    I saw a really great trick to roll out your pie crust on parchment before you put it in the freezer and then roll it up like store bought pie crust and store it in freezer bags. Saves even more time when you are ready to use it!

    Loving your videos. Just a quick tip, use an old canning lid to scrape the inside o any gourd. It pulls the seeds aways so easily.

    I love watching your videos, however I do prefer when you keep talking to us as you bring us along for your day. Many times I am not watching the video, I have you playing as I go about my day, and when it is just music playing I could have a music playlist playing. Just saying ❤ this video was a great combination of asking and music.

    I sure hope you soak those seeds in salty water for a day or so and dry them in the dehydrator. They are delicious and very nutritious.

    You are such a good baker! I love watching you. Maybe when the holidays are over, I'll try my hand at making bread. I do make great Rhodes Bread Rolls, but they come frozen and I just lay them out to rise.

    I processed my pumpkin into purée for the freezer. Handling the hot food is tough but I don’t have the patience to wait. Although I still have finger prints. 😂 I did so many pumpkins that our freezer is jammed full. What thins looked amazing. I haven’t done pop tarts in awhile but that looked yummy. I have a pie crust in the freezer so maybe I need to make some with the jam I have.

    Thank you so much for the up date on the pop tart I sure will be making some of my black raspberry jam pop tarts. And my sin with surely love them too. I make a big batch of pie crust up during the holidays. 5lb. All purpose flour,3lbs. Real lard,1lb.Amish butter,1-1/2 2tsps. Salt,1/3 cup sugar,and 1 quart of ice cold water. You will need a huge bowl I use my big blue Tupperware bowl cause I always make it up and share with son from another mother and make a big batch of egg noodles too . That way we can make dinner then roll everything out and store in the freeze for up too 1 year . I wrap with plastic wrap then foil .

    Have you tried homemade cream cheese? I am wondering if it is worth it. And what in your opinion is not work making from scratch?, mine is ketchup. I am new in a lot of ways lol but new to you Chanel, I enjoy your videos 😊

      @SouthernWifeEverydayLife  9 місяців тому

      I’ve heard that from a few people about ketchup lol
      I haven’t tried making any dairy products yet. I’d say butter though. I just use so much of it. It’s cheaper for me to stock up on it when it’s on sale and freeze it. Making it is fun, but not worth it to me.

    I make most of my bread without a bread machine. But for buns, rolls, etc I find the bread machine is the best! My bread machine came from a second hand store for $6 its a 1994 model like my mom had and still running like a champ. If you don't want to spend alot of money, Check the estate and garage sales or second hand stores. It's worth the storage space it takes up.
