As soon as I saw your caption that your kitty is no longer with us, I immediately started crying. You see, your kitty looked like my Buddy. He got cancer last year and crossed the rainbow bridge January 22nd of this year. I had him for 15 years. I still cry for him and miss him terribly, even 9 months later. My heart hurts so much for you! I'm sorry for your loss.
Lisa, my heart dropped when I read your beautiful cat was gone. He was so precious and I loved seeing you talking to and holding him in your videos. He was such a big, sweet baby. And you were such a great catmom. I never knew his name even though I’ve watched your videos 100 times, I somehow missed what his name was, though I remember you saying that he just showed up one day and you kept him. Obviously he had a great life with you and your family. 🙏🥺
Hi Lisa. It was bitter sweet to hear your kitty in the video. I know he is greatly missed. 😢 I really, really enjoyed this clean out the freezer video. More please! I love your creativity with your recipes. Thank you and have a great day! Love from Texas ❤
I had completely forgotten about what we used to call lazy cabbage rolls. That was a regular part of many families' dinner rotations back in the 70s and 80s. Thanks for reminding me.
Lisa, as always, I so loved your video today. All of your meals look scrumptious. Your Angel Kitty is still following you around, you just can't see him now because you were such a loving Mama to him and he loved you very much. I get excited when I see a video from you (I'm 66 😂) and snuggle down with a cup of tea or hot chocolate to enjoy. God bless you, sweet girl.
Oh , so sorry about the loss of your sweet kitty. I loved seeing him! I am a cat person as well and have several I adore. Love you and your videos…been watching a long time. thanks for sharing. The Rainbow Bridge is there for all of us pet lovers!
A few years ago, I purchased a chamber vacuum sealer from a recommendation from a employee at my supermarket. You should see my freezer lol. I cook a lot of stuff ahead of time and chamber seal them. I just ate leftover pizza slices from the pizza parlor that was six months old. Love it and save a lot of money. Enjoyed your video very much, thank you for posting.
how often do you do videos? ive been watching for you for awhile, your ideas are wonderful to watch. im a senior that lives alone, stretching food out is how ive managed so far.
So sorry about your kitty, I lost my old guy in February, he would've been 22 in June. I started my annual late summer freezer clean last week, eating the most random things. A couple days ago I made a big pot of pinto beans with the jus from my Easter ham and this weekend I'm eating 2 forgotten sausage rolls from Christmas, 2023. I empty out so I can start filling it back up in anticipation of the holidays.
Yay! I love to watch your cooking old foods from the freezer videos! So satisfying. I recently did this myself. Feels so good not letting food go to waste.
Lisa, thank you for all the wonderful suggestions! I’m looking forward to more of these videos. I’m so sorry about your sweet kitty. I know he was loved so much. 😢
I lost my Mr. Kitty two years ago. I cried every day for over a year. I also had to put him down. It was one of the hardest days of my life. On August 19th our sweet 11 yo black lab Baby passed suddenly. She was the child in our empty nest and we miss her deeply. We have an appointment to meet a rescue dog on Monday. Our Baby would want us to keep giving a loving home and life. I know how deeply you're hurting. I'm so so sorry. You are not alone ❤
I am soooo sorry to hear that you lost your beautiful grey kitty. We have a big grey dude the kids named Dwayne Johnson. I know you gave him his best life. It’s so hard to accept that they just don’t live as long as we do.❤
The timing of this is spot on! I've just rounded up all the random chicken thighs from my freezer and made chicken stew in the slow cooker. I've just had covid so whilst I was ill/contagious (ten days from first symptoms is current advice where I am) I relied heavily on my freezer. Chicken stew was the last meal using things that weren't just an easy cook. I also put in lots of veggies that were starting to look sad. It made four generous portions, two I ate and two more are back in the freezer and are now an easy dinner. Next up are a couple of burgers which I might cook in gravy like a Salisbury steak and all the plantain my partner buys cheap cos they're perfectly ripe and fills the freezer with then goes away for work! I also had a lovely time at the reduced section in the supermarket when I finally went out and filled the gaps in my freezer with new stuff.
I adore your videos, Lisa!😋🍽🌶❤️ they're all so relaxing!😊 I wish you could post weekly.. but I know it's a lot of work!! 💪🏻🤗 May your sweet kitty rest in peace!🐈⬛🙏🏻🕊
Oh Lisa, I’m so sorry about your kitty. I live my cats and I know they are only with us for a relatively short time, so it’s close to my heart. I got a chest freezer in 2020 and I really need to empty out a lot of things that made their way to the bottom and get through it. Most stuff isn’t that old, but some things I just don’t think I have when I meal plan.
I love mixing up the beans and having different kinds in soup! Great video. And I’m sincerely sorry about your sweet lil fur baby- we loved seeing him ❤
My son is named Joseph, we've always called Sloppy Joe's, Untidy Joseph's. Great job on the meals. It's my goal before fall is flat out onto us, to get thru my freezers and do the same thing! Waste not, want not!
I’m also in the process of working my way through my freezer because I haven’t done that in far too long! I am enjoying not spending much of anything at the grocery store because I’m using food I bought on sale a long time ago. It helps me get creative and I always end up with some amazing meals! Thanks for the inspiration and ideas!
Always a treat to see a video from you. I have a ham steak in my freezer and an assortment of beans to choose or mix, so that soup is on my menu this weekend!
Glad to see you’re back. Missed you. We are moving in the next 4-6 months so I’m trying to use up freezer and pantry foods. We call these Sloppy Jóse with added onion and bell pepper. Now we prefer them this way. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
I'm so sorry for the loss of your Furbaby. Letting go is the hardest part of loving these Babies. On top of our condolences, I wanted to mention that bacon grease freezes beautifully. I keep a small container in the fridge, and I usually have 1 or 2 small containers in my freezer also.
Sloppy Joseph 😂I'll be calling it that from now on. Also, so sorry about your kitty I always loved seeing the baby in the videos. Looks just like the stray that I feed 🖤
Lisa, so sad to hear that your kitty went to heaven. You gave him a wonderful, loving home. He was such a handsome boy. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
Hi Lisa. Great idea with the cabbage unrolls. You gave me an idea. I love cabbage rolls and have made it in a pot with chopped cabbage which was more brothy. I was thinking about making it more like you and wrapping it in romaine leaves after it's cooked so I have a roll. I also think it'll work by putting that filling in rice papers for rolls too. Yummy! You're making me hungry 😊
so sorry for the loss of your beloved kitty. our 16.5 year old cat passed in July and it was heart breaking. It is always so hard losing your beloved pets. Out other cat was sad so we went to adopt another cat and brought home a bonded pair. so now we have 3 cats and a dog. What helped me and my help you is that when our beloved animals leave, it gives us a chance to rescue another. Also, what helps me, is I look forward to the times that i see the animals I've lost in those I adopt. The little things that no one else would notice. I see those things and it makes me smile. Because it is like they picked this animal to be a part of our family so we can have something to keep us company unitl we meet up with the fur babies we lost once again. Hugs to you and yours and thinking of you all.
The loss of a beloved family pet is always a painful tragedy. Don't allow anyone to make you feel that your pain and grief isn't justified. Pets deserve to be mourned, and you and you family deserve the time and space to do so
So happy to see a new video from you! Really enjoy your content and I always get new ideas for recipes. So sorry to hear of your cat. We lost our dog this year and I know how it feels ~ big hugs to you and thanks for your great videos. 👱♀️🫶💕 Cindy
Lisa I love watching your channel. Thank you for sharing. I take all my tomatoes as soon as I know they're ready to turn (or excess.). Put into a pot. Boil them down. Add salt, pepper , garlic powder . Soften. Take my stick blender and pulverize them into a sauce. Then add basil and parsley. Voila..tomato sauce! Enjoy...freeze and no waste...
I'm sorry about losing your kitty. I'll miss hearing her in the background :( I just discovered you recently and have been binging your videos. I love everything about them and you seem like such a genuine person! You've inspired me to deal with my freezer and dry bean/lentil backstock. And i think I'm going to try to make my own tortillas! I go through like a 20 pack every two weeks and they're so expensive for something I keep all the ingredients on hand for. I bake all my own bread and have done flat breads before but never tortillas so I'm pretty sure i could do it. Thank you for these videos!
Oh my gosh.... that sloppy Joseph made me giggle. I know that I've already given you my condolences, but I am so, so sorry for your loss. I lost two of my precious kitties that had been with me for 17 and 18 years a few months back. It hurts so much, and I pray for your peace and comfort. ❤❤❤
So sorry for the loss of your beautiful, sweet kitty....always enjoyed seeing and/or hearing him on your videos.

That's a great price for eggs.
At Walmart, 36 Great Value eggs have gone up to $11.08.
This inflation is ridiculous.

I once made sloppy Joe with Mexican inspired ingredients/flavours, and I called it “Sloppy José” - I thought it was a very funny name for it
😂oh that made me laugh, too! Thank you for that. Truly. ❤@bern84
I made taco mac and cheese tonight. Maybe I should rename it? 😂
