i think bose targetted a different market on this (the outdoorsy type) portability and bose sound qulity is there- the older speaker (og soundlink) sounded better, the bigger drivers it has and frequency offers less brighter and more subtle mid response. the size difference, weight and waterproofing is the take away
thats actually the soundlink 2. the original soundlink was black and the speaker cover was also what the speaker rested on when unfolded. im a bose fanboy, all their products are solid investments!!!!
I think the sound is good for a piece of soap 🧼 sized BT speaker. I have one which I use for apartments while I travel, it’s great ! Today I bought a second one for stereo use, I will 3d print a holder and use carbon pipes to make a portable suitcase worthy stand . So the sound triangle setup is possible. The soundflex is stereo compatible
Wish they added an EQ to it then it'd be perfect. You can request it in the app using the feedback button and "missing equalizer" which I suggest everyone do so we can get an EQ!
Mine does not turn on unless you plug in the charger. I returned it got a new one and does the same thing. It goes into sleep mode and you can not power on until it’s plugged into the wall. Does anybody have the same problem? I want to take it to the beach and it won’t simply turn on.
Is it worth it? How does it compare with your old speaker soundwise?

Gen 2 has EQ but I think that could have been implemented in gen 1 🤔
It's only 3 band and not a huge difference in settings. +10 to -10

@@chadsebesian7203 i have 0 issue on mine- im at virginia beach right now- 2 days straight use atleast 5 hours each day with 0 issues
