1:15 I feel so called out Edit: Only thing I'd correct so far is I feel XC2 is more similar to XS1 than XG. They have extremely similar plot structures all the way down to the ending and the saga 1 system is just an improved version of the gears combat system already.
It's by far my favourite Xeno game out of each and every one of them and i absolutely adored Xenosaga trilogy. I am baffled why it takes them so long to port the damn thing on Switch. I think i understand the concept they are going for. First it was Xeno 2, then Torna, now it's Xeno 1 definitive, thus i expect the next game to be Xeno X as a port and i would love to see a Xeno X2.
Xenoblade Chronicles X has the best graphics of the whole entire franchise. Even though it came out last generation the graphics is still the best of the whole entire series. Also the soundtrack is so freaking amazing
@@oldmanmeen7805 I don't think it has something to do with the graphics themselves. It's the art style they went for that really gives XCX the best visual feel and the level and map design was just something else entirely. Even Breath of the wild isn't as robust as this one, purely on the design aspect of it. For me it is a game of pure toure de force of when a developer just flexes iron creative muscle. Amazing combat system, excellent terain traversal, gobsmacking OST, choices available to the player that can create burnouts and a story that is delivered in such a way that asks a lot of questions without giving definitive answers as it should be for such questions. It's just a masterpiece man, it's a masterpiece despite some of the problems that are present. Can't wait for this to hit the Switch and i really hope they do give us an XCX2.

I hear that a Xenosaga remaster would cost a lot, and not to mention would require a lot of work to get in working on HD consoles. Apparently Xenosaga Episode 1 uses a lot of pre-rendered in engine FMVs (which would require work to remake in a remaster). And playing them in an optimal setup in these days is difficult. They don't support 480p, and 480i even on a CRT looks pretty bad.
@@dinglberry3320 if you've ever played Xenosaga 1 on an emulator, it can be really jarring to between cutscenes and gameplay even though playing on a PS2 connected to a CRT looks almost seamless.
Also; it was brought up in an interview with Takahashi for the development for Xenoblade 1, that the plot was originally going to have a lot more Perfect Works elements at the end of the game, but due to the game being called Monado; Beginning of the World, was scrapped early in development. This played a lot into how the game almost became a flat retelling of a lot of the more thematic things for Xenogears, while having little to do with the Perfect Works narrative.
Yes but ultimately those themes have allowed Xenoblade 1 to become a sort of new episode set in between 2 and 3 in the imaginary domain (With Xenoblade 2 set in the real domain) if the Xenoblade 3 trailer is anything to go by, with 3 acting as the new Gears/episode 4, with both domains somehow colliding into one another and the resulting nations of Keves and Agnus being obvious stand-ins for Kislev and Aveh, engaged in a similar conflict

So this is what it feels like trying to get into Kingdom Hearts. That said, at least you can experience pretty much everything in Kingdom Hearts on the PS4 in one package now. I just finished Future Connected today so it's nice to know what I should play next. Thanks for the video.
As a HUGE Xenogears fan (I think it's the best RPG ever) it breaks my heart that this game got rushed a bit and never fully fleshed out with prequels etc. It has the best feel and story I've ever played and highly recommend it. Never played the blade games but did play a couple Saga games and it just felt like a sad homage to a titan of a series that never got it's just due. If I had the money I would fund the prequels myself, the graphics and potential it could have would be purely amazing.
Saw Etika playing Xenoblade 2 on stream once and thought it looked cool, checked out Chuggacconroy's LP of Xenoblade 1, decided to get Xenoblade 3d even though pretty much everywhere said that I didn't have to play the first game first, and the rest is history.
@@maxrichards3881 Like.... Yeah, I've played first 2 and now it's a part of me, hopefully it happens the same with 1, both amazing games with very good story and combat
I watched this video about half a year ago, and I'm proud to report I have now finished XC1 and I'm completely sold on the series. Thank you for making this guide, I have finally seen the light!!
Hi, potential new Xeno fan watching this video! I just wanted to toss out there that, if you have a PS3, PSP or Vita, Xenogears is available digitally for only $9.99 in the US! Sadly, it isn't available on PS4. Also, the Xenosaga games haven't been remade or remastered for any other platform, they're all still exclusive to PS2. Also, Xenogears and all of Xenosaga except Episode 2 were never released in any region besides Japan and North America :(
I recommend if you got a well running PC, to try to use the PSX2 emulator to play all the Xenosaga because they got all the episodes and they run pretty well.
Bro I'm so glad i found your channel. You are officially my favorite channel on youtube and i have been watching/listening to your videos daily during all my free time. I just got xenoblade 2 (first xeno game) in january, and finally beat it after 125 hrs last week. I am in love with the game. I was browsing for fan videos about the game and stumbled on one of your videos. I loved hearing your point of view as a fan of the game. Then i found out all you talk about is xeno, and i hit that subscribe button faster than the rapid b button challenge of some special arts. Thank you for your videos, thank you for your descriptions. And thank you for being a fan of these games! I hope many more people become fans so there can be a big fan club!!
i just finished xenoblade 2 and i played torna before, personally i feel like playing torna added a lot to the experience and made me significantly care more about the characters who were in torna and what they were doing, i didnt ever feel like the story in xc2 was ruined for me bc of torna and in fact i often felt in shock that xc2 came out first bc to me at least a lot of xc2 felt like you were supposed to play torna first
Someone on Twitter recommended me this video after they saw my comment about wanting to try out the series, and after watching this video (and getting many comments highly recomending Xenoblade DE) I've decided I might aswell give the series a shot by trying out Xenoblade DE
I want a xenogears remake/remaster. The game's story was so prolific, it reminds me of the first time I saw Neon Genesis, or Ghost in the shell. Such deep story telling and psychoanalysis and I love it. The story telling in the original is incredible too, from the anime cutscenes, to just expertly written dialogue and scenes. I think a remaster of the game would be incredible, as long as they keep the same asthetic the original had.
I've played Xenoblade Chronicles on New 3DS XL, have never finished it because i lost the cartridge (i was only at the chapter 2!!) My OFFICIAL introduction was Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna The Golden Country, i have 80+ hours and trying to 100% it rn! Can't wait to get both Xenoblade Chronicles 1 Definitive Edition and 2!
I've only played all Xenoblade games apart from Xenoblade X but it's very interesting knowing about Xenogears and Xenosaga. I only knew a bit of it from reading the wiki but I'm glad Luxin goes into full detail. Great video!!
I've only been able to play XC 1 and 2 so far, but 2 is my favorite JRPG of all time and 1 isn't far behind. The fact that they are both on the Switch now is phenomenal. Masterpieces both.
Found this video in 2024 because i am FINALLY playing xenosaga…they came out in a dark part in my life and now that I have my shit together and time…i can experience them..played xenogears and the xenoblade games…so far..xenosaga is becoming my favorite…they need a remaster
Even though i own all the Xenoblade games i found this video very informative. I purchased both X2 and XX before X1 but waited because i felt i had to wait. Looks like i was right. Hope you complete the Xeno series someday
@@dinglberry3320 Yes i know, Monolith Soft has 4 teams. 1- The Nintendo team that helps Nintendo with games (Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin etc.) 2- The Xenoblade team 3- The Zelda team 4- And the team that is making the new ip.
FINALLY someone else mentioned this. The movement in X is so, so much better than 1 and 2. The biggest flaw of 1 imo would be fixed by just adding a sprint button

Monolith soft is fantastic. Each one has its own appeal. That said Xenoblade 1 and 2 are special because they actually start and finish in the span of their own release.
Getting a Ps3 (The original one not the slim one) is a great option if you want to play both gear and saga. Gears is still on the ps3 store for $10. Also the ps3 is backwards compatible and can play xenosaga with faster load times.
Luxin, now that FC's done with can i suggest maybe making a video trying to theorise a visual timeline of how all the xeno games could tie in together in the grand scheme. So like which universes are the same or connected, stuff like is able/feb from saga the same as able/ele from gears, is kosmos (+ maybe jin's body) from saga's end the same as the blades from xb2, that kind of thing Then maybe try and pick out all the loose threads still unexplained and try to theorize where they could go. Stuff like where does X fit into all of this, which universe if any it belongs to, what the fog king could be (like is it a gnosis and if so does that connect to the tainted in X). Or where does the telethia and nopon in X come from and why do they directly reference locations, phrases and events from xb1 It would be interesting seeing what people could come up with cus i dont think i've seen someone yet try to legit make a full chart of connections yet
my theory for how saga and blade connect personally is that whats supposed to happen is the nephilim experiment but instead the Klaus experiment happens achieving the same goal. But the timeline had changed too much by that point and when kosmos fused with telos and Mary the timeline had changed so drastically the fusion was different leading to them to break free of the cycle of universal recursion. the events of 1 and 2 happen as they should but the original universe is 2. Kosmos falls to earth and is somehow turned into a blade and joins rex and friends journey and the zohar departs and the world is restored.
Whoaaa, many thanks for bringing up Xenosaga Pied Piper/Missing Year, I legit had no idea they existed since most places I looked into regarding the series were ENG based so JPN exclusives were seemingly left out, bar the DS remake lol I've only completed Episode I and really enjoyed it but I'll def check out the extra goodies once I finish up Ep II in the future. Thanks for making this video, getting into this series is such a thrill!
I've had xc2 basically since I got the switch in 2017. Never beat it, now we have xcde and xenoblade 3. Definitely in my backlog I can't wait to sink hours into them
Funny story, i had always heard of Xenoblade Chronicles during the Wii days but never bothered to check it out. Though I was just a TAD curious because I remembered watching a friend play Xenosaga. BUT, it was Xenoblade X that got my attention. I, LOVE, Xenoblade X, I got absolutely lost in that game just exploring the world and admiring the different creatures and environments. And don't even get me started on how excited I was when i got my Skell, and more so when I could fly. Sadly I never actually beat Xenoblade X, and due to real world hardships I had to let go of my Wii U and all my games, but because of that game I became more interested in the other Xenoblade and did a bit of research on it. Shortly after that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was announced during the Switch showcase, and I got it not long after release. I eventually got distracted after beating it, but I've been eyeballing Torna and Definitive edition for a while now. With Xenoblade Chronicles 3 just around the corner I'll definitely be revisiting all the games. Can't say i'm all that interested in the other games though, might just read up on those.
Got XC2 thanks to a certain sassy feline character and snippets/memes of her that I found online, haven't regretted spending >180 hours on it (including Torna). Got XC1 DE a while ago and recently finished it (and FC) with >150h of play time. So I guess you can say I got hooked pretty hard on the XC series, and thanks to your overview I might look into the other Xeno games at some point (probably after I'm done with XC3). Would also be a decent reason to undust my Wii U (if I can get a copy of XC X for a decent price) xD
Really enjoyed this video, are there any videos with a non-spoilery review of Xenoblade 3, and whether or not it would be a good idea to start with it?
Lets see, is this video for me. Am I a Pokémon and Fire Emblem fan: Yes Do I want Persona 5 on the switch: Yes Am I a Shulk main: Yes Do I like things...? I am a man, so yes. Have I already played al of the xenoblade games: YES
Aye tbh yes the only reason I bought a WiiU in 2018 was to play Xenoblade X and I didn't regret it, found a few nintendo only gems along side it and to experience the werid console design choice of the Wii U was entertaining enough.
Very good video. Im an old gamer. Still own my copies of Xenogears & all 3 xenosaga games. I recently purchased xenoblade definitive edition. Was going to start playing it. Wondering if i should replay the old ones first. But now im comfortable in playing it now & well going threw your first list in order to the best of my ability. I only recently acquired a new switch for free. Dont own a wiiU. So cant play xenoblade X. I still have all my playstation’s. My ps3 is probably the most valuable one. In pristine condition. Lol. My 1 has seen better days. Been threw too many moves i guess. Well im rambling. Thank you for this video. It has helped me.
Is it weird that the most exciting part of this was seeing him lay down his in box copy of US xenosaga 3. Good luck finding that for a reasonable price if you are new to the series. What a crime that they never rereleased the xenosaga games. That’s become as big a chase game as Suikoden 2.
My reason is because Pyra/Mythra was in smash bros and I got xenogears for my ps3 from the psn store. I wasn’t able to play the xenogears game for ps1 by squaresoft because my ps3 slim stopped turning on.
I really hope Xenogears gets ported to Switch! It honestly looks really cool, and I don't have any Playstation consoles. Xenoblade Chronicles X would also be neat!
If there's anything I want to happen more than anything relating to video games right now- I really hope that Square, Namco and Nintendo can get their shit together to port Xenogears and Saga to the switch. Not a remake, not a remaster, just a port would suffice. I think switch owners who are loving the Xenoblade games would love the opportunity to play these older games while supporting the developers. I for one haven't touched either Gears or Saga and I absolutely intend to (via emulation) however even without playing them I know how happy I would be to support Monolith Soft. Edit: Just got to your comment on it being common for people to like the linear games over X or vice versa! Ha! I relate to that. My best friend's love X but won't touch 1 or 2. I enjoyed X for the most part and intend on completing it, however I adore the linear games.
Totally agree. Retro ports to the switch are huge right now. Just throw in some AI upscaling for the saga games and you'd be good to go! Of course my wishlist extends a bit further, such as re-voicing saga so that character voice actors are consistent, but I'd live with anything that keeps the games alive.
Late to the party, but I'd like to point out that Xenoblade Chronicles X has a ton of Xenosaga and Xenogears references: >The clothes worn by most npcs are nearly identical to what was worn in XS1, 2, 3. >There's also a huge nod (potentially more than a nod) to KOS-MOS. >More subtly is the representation of multiple alien races as Xenogears had. >The obvious connection between the White Whale and The Eldridge (both cosmetically and in purpose). >The nod to the Zohar with how Lifeholds are shaped. >The super obvious connection between skells and geare (right down to fuel consumption as a game mechanic). Xenoblade Chronicles X is a love letter to Xenogears and Xenosaga. The theming, the characters, the easter eggs... the entire game is like "Best of" album. So to say that Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn't contain many references to previous Xeno titles is pretty dismissive and inaccurate. For those new to the Xeno series and have every intention of seeing the entire series through; Save Xenoblade Chronicles X for last. You'll appreciate the finer details that much more and you'll find it the hardest of the series to walk away from because there will constantly be a nagging itch in your own head-canon that will keep whispering "But did I really explore this area? Maybe there's another connection I missed. Maybe that side quest has more significance than I originally thought. I should check just to be sure." And you'll grow an immense love/hate relationship with it.
Great work! Too bad Square owns the rights to Xenogears, but who knows, maybe SE and Nintendo/Monolith can collab for a Xenogears remake? If there's enough fan support it can happen!
Today I finished Xenosaga Ep II. What a great game and I don't understand why there are people who don't like it. It builds more on the lore of the series and the battle system is carefully elaborated, one needs to properly strategize for some battles and it's more dynamic than Ep I's. Three down, five to go before XC3.
The last time i played Xenogears was a long time ago and I raged quit at Deus Ex the last boss but the story plot and characters stuck with me to this very day.Great game and an important one to me but very efing hard.Parasite Eve(First one)Got to the last boss but never finished as well.I think because my Ps1 copy was too scratched up.
It is one ultimate series. Xenosaga is a retelling of Episode 1 of perfect works. The end of xenosaga III creates the universe that xenogears takes part in and think of xenoblade 1 and 2 as the creation stories of the world xenogears will later take place in. Almost like the universe Kevin created at end of saga III resulted in fractal worlds. One was bionis/mechonis, one was full of titans. At the end of each the protagonists free this fractal worlds from its gods or controllers and (although I’m playing through DE and 2) I’m assuming the world in 3 depicts a merging of the two fractals worlds. XCX is a 3rd fractal world. It’s the telling of what happened to th 1) the esrth escape ships in space fleeing earth as its being targeted the end of saga III and 2) all alien species in spaceships within the vicinity of the black hole Kevin creates at the end of saga III. Got pulled through and arrived at different years (umbrella academy style) didn’t know it happened and suddenly are in orbit of XCX planet, large ships crash land, smaller ones able to land safely or maintain orbit. Takes place after the events of xenoblade 1/2. Some NPCs in X, their dialogue is recounting legends passed down directly depicting stuff nopons did in xenoblade 1/2. Also believe the end of XCX depicts and puts Lao as Cain from xenogears. Comes out of that goo with an organic body, saved by one of the ministry’s that become that consciousnesses within that cube in X. Lao (Cain) becomes emperor Cain. Xenoblade chronicles and X are slowly leading into the Abel/nephilim fei/elly. We already saw nephilim/elly in myrtha. All one big ultimate game series getting around copyright BS.
@@4YourViewing and it's just the matter of whether Nintendo, Bandai-Namco, and Square-Enix are getting together for yet another collaboration. The closest we've ever got was SSBU, so I'm somewhat optimistic. However, there's also Monolith Soft's creative direction
I just keep screaming for a game that has the impact that Xenogears had. The story was so good, I don't know but i fear that the Xenoblade ones would never get close to it so I'm scared of spending all that money...
Located Xenoblade 3D (before Switch Definitive Edition), hunted down Xenosaga 1-3, bought a PS2 Slim, and finally grabbed Xenogears for my Vita/ PS3. Yes, in that order too. My body is ready! Playing in release order. Xenogears first.
I was a huge Xenosaga fanboy, I loved absolutely everything about pt1. I was so excited when pt 2 released and I remember loading it up and being completely dumbfounded that they completely changed the style of the game. I was so mad. I couldnt understand why they would go a screw up something that was already so good. I know for me it killed any interest in continuing the series no matter how much I loved the story. Im sure I am not the only one who felt betrayed/dissapointed/let down whatever and stopped purchasing
I was also very let down by Episode II's baffling decisions. But I did still get through it and thankfully Episode III was a vast improvement (although Ep I is still my personal favorite). I've always been resistant to Xenoblade for several reasons, but a big one is definitely my own disappointment at Xenosaga getting short shrift and not wanting to move on. Of the three, X appealed to me most single because it's art style was so similar to Xenosaga. Unfortunately I was not one of the dozen Wii U owners and they haven't ported it.
The one thing I want to say is that if you're playing XCDE or just finished it and it's your first Xenoblade game then you should absolutely play XC2. Many consider it to be better than 1 in several ways, and it explains a lot of the real history behind 1, before the universe of the Bionis and Mechonis even existed.
Only in anime and mmorpg can someone fall down with a sword on his back and standing up again with the sword not having broken (not to mention other... parts remaining intact)
I want to play xenogear because it reminds me of gundam. OMG 2 characters from project x zone are from xenogear I’ve seen them this whole time and idk know.
Ah man. I thought all the games were connected through the story. I played Xenogears back in the day and was planning to get play through the rest of them . Not so sure anymore..
I'm only a few minutes in kind of post disclaimer. For the record I did like and subscribe find the concept of stoned ramblings on the narrative intricacies of PROBABLY, TOTALLY , EASILY the BEST JRPG I've ever played or KNOW even could HOPE to experience. But I only played part one sadly and that was like 10 years ago when I replayed it since I kind of started playing games of this type only a few years before xenogears and FF VII and all the other pretty cool RPG contemporaries of the era but being someone that really didn't have the time to go further than those mainline square series and simultaneously THINKS he has good taste. Even by the time FF10 came out. Which was like a near dream game at it's time of announcement but was the DEFINITIVE vehicle for my near complete separation from jrpgs. Almost completely down to two factors that I'd feared could ruin these games before remotely realized to what magnitude. Which I guess 75% pretty much terrible FORCED (trust me I'd have killed to read that plot back in the day but I wasn't going to mute my damn game I shouldn't have to do that as a high school or they just wanted to play a game without being haunted by horrific voices) I'm totally going off the rails you think... And I'll finish up this video I'm sorry It just is crazy to me like I've fallen in love with these types of games reading these fascinating stories which so much of what set my mind ablaze with love for the and a few others, was he almost freedom of being able to read and DISCOVER the characters. With FF10 I couldn't get to know them because they annoyed the hell out of me and I hated their guts based on their voice yep shallow as hell but kinda deep now that I'm looking at it years later. I bought the first Saga game Japanese language track and such though after recently having thrown into wild nostalgia for these... or some type of that semblance of these as I played a GUST RPG from the PS2 actually which checked the right boxes. Namely satisfying characters speaking in their language or equally/ preferably not at all and interesting enough exploration and combat to compliment the trek
Dude that's crazy look at the length... what is wrong me. Oh yeah up for way too long and stoned but just trying to hit the heart of the topic... regardless supposed to let that massively hideous wall of text stand strong as a testament to the first games wonderfully dense beautifully over the toP both, immaculately constructed AND thoroughly incoherent, seemingly a hopelessly overambitious bloated mess of text yet when it gets going and you suddenly get so engrossed all You want an open life is to get out of this confusing maze of random encounter so you can just sit through another amazing block of text... there is simply no question to me at the time and this moment was the absolute best, well delivered, effortlessly compelling and shockingly engaging NARRATIVE (game's not perfect that's for sure) I'm pretty sure I've ever played and it doesn't feel close
1:15 I feel so called out
Edit: Only thing I'd correct so far is I feel XC2 is more similar to XS1 than XG. They have extremely similar plot structures all the way down to the ending and the saga 1 system is just an improved version of the gears combat system already.

Etika's Streams were how I got into Xenoblade 2!
Just finished the definitive edition, 75 hours. I think i have 150 hours on XC2. Amazing games.
Rare comment where someone calls both games amazing instead of “this is better than this” 👏🏾

I don’t find either game truely better than the other. I just have a personal connection to 2 that I don’t have with 1.
@@maxrichards3881 Like.... Yeah, I've played first 2 and now it's a part of me, hopefully it happens the same with 1, both amazing games with very good story and combat
It took me over 90 hours to beat it
@@nesi9190I played Xenoblade 1, it became part of me, I played Xenoblade 2, it became part of me.
Now Xenoblade 3 needs to become part of me too :)
That Enel call out. Perfection.
We all know
Pyra and Mythra brought me here. Oh, and Shulk too, I guess.
I've been with the series since the Xenogears demo that came with Parasite Eve.
Also, Xenogears and all of Xenosaga except Episode 2 were never released in any region besides Japan and North America :(
also episode 3 can be somewhat expensive
I recommend if you got a well running PC, to try to use the PSX2 emulator to play all the Xenosaga because they got all the episodes and they run pretty well.
Thank you sm for this information! I got Xenosaga Eps 1/2 a few months ago so I've never been so happy to have kept my PS2 and now PS3 haha
Well this information aged poorly
I had xenogears as a kid and loved it, went online to buy a copy after this video, immediately cried
You forgot about Xenosaga I & II, the Japan only Nintendo DS release!
i just finished xenoblade 2 and i played torna before, personally i feel like playing torna added a lot to the experience and made me significantly care more about the characters who were in torna and what they were doing, i didnt ever feel like the story in xc2 was ruined for me bc of torna and in fact i often felt in shock that xc2 came out first bc to me at least a lot of xc2 felt like you were supposed to play torna first
Someone on Twitter recommended me this video after they saw my comment about wanting to try out the series, and after watching this video (and getting many comments highly recomending Xenoblade DE) I've decided I might aswell give the series a shot by trying out Xenoblade DE
I've played Xenoblade Chronicles on New 3DS XL, have never finished it because i lost the cartridge (i was only at the chapter 2!!)
My OFFICIAL introduction was Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Torna The Golden Country, i have 80+ hours and trying to 100% it rn!

I'm just starting the games to get ready for the new game coming out this year
This is a great vid! Def gonna be showing this to some friends
I've only been able to play XC 1 and 2 so far, but 2 is my favorite JRPG of all time and 1 isn't far behind. The fact that they are both on the Switch now is phenomenal. Masterpieces both.
Found this video in 2024 because i am FINALLY playing xenosaga…they came out in a dark part in my life and now that I have my shit together and time…i can experience them..played xenogears and the xenoblade games…so far..xenosaga is becoming my favorite…they need a remaster
iv beaten chronicles 1 and 2 and tried most the others. this is still very informational since there are tons of questions
I get the feeling that Luxin will eventually update this video to take Xenoblade Chronicles 3 into account.
Definitely enjoy X's battle system. Oh and also the battle system in Torna. For gameplay wise, those are really good. Story wise... Xenoblade 1!
Xenosaga ep 1 will forever be one of my favorites
Even though i own all the Xenoblade games i found this video very informative. I purchased both X2 and XX before X1 but waited because i felt i had to wait. Looks like i was right. Hope you complete the Xeno series someday
I personally can't wait for Monolith Soft's new ip! Xenoblade is great but new ips are more exciting for me.
Xenolegend? Xenofantasy? Xenofariy?
@@demi-fiendoftime3825 New ip, nothing Xeno related!

Xenoblade X is better than Xenoblade 1 or 2 because it has a sprint button and I will not be accepting criticism at this time

Also the ps3 is backwards compatible and can play xenosaga with faster load times.
thank you Alvis
Good luck finding a OG PS3 fat that has not died by YLOD though
Great video Luxin, hope you're doing well
Time is marching on, so im only recording my runthrough of Torna.
Luxin, now that FC's done with can i suggest maybe making a video trying to theorise a visual timeline of how all the xeno games could tie in together in the grand scheme. So like which universes are the same or connected, stuff like is able/feb from saga the same as able/ele from gears, is kosmos (+ maybe jin's body) from saga's end the same as the blades from xb2, that kind of thing
Then maybe try and pick out all the loose threads still unexplained and try to theorize where they could go. Stuff like where does X fit into all of this, which universe if any it belongs to, what the fog king could be (like is it a gnosis and if so does that connect to the tainted in X). Or where does the telethia and nopon in X come from and why do they directly reference locations, phrases and events from xb1
It would be interesting seeing what people could come up with cus i dont think i've seen someone yet try to legit make a full chart of connections yet
my theory for how saga and blade connect personally is that whats supposed to happen is the nephilim experiment but instead the Klaus experiment happens achieving the same goal.
Thank you for the video!
I’ve recently finished the series, it’s outstanding how incredible XC2 is despite Nintendo used monolith devs for Zelda.
If you guys want to hear Pide Piper, Loading Gears made some videos about the whole story.

OUTSTANDING VIDEO! I will always ALWAYS be hopeful for a remake of Xenogears! Truly a masterpiece! #2022wish
I'm already way in but I watched anyway
I've had xc2 basically since I got the switch in 2017. Never beat it, now we have xcde and xenoblade 3. Definitely in my backlog I can't wait to sink hours into them
Me, already a huge fanboy of the Xenoblade franchise and quite interested in gears and saga: hmmmm.... interesting
Xenoblade 3 builds off of 1 and 2 while combining them, so it's not a recommended starting place.
Lets see, is this video for me.
Am I a Pokémon and Fire Emblem fan: Yes
Do I want Persona 5 on the switch: Yes
Am I a Shulk main: Yes
Do I like things...? I am a man, so yes.
Have I already played al of the xenoblade games: YES
Thx for the info, a new Xenoblade game is dropping and I’m lost af. At the very least I now know where that blue haired girl is from.
Xenoblade 2 & Torna DLC are masterpiece
I approve of this guide 👍
Maybe one day, square-enix will make a remake of xenogear. I hope something similar to star ocean second story that just released.
I really hope Xenonsaga gets a full remake and gets to full flesh out and complete all 6 games like it was envisioned.
All three Xenoblade games are simply amazing
Totally agree. Retro ports to the switch are huge right now. Just throw in some AI upscaling for the saga games and you'd be good to go!
Of course my wishlist extends a bit further, such as re-voicing saga so that character voice actors are consistent, but I'd live with anything that keeps the games alive.
Late to the party, but I'd like to point out that Xenoblade Chronicles X has a ton of Xenosaga and Xenogears references:
>The clothes worn by most npcs are nearly identical to what was worn in XS1, 2, 3.
I should check just to be sure."
And you'll grow an immense love/hate relationship with it.
Great work!
Too bad Square owns the rights to Xenogears, but who knows, maybe SE and Nintendo/Monolith can collab for a Xenogears remake? If there's enough fan support it can happen!
Today, we use our power to fell a god, and then seize our destiny!
Good job in getting over 16k subs now . Your doing a great job bro
Saga will never be gears, but it’s the next best thing imo.
Just finished Xenosaga Ep I on my way to Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Just imagine what it would be like for an ultimate Xeno series game, where Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade all crossed over.
The xenoblade stories are fantastic. Take the plunge, it's worth it.
Don't play my game (XS2). Just watch the cutscenes. You'll have a better time.
You're basically me. I'm sure there are a lot of people like us as well.
I really want to see this but I don’t want it to ruin the games I’m playing lol. Might finish them and come back
If xenogears was remade or expounded upon I would buy it immediately. Sorely missed.
