It certainly does, however prior to XBC 2 it didnt bring in the sales numbers. Now they are rising tho. I mean IIRC XBC DE did sell double the amount of the Wii release. So yea, hope it will have a higher priority, but I also hope we dont get too many spin off/joke games, cause I love Xenoblade mostly for the story.
I think they're definitely pushing it to be the flagship Nintendo JRPG honestly, Nintendo doesn't really do games like this and considering there are only 3 full games in the series and that the remaster is already considered worthy of a 'one last thing' in their eyes is quite telling. On top of that it's kinda really ambitious for an RPG series, I thought it would go the Final Fantasy route of having the numbered games not have any relation to each other with a few exceptions, but then I played Chapter 10 of XC2

Anyone else feel a sense of heightened emotions after finishing either Xenoblade 2 or Definitive Edition when the MonolithSoft credit animation plays over the dreamy landscape? It's this collective feeling of finishing the story of the game, discovering the emotional outcome of the narrative which makes me wonder what lies beyond the celestial horizon while yearning fond memories of the past. I don't know how to explain this feeling, it's near impossible to fathom the nostalgic sensation in which MonolithSoft delivers through that one animation. The fact the animation is silent as well, is what heightens those thoughts and emotions further. Does anyone else understand what I mean. Fuuaarrk...
@@uppernimbus funny enough Xenoblade 1 never made me cry although it did give me lots of emotions, but the ending gave me happiness. Xenoblade 2 on the other hand made me cry about 2 times. Both deserve to be recognized for being amazing games.
I just want a Xenoblade game that takes place between the discovery of the Conduit and the experiment. Let us meet Klaus while he's still young, see what the Saviorite rebellion was like and directly pilot the Artifices, please Monolith
I thought that a Xenoblade 0 type of game would be cool for the franchise with a story that puts the player in the shoes of the savourite rebels, telling their story
@@elijahkaze6106 Me To But the only thing I want is to be in the shoes of Klaus As the main character Because I think It would be cool What do you think
Ok hear me out, an older Teelan is the next protagonist. I could either see him teaming up with a mix of aged up Xenoblade 1 characters and new characters, or teaming up with the kids of xenoblade 1 characters, or even the cast of other games. I think he makes perfect sense to be the next protagonist because we’re already invested in his story, he knows the original cast so he’d be a good way to keep them involved, and I see a lot of potential for a story revolving around him. Imagine if Teelan was attempting to transform a telethia and and stumbled into a rift/portal thing and ended meeting characters from 2 or X. Side note imagine if he found a way for telethia to turn back and you got a party member who could transform into a telethia at will so basically you control a telethia party member.
Wooow that's cool imagine exploring the world with teelan and collecting items to craft the cure (they must be super rare) and when he beat a telethia he can cure him and turn him into hight entia they will walk with u like the ponspecters
Hey, just saying but in Xenoblade Chronicles, and Definitive Edition. The ending it had in that big bang, did you notice the other universes. Like their was like 4 of them and a few smaller ones.
I would honestly rather Xenoblade 1 be allowed to have a definitive ending. I love it to bits, and I'm sure there's a way they could make it work. But I'd be sad to see this game be artificially extended a dozen times just to sell new games.
yeah, I would be cool with a game set in Shulk's new world, but I'd want it to be set thousands of years later, with all of the party long gone. Just legends of ancient lore.
So here's my current head canon. Earth/Alrest is Saga's Lost Jerusalem, which is why KOS-MOS Re: ended up there, repurposed into a Blade along with T-elos Re:. The Conduit was not THE Zohar, but a Zohar emulator, which prevents contradictions with the true Zohar's location in Saga. If the connections to Saga do turn out to be this strong, the Fog King may well be a real Gnosis, and we could even see KOS-MOS and T-elos playable in the next entry.
Maybe Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2's worlds became one as a result of both of them being recreated at the end of the games. It would also tie in with what Shulk said about meeting people from new lands.
I heard people saying that Nene was a not so good tank bc she is a nopon... but once i saw her protecting Melia from the Fog king’s laser i was like”think again boi”
You can get one really cheap. Knowing Monolith is working on a new game and that DE just released, we probably won't get a port or remake on Switch. It's too bad, because it's my favourite...
@@biozelink6086 you're probably right it wont come. Theres hope though, they want the switch to last 10 years so if they pop out their new game soon-ish (next few years) they could do a xeno x HD before the end of the console life.
I just want X on Switch because then I might have time to actually really get more quests done without having to strictly sit down and grind them. X is so massive it would be amazing on Switch
The protagonist is gonna be new character almost certainly. It makes sense, cause if they choose Shulk or Rex (in the case they are in the same world now), they're gonna alianate some people and that's not good for marketing. Also, it gives them more freedom to write and design battle styles and all that.
A game set into the real world before claus fuck up everything you mean? No thank you lol but they coud use these event more in future games " assassin creed style " weare from time to time betwen chapter you see the past with claus
Just finished up Age of Calamity, and it left me so hungry for parallel timeline anime bullshit that I now have to binge Xenoblade lore speculation until my brain explodes
I just want an X port with a reworked system to buy the parts for the 90. DE was fun to play but it makes me want to play X2 and X. Future connected was neat but left a much bigger void then it could've filled.
@@biozelink6086 sounds like a XenoSAGA port worked on by Bamco, with updated gameplay mechanics to fit into the Xenoblade series would be much more appropriate.
Actually Luxin, it could still possibly be the same universe as Saga/X if we consider X is actually far down the line timewise. Spoilers: As Luxaar and Lao mention, the samaarians created all the alien lifeforms, and thats why they have a failsafe to never be able to go against the descendants of Samaar, Humans. So the humans who colonised all the planets and universe may have made the alien races to serve as specialized workforces/Slaves, but perhaps people in these colonies died out naturally, and so the alien lifeforms thrived in these areas, and Humans only continued to live in New Jerusalem/New Earth. Starting the cycle again like usual. So time passes and eventually the humans are found again by the galactic federation who don't want the descendants of Samaar to enslave them again. and in this effort, much like the Wonderful 101 Geathjerk federation, they conquered the races that would originally have been earth colonies and such and went towards the Humans again in a self fulfiffing prophecy of sorts, sealing their own fates. We'd have to see what an XX2 does with the Ghost and the overall Galactic federation but it could be possible, The Xeno games have no problem with putting huge time frames between significant events and the focus of the stories. We need to learn more about Samaarians and Planet Mira. I also contemplated with a friend that in X2 X (cross) may end up being a manifestation of planet Mira itself and end up having to deal with this somehow. (Maybe we fight the planet lol) down the line due to conflicting goals between the planet itself and the consciousness X has developed as the player character through interactions with the humans and other races. Just a stream of thought and such. i don't expect this all to happen but who knows. Then Deus shows up and dies like a punk. Please Square just give Xenogears to monolith/nintendo. Make a remake for switch idk. Please.
the more i think about it, i realize that the core crystal for the aegis' are the shape of the zohar as well rather than the conduit so that may also be a reason why the shapes get conflated a lot.
@@DragonEdge10 So what you're saying is that Takahashi and Monolith, that are famous for connecting their games and leaving small hints deliberately showed Galeas tag and the Guldo tag, that has the exact same face as her and it means nothing? Ok then, sure. And then they used the same model of the monster with the tag in the new game in which there's a specific portal to a different dimension, world? Sure it sounds like nothing. Takahashi doesn't like explaining stuff. He has said so in interviews. We never get conformations about anything from monolith. A few weeks ago people insisted there is no multiverse, and there obviously is.
@@biozelink6086 it could be them just reusing assets. Also we know what happened to Galea she (spoilers for XC1) became Meyneth. Also she was on the first low orbit station when she was warped so wouldn’t the inferno Guldo be located there.
So either Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or Xenoblade Chronicles X2, likely going to be released at the end of the Switch's lifecycle. We are likely to find out who the Fog King is in the next game, but one thing is guaranteed, there will be tons of Memes.
Personally, this is what I want to see most in the next entry of the Xeno series: 1. What happened to Alvis and the True Monado? 2. Is the Earth that was reborn at the end of Xenoblade 1, at the end of Xenoblade 2, the one that was destroyed in X... are they all one in the same and have sort of fused/returned? Was Elma’s Earth not destroyed, but instead warped into other realities, but now it has returned? I’m curious.
If the background Zohar is the lifehold, what if Klaus's universe is an artificial one all the sleeping passengers of the white whale are in to keep their minds engaged and focused so they don't fall into mu/sheol or become distorted over time... and in this artificial universe, Klaus creates a pocket universe(Zanza's world) and transforms the artificial world into Alrest. The conduit exists within the artificial universe because U-Do/Mira made contact with the lifehold transforming the it into the Zohar which is why it is continuing to keep the passengers and mims alive. The conduit is basically a sub-zohar within the universe within the zohar. The best thing about all this if true is that Elma can revive Klaus, Shulk and friends and Rex, Nia and friends and team up with the real versions or maybe the artificial version will have a shockingly huge impact on the real universe.
No definitely not. He said "We're crossing THAT rift", which implies that's it just the rift between the cloud sea and the world tree that you fall into at the end of Chapter 7.
I personally think that Monolith has both Xenoblade X2 and Xenoblade 3 in the works, at least in terms of story. X2 is obvious; X's story was set up to be told across multiple games. I have a feeling we might even see a new trilogy of games with the X series. X was about the Ganglion, X2 will be about the Ghosts, and X3 will be about the Samaar Federation (possibly to mirror the three parts of Xenosaga). They COULD combine the Ghosts and Samaar Federation into one game, but I feel like they would want to expand on each of them separately, ending with the Samaar Federation because they're the most important faction of the plot. 3 will most likely be Shulk's world and Rex's world joining together. The portal in FC, the fact that the Fog King is an Infernal Guldo, and Shulk speculating that all the events were because the new world was still young (and how Zanza's and Klaus' deaths seriously affected how the laws of their respective worlds are governed) seemingly hint at even more connections between 1 and 2 down the road. I doubt they would put all of those references in without them meaning anything. I seriously doubt that they're gonna try to connect X to 1 and 2 anytime soon. They will probably want to finish off X's main storyline first before doing that. It's super exciting to think about; I just want my X2, dammit!!!
Given one of the 5 Monolith Soft studios is very close to Bandai Namoc, the right holders of Xenosaga, I'm pretty certain that they are working on a remake of Xenosaga + the remaining 3 episodes that were originally planned. Maybe they'll rename the series to an installment in the Xenoblade series. Maybe Xenoblade 4?
I really wish that would happen, but Katsuhiro Harada (the producer of Tekken) has tried asking for a Xenosaga remake, but Bandai Namco didn't think it is worth making in a business stand point.
I’d just like an X port to the switch, as my Wii U gamepad got busted right around when I got the game, so I only played the first 30 minutes of the game, if even. However, I’d LOVE a 1, X, 2 crossover (something larger than the bits in XC2 Challenge mode DLC) be it XC3 or a spin-off title.
What if KOS-MOS landed on earth befor Klaus found the Conduit and this they leaned how to build the world tree and created the Trinity processor. I mean KOS-MOS dose know how the world tree was built during 2 so it could be possible
We would all love for that to be the case, although it's probably not. Namco would have to give up Saga. It's possible to happen in the future, but as of now... But anyway, we can all have and believe our own theories, as long as Monolith hasn't reconfirmed then. Yours does make sense story wise.
My personal crackpot theory is: new protag who is Shulk's apprentice trying to open rifts with some kind of monado (assuming the rifts are ether based which they seem to be), and those rifts allow new protag (maybe returning people) to go to the diff xenoblade worlds. All 3 xenoblade worlds are having troubles with rifts and what is in them, some evil thing is trying to do destroy or rule all 3 universes. The main issue I see with this, from the standpoint of it actually being a game, is somehow merging the Xenoblade 1/X combat system with 2's (specifically Torna's since they could just give returning non 2 party members blades). There could be mechs that are a modified design of the faces (ie a mech that looks like a face but doesn't have the whole organ thing).
That 10th Anniversery picture made a pretty sick wallpaper. I'm glad I got to experience this game with remade models and just more amazing lighting effects after playing the original many times before (Wii and 3ds versions) Here's some food for thought, imagine the original cast was just hanging out at new Colony 9 and then they see the titans from 2 smashing against the giant land mass at the end of the game. Uraya just crashes straight into the anti air batteries from the colony and Vangarre is just standing there thinking "What the hell are you?!"
Hear me out on this: the rift leads to Mira in one form or another as it would explain the Telethia you see in X. This is further supported by the Telethia supporting what it probably perceived as a band of Homs, as its behaviour closely mirrors that of telethia seen in FC. If we really wanted to stretch it the same way we stretched Alvis's core crystal color using the color wheel, we could say the three universes are also Orange, Purple, and Green - Shulk's universe, Mira, and Alrest. This would be supported by the link being purple fog flowing out of the portal which glows orange, and when Alvis/Ontos is torn out of Shulk's dimension causes him to glow green implying he's following the Conduit which is in Alrest at the time. The anniversary artwork even further supports it by positioning the poster protagonists of each xenoblade game in the same triangular positions as the Trinity Processor. And the biggest selling point for the color theory? The ending cutscene in Xenoblade 2 shows Aion displaying Malos's core at the top and Pneuma's core at the right as active, which positionally is the same as the colors I mentioned for X and 1. Each core crystal of the Trinity Processor basically represents the three dimensions in the Xenoseries. So now what i'm left to ask is what if the fog has something to do with the Ghost faction?
The biggest problem with creating a sequel to XCX, is that they'd have to remake XCX for Switch, or run XCX2 following someone else, and retell the entire story of XCX in some fashion... because most Switch players haven't played XCX before.
I would love to see Monolith take a Xenoblade approach for a Monolith Soft game. There's huge potential there, especially in regards to themes of humanity, sapience vs sentience and the importance of solidarity
I know I'm probably in the minority, but I don't really care about the games continuing a specific narrative. I even actively want old characters to be left behind (aside from cool fanservice stuff like KOS-MOS in 2). All I really want from Xeno is another Gears/Xenoblade 2. Just a standalone game with well defined themes that are concluded nicely by the end. Throw in whatever set pieces and sci-fi you want, but to me the appeal of Xeno isn't some massive overarching multiverse. Part of what keeps me from loving Saga as much as Gears or 2 is that the games aren't really standalone, so playing 1 and 2 just felt like preparation for 3, and considering where they ended up by the time they made 3 they didn't even get to finish it the way they wanted. I think Gears was a good model where the game worked perfectly on its own, but they had plans to expand on the ideas without treading the same ground. The Blade model works well and is the reason I think the series has found new success, so I'd stay stick with it. I'm optimistic though, considering 2 is the most recent new game they've put out and seems to be going in the direction I want, bringing in old Gears stuff without falling into the mistakes I think they made with Saga.
Thank you. I want a new world with a new cast of characters (with only maybe the trinity processors returning, in different forms). I understand fans became attached to the current ones, but asking for a crossover to be the next mainline game is silly and frankly insulting, as if the writers couldn't come up with anything better than some cheap fanservice. Leave the crossovers for spinoffs - a possible XenoWarriors, for example.
I agree with you even though I like the lore and the open to interpretation elements and connections. Still I'm confident they would give us a totally fresh new world/setting/cast for future games again.
@@steshii4557 I don't really think of it as cheap fanservice or laziness on the part of the devs. Really I think most people are really attached to the characters, their personalities, so they want to see more of them doing new things because they're just enjoyable to watch. Personally I care more about the character arcs and the abstract ideas represented by them. That's why I want new characters with new motivations and conclusions, all of the old characters have received satisfying conclusions to their arcs I think, with maybe the exception of Elma (X is the only one I'm fine with a direct sequel to anyway).
I'd be perfectly fine with xenoblade becoming something similar to final fantasy. As a fan of both I cant wait to see xc grow into whatever it may be. Xenoblade 11 mmo tho.
Like you said about “looking at the next Xenoblade protagonist” what if WE are the next Xenoblade protagonist? A chose your own adventure Xenoblade game where we get to choose our dialogue? Not really know how that would be, but I would take it. This is a stretch
Ah I see. Tbh I think a Xenoblade game with multiple endings wouldn't work well. Maybe different decisions throughout the story but they should all lead to the same ending.
The president of Monolith Soft said something interesting not too long ago about the Xenoblade games. He describes Xenoblade as "prototype of the achievement for their goal, that it only has one part of Takahashi’s universe, time and world in it, that could be called part of his life’s work". www.frontlinejp.net/2020/05/28/xenogears-2-didnt-happen-because-of-ff-spirits-within-monolith-soft-president-sugiura/
Man some of your thoughts are reaching. But i will say this: Remember what Future Connected is about. Not just what happens but thematically what it is about.
24:21 It could be Mira. Now, hear me out. We already know that Mira is strange, what with the whole ending and discovering that all of the computer servers containing the memories of everyone that was aboard the white whale and allowing them to continue to exist. Then there's the Professor B side quest chain and the fact that the Ma-Non were yanked out of 'hyperspace' (whatever that exists as in the Xenoverse) implies Mira has a shaky anchoring in space time. Add to that fact the Vita, the 'god' of whatever species that Luxar is part of, is there and the fact that the Ganglion were originally created by the ancestors of humanity who, quote: "At the dawn of the Cosmos the Samaarians arrived from another plane." it's possible that Mira is the original Samaarian homeworld and its dimensional instability allowed it to crossover into different universes, maybe even including the other Xeno universes. Not to mention that Telethia the Endbringer is a thing that exists.
Have anyone notice the similarities between the rift and the eye of sauron! And how the fog king visually matches the description of the balrog as described in LotR!
Aside from a Xenoblade 3 which I think should be a stand alone story, I think Xenoblade Definitive Edition should get an update that allows you to run around the post credits Colony 9.
have you considered the possibility that the Fog King and his rift could be the link to how Telethia end up in the Xenoblade X universe? We clearly see the Telethia attacking the portal in the end of Future Connected but maybe that's when a few of the Telethia slipped through? And could this mean that a wounded Fog King from the battle at Alcamoth could be somewhere on Mira as well?
Ammm why no one mentions alvis /ontos I mean he can be in the next xenoblade game bcz we don't anything about alvis we only saw that he is a blade or a computer he still have many hidden things we don't know
Just a thought. Wouldn't it be cool if the next Xenoblade game occurred in the world Shulk and Rex created but many years into the future where Shulk and Rex are old and so on?
I usually never make comments but I do want to talk about all this potential. Spoiler abound. The eternal recurrence is stopped, so if there is a connection to saga, that’s the biggest threat. The universe no matter what is moving towards destruction. It’s not a stretch to think kosmos falls onto that earth like planet that is the original earth from xenoblade 1 and 2 before Klaus did what he did which explained why she is found as a blade in 2. This new fogged threat that is similar to gnosis connects it all. No matter what the universe is in trouble- it’s going to take all the main characters from all the universes to create a universe that is in balance with the upper and lower domains. The potential is nuts. Thanks for the video !
I want a direct sequel to Xenoblade X that gives bonuses to players that bought the original. Like, if you have a legit Wii U account with a completed X save file, then you can upload your save file from your Wii U to Nintendo servers and get some bonuses, download it to X2 on the Switch and start with gifts similar to 2's DLC, maybe your Xenoblade X2 character will already know and have affinity with some of the characters who will have missions & rewards & learnable moves that tie back to X1's events. Whereas if you're starting X2 without X1 save data, you have to wait until post-game to unlock those extras, and meet the characters and build affinity with them to get those moves, missions, & rewards.
...So The Fog King's Model is in fact the Infernal Guldo... That's a rather specific model to choose- They had to have chosen that one for a reason beyond just reusing assets. There's any number of other models they could have used, but they chose a pretty iconic boss from 2 to reuse. Not only that, but considering the theme that plays when you fight The Fog King and the fact the Infernal Guldo drops Galea's ID Card... They're up to something.
Hard to really say what's coming next. That's said, there is a new game that Monolift is working on, with only some neat-o looking artwork to show for.
Fog king makes fog enemies which are similar to tainted enemies from x and 1 and 2 are in at the very least parallel world's pair that with the fog kings apparent ability to generate some form of dimensional rift and potentially you have a scenario for all of the Xenoblade games to come together into the same universe
I wish it were feasible for Monolith to buy their IP from Bandai Namco and Square-Enix if only because they could play with all of their toys in the same setting. Barring that it would be really fun to just have a big crossover event whether it's canon or not. Hell, throw Cloud in it for funsies because of how weirdly intertwined Xenogears and FF7 are
Do we have a timeline for all the series? I was wondering if all series were taking place on the same planet different times or different planets in the same galaxy?
Ok here we go. Xenoblade only, as saga and gears are pretty seperate as of now Spoilers for whole series 1 and 2 take place at the same time. 1 in a different universe created by Klaus, and 2 on earth, after klaus destroyed the World making it Alrest. They both end at the same time too. X is thought to be in a different universe but we dont know yet. You would know this if you actually played the games.
I haven't finished the video yet, but I wouldn't mind another collateral universe being shown from klaus' experiment, as we know not everything was sent to the xb1verse, or perhaps multiple of these being hopped between
I'm not well versed on any xeno games besides xb 1 and 2 nor am I on Takahashi 6 part story, so maybe this could be some sort of spin off game following Alvis or even just an Easter egg / cameo in the next new xeno game rather than completely new game Edit: forgot to finish my sentence oops
They don’t own the rights to Xenosaga, and at this point, I really don’t think they will. I appreciate that you love the games so much and want them included in the canon, I just don’t see it happening. Honestly, redesigning and renaming it to be the Conduit should’ve been the prime indicator Xenosaga is not returning in earnest. How CAN it unless they get the rights back?
Who else doesn't like that the games are connected and story is affecting eachother? I wish they made the seires like final fantasy and had references and Easter eggs to eachother but not anything seriously plot affecting
I totally disagree. I really like the direction the series appear to be headed, and really hope it will be a connected universe, and not a final fantasy or fire emblem style.
@@ratardobatardo Exactly. Especially as it seems tzey know what they are doing. You gan play each Xenoblade game without having played the others and the game works alone. The others just enhance your enjoyment. As long as it isn't Kingdom Hearts in style, where you have to play every weired installment to get the story, everything is good. The Monolith approach works compared to the KH one.
I just hope the story of whatever is next is up to the standard again, unlike Future Connected... I sadly really didn't like that 'story' since it was very flat and I personally felt like it had more plot holes than actual intriguing cliffhangers... I kinda see that must have happened because of time and budget reasons, but it had me very disappointed and I really hope it's gonna be worth it in the long run since this series means so much to me :/
Given Xenoblade's niche status and potential for growth, Nintendo is more likely to reveal info on XCX2/XC3 than most of their other games. But still, there's a good chance that Nintendo will still hold off until 1-4 months before it releases before revealing it. Nintendo's current strategy (and it's a better one than before) is to stop longterm hyping in favour of focusing on the here and now and the near future - that way, there's a lot less competition on their own platform for their current software. It's working too, Switch software is selling at unprecedented levels.
1-4 months before release to reveal sounds a bit much. They'd want to market those games for a longer period. So I'd say 6-12 months before is more possible. XCDE was announced 8 months before release so I'd expect future titles to not having a smaller gap then that. I predict that the next title would be announced at E3 2021 the earliest. MS has a tendency to release their games during the spring, so spring 2022 for the next title sounds very plausible for me. If they don't make it, then its probably summer or holiday.
@@dinglberry3320 While the chance is there for a very early reveal, I don't think it's inevitably the case. XB:DE had no real chance of taking attention off the lineup schedule since it was the 4th release of the game, that's why it got the early reveal. Animal Crossing's early unveil was largely because of a delay, it was originally supposed to come out in the autumn. But I think Nintendo will market it more like Paper Mario, since it is a game of similar market impact, and announce it in the 1-4 month window (Paper Mario OK was announced 2 months before launch). They may have begun work on XCX2 or XC3 as early as late 2016 given that many of Monolithsoft studio 1's team has Breath of the Wild as their last title; these are a large portion of their Xenoblade Chronicles X team. Production Team 2 was expanded in 2019, and then moved to Zelda, but even if this team was largely the XCX team again, there would still be that 2.5 year period where they weren't doing anything - because they aren't credited on XC2, Torna (which was largely completed during the later phase of XCX's development) or XC:DE.
Umm...about the Fog King... It's model is the Infernal Guldo... Not the Gnosis...so...yeah I think that kinda breaks the Gnosis idea, and infers more complications/links to XBC2 or XBCX rather than Saga.
Did you ever play Xenosaga? Because, yes, that is an Inferno Guldo model but it behaves exactly like the Gnosis do. So basically it is hinting at the idea that Gnosis in Xenoblade Universo look like this compared to their design in Xenosaga.
@@ashketchum6971 Looks like an infernal guldo, uses the same animations as an infernal guldo, comes from a rift that has a relation to the Conduit/Zohar and guldos are heavily related to the Conduit. It's likely a form of Guldo/Infernal Guldo. not to mention the LITERAL FIREY AURA UNDERNEATH THE FOG. *Maybe* it's a form of Gnosis but for Galea, but that's the best connection you can make.
@@Alovon Considering the music that plays when fighting Fog King, a connection to Galea isn't entirely farfetched- Zanza's battle theme is used, and Meyneth was the counterpart to him, meaning it would make sense to give her the same battle theme (or in this case, Galea.) No matter how you look at it, though, they HAD to choose the Infernal Guldo on purpose and for a reason. The Infernal Guldo is a pretty notable boss fight in 2, so they had to know it wouldn't go unnoticed. Heck, I didn't place it as being the Infernal Guldo entirely, but knew it looked familiar with Infernal Guldo being one of my thoughts of the model. I just... Didn't fully realize it until this video.
What I would personally like to see is a game that connects one and two together more but foreshadows connections to x and other xeno tittles. I can't really see them doing the whole KOS-MOS thing unless they port all three xenosaga games to switch, it wouldn't really be fair to xenoblade only fans myself included who know nothing about xenosaga. Either way more xenoblade is more xenoblade so I'll take almost anything, I may just have to watch over 20 hours of cutscenes if it connects to other xeno tittles.
Is there a good way to play the saga games these days? I have disk copies of all three games but either my ps2 suxs or my copies of the games are just trash, I haven't been able to play for like 10 years and want to enjoy erd kiaser and the mad professor again.
Waiiiit, if they just pushed the fog king through the rift then it literally could be the Infernal Guldo from 2. I mean sure you'd need some time-space shenanigans but that's not too far fetched at this point.
must have a X2 or a port with an epilogue to tie X plot holes, it's my only expectation. Buuuuuut I would also like to see that the worlds from 1 and 2 are the same in the end, maybe
I would wish for a new XBC game announcement, however they are working on that other IP and BotW 2, so I doubt we wont hear anything before 2021. To somehow bridge the gap of time, they could do a quick buck by simply porting Xenoblade X. The only thing they have to change is how the map/menu works.
Monolith is seperated into a few teams. There exists a xenoblade specific one, so I doubt we will go very long without a new one. Xenoblade 2 stopped DLC in August 2018, turn around a year and a half later we got xenoblade de. A drought in xenoblade is unlikely. Id say expect a new one every 3-4 years.
If if they going to do a xenoblade chronicle x on the switch They need to do some thing about the avatar or aka rock that you made because we Still don’t know who rock or the avatar past He or she a blank page 🤔😇 they got amnesia that it🤔
Quite possibly a J body. Why would Lin refer to him as "one of the you know who's"? She would say as one of the survivors, not you know who's. Plus the fact she took you in her team no questions asked and the only other member is a mechanic. And guess who trained the other J body, Yelv? Elma again... Quite a coincidence...
Very unlikely. They already said that they could have made Future Connected longer and more fleshed out if it was DLC. Plus, most remasters are supposed to include all DLC, not introduce new dlc.
I believe Xenoblade deserves a spot as a flagship franchise. As long as the writers have freedom to write what they want.
@@uppernimbus That's not surprising considering Takahashi himself said the games were always designed and aimed for a more hardcore audience.
I hope it doesn’t become too big. That can harm a franchise, as seen with Pokémon.
Stelzenboy Did Xenoblade Definitive Edition really sell that much more than the original version? That is quite an achievement.

I do wanna see Xenoblade of the decedent of Shulk or anyone somehow related to the world they live in.
Fuuaarrk...

Luxin is uploading too quickly. Somebody stop this madman.
That...is one hell of an idea.
Wooow that's cool imagine exploring the world with teelan and collecting items to craft the cure (they must be super rare) and when he beat a telethia he can cure him and turn him into hight entia they will walk with u like the ponspecters

I would honestly rather Xenoblade 1 be allowed to have a definitive ending. I love it to bits, and I'm sure there's a way they could make it work. But I'd be sad to see this game be artificially extended a dozen times just to sell new games.
Don't take Luxon's word on anything. 99 percent of what he says is completely unsubstantiated.
yeah, I would be cool with a game set in Shulk's new world, but I'd want it to be set thousands of years later, with all of the party long gone. Just legends of ancient lore.
@@ununitedstates7550 So... You basically want Xenoblade X?
@@biozelink6086 my understanding is that X takes place in a totally different universe not the future of XBC1 or 2.
Yeah agreed. I hate it when stories don't have a conclusive ending and stretch it out too much.

I always felt like the Parisax enemies in Xenoblade 2 and especially the ones in Torna inside the Tornan Titan look WAY too much like the Gnosis.
Actually Luxin, it could still possibly be the same universe as Saga/X if we consider X is actually far down the line timewise.
Spoilers:
As Luxaar and Lao mention, the samaarians created all the alien lifeforms, and thats why they have a failsafe to never be able to go against the descendants of Samaar, Humans.
Wait, so The Fogking uses the Infernal GUldo model? I thought it looked familiar...
Yeah, the one that had Galea's name tag. Interesting decision, huh?
@@biozelink6086 It's not confirmed to be her nametag is it? People are just basing that off of a silhouette that seemed to have silver hair right?
Personally, this is what I want to see most in the next entry of the Xeno series:
Something worth noting is that Azurda stated he was flying over A RIFT at the end of 2.
The rift between the World Tree and the Cloud Sea?
he was referring to a rift in the clouds, an area of high turbulence. he was telling everyone to brace themselves.
Different meaning for rift lol
The same terminology being used still is notable, though.
Actually, come to think of it, fog IS just low clouds...
No definitely not. He said "We're crossing THAT rift", which implies that's it just the rift between the cloud sea and the world tree that you fall into at the end of Chapter 7.
Oh yeah future connected definitely hinted a sequel that involves shulk to some degree,
I personally think that Monolith has both Xenoblade X2 and Xenoblade 3 in the works, at least in terms of story.
The Zohar originally comes from Xenogears, not Xenosaga.
Xenogears came up with the Zohar, but Xenosaga is not connected outside of being a Spiritual Successor. The Xenosaga Zohar is technically different.
Bro what? lol
Play Xenosaga bc that literally couldn't be possible 😅
That would probably be way too many characters and worlds for one game
Bandai Namco and Nintendo have been working very well together for the last few years, so what you want may well be possible.
That 10th Anniversery picture made a pretty sick wallpaper. I'm glad I got to experience this game with remade models and just more amazing lighting effects after playing the original many times before (Wii and 3ds versions)
Here's some food for thought, imagine the original cast was just hanging out at new Colony 9 and then they see the titans from 2 smashing against the giant land mass at the end of the game.
I just want a Xeno X2 or X remake/port... My WiiU broke...
I actually really wanted XC2 to take place far into the future of XC exploring Shulk's legacy on different planets

X left quite a few questions unanswered about its world, it needs a sequel.
I would kill for a Xenoblade LoTR crossover.
My mind is really thinking a X2, but I'm just going to wait until a reveal.

Aside from a Xenoblade 3 which I think should be a stand alone story, I think Xenoblade Definitive Edition should get an update that allows you to run around the post credits Colony 9.
YES! More games need to do that! Absolutely! Awesome idea!
have you considered the possibility that the Fog King and his rift could be the link to how Telethia end up in the Xenoblade X universe? We clearly see the Telethia attacking the portal in the end of Future Connected but maybe that's when a few of the Telethia slipped through? And could this mean that a wounded Fog King from the battle at Alcamoth could be somewhere on Mira as well?
The next game will be x2 and the "connected" part will be that the samarians will be revealed as either high entia or homs.
Or... What if they're the Savorite Rebels?
Ammm why no one mentions alvis /ontos I mean he can be in the next xenoblade game bcz we don't anything about alvis we only saw that he is a blade or a computer he still have many hidden things we don't know
this is the rebirth of Xenosaga, the monado is connectedl

I support this 100%. I love the nopon!
Meh meh
Hard to really say what's coming next.
That's said, there is a new game that Monolift is working on, with only some neat-o looking artwork to show for.
nintendo can easly buy the xenogears/saga ip and make some remasters
Fog king makes fog enemies which are similar to tainted enemies from x and 1 and 2 are in at the very least parallel world's pair that with the fog kings apparent ability to generate some form of dimensional rift and potentially you have a scenario for all of the Xenoblade games to come together into the same universe
I wish it were feasible for Monolith to buy their IP from Bandai Namco and Square-Enix if only because they could play with all of their toys in the same setting.
Barring that it would be really fun to just have a big crossover event whether it's canon or not. Hell, throw Cloud in it for funsies because of how weirdly intertwined Xenogears and FF7 are
if i remember correctly, nintendo confirmed that melia will appear in xeno 3
i truly wish i could play xenoblade x , but sadly i cant , i love the xeno series
Do we have a timeline for all the series? I was wondering if all series were taking place on the same planet different times or different planets in the same galaxy?
I think one and two take place simultaneously but in separate universes. X takes place somewhere.
Ok here we go. Xenoblade only, as saga and gears are pretty seperate as of now
Spoilers for whole series
1 and 2 take place at the same time. 1 in a different universe created by Klaus, and 2 on earth, after klaus destroyed the World making it Alrest. They both end at the same time too. X is thought to be in a different universe but we dont know yet. You would know this if you actually played the games.
I haven't finished the video yet, but I wouldn't mind another collateral universe being shown from klaus' experiment, as we know not everything was sent to the xb1verse, or perhaps multiple of these being hopped between
I'm not well versed on any xeno games besides xb 1 and 2 nor am I on Takahashi 6 part story, so maybe this could be some sort of spin off game following Alvis or even just an Easter egg / cameo in the next new xeno game rather than completely new game
Edit: forgot to finish my sentence oops
They don’t own the rights to Xenosaga, and at this point, I really don’t think they will. I appreciate that you love the games so much and want them included in the canon, I just don’t see it happening. Honestly, redesigning and renaming it to be the Conduit should’ve been the prime indicator Xenosaga is not returning in earnest. How CAN it unless they get the rights back?
I really hope the Fog King is related to the Ghost Faction
Yahhh.... Is definitely KOS-MOS :)
Well, monolithsoft is thinking of "expanding the franchise" with spinoffs
What's the song while he talked about shibin saying good morning
Im in love with this game...
Who else doesn't like that the games are connected and story is affecting eachother? I wish they made the seires like final fantasy and had references and Easter eggs to eachother but not anything seriously plot affecting
ashurt hgup
I totally disagree. I really like the direction the series appear to be headed, and really hope it will be a connected universe, and not a final fantasy or fire emblem style.
@@ratardobatardo Exactly. Especially as it seems tzey know what they are doing. You gan play each Xenoblade game without having played the others and the game works alone. The others just enhance your enjoyment.
As long as it isn't Kingdom Hearts in style, where you have to play every weired installment to get the story, everything is good.
The Monolith approach works compared to the KH one.
@@ashketchum6971 yes agreed
You're definitely in the minority, if you a jrpg series like that I'd recommend the Tales of series
I just hope the story of whatever is next is up to the standard again, unlike Future Connected... I sadly really didn't like that 'story' since it was very flat and I personally felt like it had more plot holes than actual intriguing cliffhangers... I kinda see that must have happened because of time and budget reasons, but it had me very disappointed and I really hope it's gonna be worth it in the long run since this series means so much to me :/
Luxin where did ya get the clean version of beyond the sky acoustic? Very nice theory tho:)))
All I want to see is melia or shulk or both or alvis of them make it onto the next xenoblade game
What if Xenoblade 1 and 2 connected planet is actually Lost Jerusalem?
wouldnt hold my breath
Not the Gnosis...so...yeah
I think that kinda breaks the Gnosis idea, and infers more complications/links to XBC2 or XBCX rather than Saga.
If you think it breaks the Gnosis idea you clearly haven't played Xenosaga
Emulating is the only other way
@@jage6344 damn that means I have homework to do
@@gootchimus yeah unfortunately they have never been re released. Emulating isn't hard though so thats fine
Whats the music playing at 17.20
It's amazing
"Beyond the Sky (instrumental version)" from the ending of Future Connected
@@pumpkinlemonadezero9995 wait no, beyond the sky starts playing at 17.50
I wanted the track before it
@@patrickhachem9716 oh right, sorry xD
yeah I don't know the name of that one too, sadly
From 15:15 to 17:45 it's just called "Xenosaga II Opening Theme" from Xenosaga Episode II.

My dream is a joint project remake for Xenogears between Monolith Soft and Square Enix
Waiiiit, if they just pushed the fog king through the rift then it literally could be the Infernal Guldo from 2. I mean sure you'd need some time-space shenanigans but that's not too far fetched at this point.
It could be. And the reason it had a weird aura around it is because it was so unstable as is was from another world and didn't 'belong' in this world
must have a X2 or a port with an epilogue to tie X plot holes, it's my only expectation.
Do u think that XBCDE will get dlc I honestly hope it does
Unlikely to happen
Very unlikely. They already said that they could have made Future Connected longer and more fleshed out if it was DLC. Plus, most remasters are supposed to include all DLC, not introduce new dlc.
Saga is NEVER returning lol
yep, bandai thinks itll never sell.
Xenoblade 3, this time with fucking mechs or EVEN Xenoblade X on switch.
"Real X-Buster" in Xenoblade 2?? Hey, now, that blast came from her forehead, not her abdomen! (IMO, though, the XB2 iteration is more sensible.)
