not sure if that’s the actual name, but that’s what me and my cousins always referred to them as growing up, haha.)
I really like Joytoy products they know what they're doing with the modern 4 inch line. The sculpt on these look great, and if we are lucky, maybe we'll get more in the line soon. As always, another great review!
I had a set of tmnt with static bandanas that were blowing in the wind but they were blowing in different directions so i couldn't have them lined up lol
Not bothered by the size given how beautifully detailed and accessorized these Turtles are. Prices are a bit steep, particularly if you plan to collect them all (and why wouldn't you?!). I'd also be curious to know if JoyToy plans to add more characters to the line in the future or if this initial offering is a wrap. So many beloved characters to choose from.
@@semicharmedlife311 they already have several foot soldier options, bebop & rocksteady, shredder, April, and splinter up for preorder. Import prices are a bummer
I have some of JoyToy's 1/18th scale mechs and military line figures and they're phenomenal. They really do crush 1/18th & 1/25th scale figures. Hiya Toys isn't far behind though and they just started a GI Joe line at 1/18th scale
@NostalgiaUnboxed the 1/18th figures are *just* about the same size as the original Joes from the 1980s. For JoyToy (and if you're a fan of mecha) their 1/25th scale line is more economically priced than their larger 1/18th line but both are absolutely gorgeous with their detailing.
Spinning weapons, mask flowing in the wind.... these are the 2000 turtles reborn. lol Rahs pizza is different so you can do the 80's intro scene with the sai.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed All good man thanks for all the great reviews. Joy toy makes vehicles for warhammer figures maybe a turtle van in the future??? That April looks amazing her being a boxer is great too it gives her, her own fighting style.
I am slightly confused about why they all 4 come with a skateboard. If I remember correctly, it technically only ever shows Donnie skating in the The Secret of the Ooze. More near the beginning. “Pizza guys got 5 minutes.” or whatever was said in the scene lol.
They look great! However, that front cross-chest strap is kinda weird coz it goes around the back under the shell. How is that possible when they can't remove their shells?
Joytoy does some cool stuff. Not used to this channel covering 1/18th scale. I have a few of Joytoys Battle for the Stars figures (Original property somewhat Titanfall inspired) But the quality of these turtles are really impressive. Toy Alliances Annex 2179 and Acid rain lines are also worth looking into for impressive articulation and paintwork.
The only thing I don’t like which I didn’t notice until this video is the belts around the chest not going over the back shell. It doesn’t make any sense and is a big enough issue for me to not get these guys, even though they are fantastic in every other way. I mean, turtle shells aren’t backpacks or something, why would the belt disappear under the shell? Everything else though is absolutely top-notch, and honestly the small scale is a big plus for me. Even though I mostly collect 6-7 inch figures, there’s something about 3 and 3/4 figures that I find tremendously charming.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed yeah, I know, it shouldn’t bother me as much as it does, I guess it’s just because everything else is just so damn perfect that it boggles my mind that they made that decision.
