  • Mineral Bottom / Mary's Gash Cliff Launch Exit with Base Jumpers. Glider is a Wills Wing T2C 154. Should have zipped up my harness for the short flight, my head angle is way too high at speed with it unzipped. I've launched this a bunch in other gliders, but this was only my second launch in the T2C. A no stepper and a river swoop are definitely in the future!

I flew hang gliders in the early 70s, my first glider a bamboo bomber. I was at Mineral Bottom last year after floating down on a raft from Green River. My life is wonderful.

You are so right, we do only get one go at life live little dead lots. People say to me I am mad flying hang gliders and that if we were meant to fly we would have wings. I say to them. " The bible says the world was built in six days. If he had took the time to give us wings and cars and bikes, he woud still be working now, as we are , he gave us the brains to build our own wingsand things"
Happy life and flying, Cheers, Pete

I have the utmost respect and admiration for you guys for living your dreams. I'm almost done with my aerotow and foot launch lessons. 2 pulled hamstrings on two different occasions from sprinting an hour straight on the bunny hills. I'm not giving up! It's healed again but this time I'm really going to strengthen my hamstrings before I go.

Live Big!!! I drove across the whole country to do a sled run in Yosemite! I'd do it again to fly this site! I'd have to think about that launch though, maybe one step, nose down, dive...? Badass Video!!

It seems to have worked for you but when I do a dead air cliff launch, I carry the glider up high to get my hang strap tight. Great video.

What is the rope he was pulling on the right side and wha it for or do?

    • @hanggman

Variable geometry. That rope change the shape of the glider turning it stiffer

I like this ideal. But in fact there has never been any true proff that we might live again, no proff of chosts either, No Mate take it from me when you are dead you are dead, I do not mind being dead at all in life I have done every thing I ever wanted , all I worry about now is how I die I have fear of ending up a cabbage with no one to put me down, Still every one before me has done it, so shell I. Live while you can.. Cheers Pete I will add my brother is a spiritulist, has indian guide too

Why does everyone say "we only get one life"? I'd have to assume if I'm here once I could be here again.

Millions of people believe in reincarnation. Most of them live in India, though.
