It wouldn't have been a real Vietnam movie without the Wilhelm scream. Loved it!
Ha
Is that what that generic scream is called? I hear it in every movie ever made it seems.
Can we all just take a minute here to appreciate what went in to making this. Great film making.
Thanks man.
Great stuff Brent. Appreciate the time and effort put in. That had to be a lot of fun. Thanks bud.
Appreciate it brother.
The Philippine Army Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) still uses this kind of camo. It works perfectly in the jungle and mountainous terrain of our country.
America LOVES THE PHILIPPINES !!! We are grateful for all that you did in World War Two. John 3:16
Outstanding ! I love these shorts. The pink mist is first rate and the production is better than most real movies. Thanks.
Thanks
My frend who was a LRRP for the airborn in nam . Told me you move like a insect . He reconed hamber hill b4 it became hamberger hill . The man wore 3 sets of necklaces . Some of the stories he told me still resonate in my mind today . Rip J. Jepson
M14 and tiger stripe wrecking it in this flick! These are badass bro! 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
Appreciate it brother, felt good to bring out that old power house girl and put some rounds down range!
Tiger Stripes and an m14- absolutely dressed to kill! Great little movie, Brent. I'd love to see you and the guys do short films in other eras- maybe 80s Soviet paratroopers fighting us troops or even civilian guerillas like in red dawn, or perhaps a Korean War video.

@@Brent0331 I wasn't a big fan of the film *THE THIN RED LINE* but I did like the movement through the grass. Same thing happens in Saving Private Ryan when the half-track gets bazooked by Ryan in the field of flowers. If you're moving through a forest in NC, I wonder what it would be like to fight through a cornfield. The Ukrainians are taking to the treelines to avoid getting spotted by drones in small squads. It might be a defensive reason to leave overgrown fields intact. Spraying defoliants or using firebombs require air power. For the expense, manpads in overgrown fields are more effective than fighter/bombers and helicopters.
I'm beginning to think an overgrown cornfield or similar tall grass could act almost like an AA moat.

1 US Marine taking out 20 plus of the enemy.........Historically Accurate......Loved it, keep up the good work
Fantastic! Loved every minute of it!
Appreciate it brother.
GET SOME OORAH!!!! way to go Brent. This was awesome👊
KILL!
Regardless of how you feel about the Vietnam War. I want all of you to know..WE WERE SOLDIERS. We fought hard. Charlie was embedded deeper than a french tick. We would have won that war had it not been for politicians. I am proud of my service there regardless. As an 18 yr old kid in 1969, and 6 months of training, there I was. it still remains with me to this day. As I think of all the guys who never made it back alive. They were all good men. And a few women too.
We all gave it our best....Semper Fi to all who have served, are serving and will serve!
semper fi to all who served.regardless of what branch of military.all gave some, some gave all.
I think the Army should have stuck with the M14 since it was better mud gun than the M16. Nice to see Brent remembers the old tried and true M14. (Seeing all the Asians mad and chasing Brent reminds me of engineering grad school in the US where I was the only Caucasian.)
Disagree, the M16A1 was much better as the furniture didn't swell up and mess up the rifle. Plus a guy can carry more 5.56 than 7.62 so they can fight longer.
Inrangetv's video busted this myth
What lol
should've gone with the FN FAL instead of the M16*
@@Big-boi92 I would personally argue that they made the right call going with the M16 compared to any 7.62 battle rifle
This looks awesome, cant wait to see it
Out bloody standing mate. Enjoyed that many thanks.
Thanks brother.
Hellyeah brother!!! Love these short films you do, good stuff!
I appreciate the careful application of the Wilhelm scream.
Indeed.
lol
LOVE IT!
My favorite part 6:25 the rifle just flies out of his hands. I don't know why I'm laughing but I am.
(One small thing: The music is a bit too dramatic. No music at all would be a lot more immersive and tense)
I thought he was going to spear himself with the muzzle!
@@andy_in_nh9243 Good thing he didn't have a bayonet
@@yourlocaldoomer True!
@@andy_in_nh9243 Just checked your channel. Pretty good stuff you got!
yeah music was irritating
Better then Hollywood, good job everyone👊
Thanks
Nice editing work. Keep these coming please.
Thanks
Great job Brent
Thanks
Bravo Zulu to all who took part to make and publish this short movie!
Thanks
God I want an m14 so hard. This video did not help that desire go away. Awesome kit and great video
Great video Brent! Don't know how you get all the props. Love your channel.
Appreciate it, I collect military gear from throughout the years as well as demil weapons.
@@Brent0331 one day you will need to open up a museum. Very cool history.
FINALLY MORE VIETNAM CONTENT YES BRENT!
Ha, I know, we kind of screwed the pooch and missed the early spring which is the best time to film it.
@@Brent0331 I did notice some recycled footage too which tbh is understandable in the event of making these short films anyway as the previously recorded clips in certain parts do fit the bill quite nicely anyway thus saving time and a lot of other issues. I like the touch of the real footage thrown in there with the pilot too that's always welcoming additions. Season wise I can see how that could definitely effect things but I am thankful regardless to see another Vietnam video even in the summer!
GREAT VID, NICE TO SEE THE M14 IN ACTION! ALL THE BEST
Hell yeah! My man getting wild with that 1911! 10/10
Duuuuuuuuuuude this is probably the best scenarized video you've made yet ! This is exactly why i'm subscribed for, going over the gear in previous videos and all is pretty amazing but putting it in "actual" use is a whole other level ! We can still see the amature nature of the footage but you're getting better at and my only wish for you would be for you to have a hollywood movie like budget and production so we could have the most accurrate and interesting war movies, cheers 😉
Thanks
I love this guy. He puts in the work for these vids! Excellent work man. Keep it up!
can yall do a navy seals in vietnam uniform video?
Very cool Short Film! I love the Tiger Stripes Camo and the jackhammer M14. It would be interesting if you could load up another Version with a filter, so that it looks like real footage from the time. Just a thought though.
Keep it up!
Thanks
So no one else volunteered to come along ????? What did they know that you didnt. Great vid Brent 😎😎😎
I love the rifle toss after hits in these videos! You can tell they try to give the rifle some distance and air to not get smacked by it.
This was awesome. I got a question about the M 14 they complained about the wooden stocks, swelling and causing problems but I never hear about the M1 Garand stocks swelling in Southeast Asia during World War II. So why did the M 14 stock swell when the M1 Garand stocks didn’t?
M1's did have this problem as well however it was seen as something the military was willing to live with since it was just one theatre of the war however jungle warfare wasn't as common in the pasific theatre as it was in Vietnam. By the time the M1 Garand was mass issued to Marines most of the jungle warfare was finished and Marines were conducting amphibious landings on the islands of Saipan, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa where the humidity wasn't nearly as high as places like Guadalcanal and the Philippines.
Excellent, hands down, excellent....
Thanks Brent.
You do such a great job with these recreation videos.
Appreciate it.
There was a computer game from military simulation masters MicroProse released in 1987 called Airborne Ranger. It had the angled overhead perspective of a classic arcade run-and-gun but this was a company that took realism more seriously. With varied equipment and a stealth/cover system that was often necessary for success it offered a dozen lone wolf missions with a vibe much like this video. Its mechanics were about a decade ahead of time and it was highly respectful to how real-world operations are conducted, including part of the manual dedicated to Ranger history.
I remember that game. Loved it to death.
Interesting, thanks for sharing.
"Snake? Can you hear me? Come in Snake! Snake? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!"
😂
Nice RT-10 survival radio! U really go all out!😁👍👍
Thanks
Nam is my favorite era next to ww2. Any info is wonderful to hear and absorb. I live in a jungle environment. So close to home stuff 😊
That was awesome!
When I tell you I was glued to the screen like I was watching John Wayne in Green Berets or Platoon, even First Blood. This was great. Do more especially MACVSOG these are the things man movies are made of. If you're ever in need of an African American Soldier give me a shout.
Outstanding AF!
Hell yeah, i really enjoy this videos. Also give you props to all the effort put in topped off with a low budget to work with.
M 14 was just a automatic m1garand great weapon.m16 was nice man killer the foward assist help with jams but I gualify with m14 then but got a m16 I was with 1/9 operating in the guang tri area. Patrolling and ambush. The humping was very tough in the jungle.long live the MARINE CORPS
Outstanding sir !! Thanks
Great movie it bring back memories.🥃🤙
Everyone loves to watch Tigerstripes in action. Never enough.

Bent and Bruce I could watch your stuff all day over anything Disney or Hollywood put out 👍🏻🇦🇺

It was shot with Digital Video, not filmed. It's a SHORT not a "short film." :-) Film, filming, and filmmaking are the most misused words in the industry. 🙂 Digital Video and film require different skill sets. Having DIFFERENT historical and TECHNOLOGICAL timelines spanning 150 years. Have pride and knowledge of the gear we use including the words that describe what we do. Our tools are Digital Video, Non-linear, and CGI. We are moviemakers, not filmmakers. We do what film wished it could. We are Videographers and/or cinematographers. 🙂 We video or are videoing, we do not film. That's the other RARE professionals who know how to use film and film cameras, like an ARRIFLEX 435 Panavision R-200 and Steenbeck flatbed film editors. Know the difference and have a better understanding of the craft. You will also stand out in an industry polluted with point-and-shoot "pros". Respect to you.✌♥
Your getting better at these short Films.
they dnt make good vietnam Era films anymore!!..This is definitely pleasing
Thanks and agreed! Idk why.
Awesome Brent
When the enemy AI keeps respawning
Long live the jungle tiger stripe pattern. God tier amongst us camo nerds.
Who wasent getting watery eyed watching this! 1 force recon marine smoking 20 zips good stuff!

Awesome stuff as always Brent.

While serving in Nicaragua and El Salvador I used the M-14 it was a total work horse
This was awesome!
Great video. Hell ya. God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.
" anyone who runs is a VC, anyone who stands still is a well disciplined VC!" GET SOME! 😂
This is awesome! Great filming!
Props for the effort it’s had to have took cleanin rifles..gear..and I’ve loved the Huey comin in since day 1…Brent…
Better than Hollywood.
Hey Brent really enjoyed your short film. Good Job!! Hope there are more to come. You should get Doc to dress up as a SS officer in one of your future films. lol Can't wait for the next live stream...Take care..
I would if he didn't live on the other end of the country.
Academy Award winning performances
Ah Damn I thought he was grabbing for a can of Copenhagen 😂🤣😂🤣 in the Beginning. Great Video 💪🏼
That tiger camo is stealth and intimidating .
thanks
Well done Brent and guys. Can’t wait for more!
Well done sir, most entertaining and informative.
Thanks
getting better and better!!!
Thanks
Excellent! 👍
loved this 10/10 for effort
Thanks
Yas I am your 1000th like ❤! Love your vids man!! 🪖
Wow beautifully shot what a piece of art
that looked incredibly fun to film
Great short film. I agree with what others have said, a red dawn scenario and Doc as a crazed nazi officer/scientist would both be great. Keep up the good work and keep having fun.
Ha, thanks!
Awesome as always Brent, the Vietcong deaths keep getting more convincing 😆
Gunny you got some pretty decent filming skills! HOOYAH
Appreciate it brother, FYI I haven't been a GySgt since 2018
Short but great movie
This dude is like fuckin Rambo in this battle!🤣🤣🤣 knocking off NVA like there were beer cans on a wall!... Hoorah!
Absolutely love it
Thanks
Nice work. Gotta love the 308 ,45 combo.😊
Love it! 🤘😎
This is way better to watch than movies today. Great work!
A very respectful reproduction of a very serious time in our history. I would be confident having a x51/.308 in the bush.
Really great!😀
Too long this movie is! 😀
Looks like my back yard, once the weather gets cooler, I will turn to and cut back the jungle.
thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a good contrast to the last recon video you made. That one had no action and showed recon for what it is, get in and out without causing a situation. May be boring for some, but also realistic. This one showed the operator attempting same thing, but an unfortunate occurrence of an enemy being away from the group and having to engage.
I was First Force Recon 68-69 at An Hoa. Very realistic. I know from experience. Semper Fi
Great video

Awesome!
Great work!
