On our trip around Scotland we stayed at some of the nicest and unique hotels in Scotland. The drive to Cromlix House from Deanston is beautiful! The cute towns and country side are breathtaking!
Cromlix House is owned by Andy Murray. The grounds around the house are quite impressive. There are 32 acres to explore. We took a walk around visiting the Loch, kitchen gardens and chicken coop. And of course there is also a tennis court. There are also numerous outside games to play!
The house is also amazing! I spent the afternoon exploring and I wasn't disappointed! There are so many nooks and crannies! I certainly enjoyed all of the little touches!
This house had a chapel and that was a first for us! It even had a pipe organ in it!
The restaurant at Cromlix House is Chez Rouz. We ate both dinner and breakfast there. It was fabulous! The restaurant at Cromlix is overseen by chef Albert Roux and run by head chef Darin Campbell. The restaurant is in the glass conservatory overlooking the grounds and offers diners a ringside view of the chefs at work in the open kitchen.
The food is of the highest standards with much coming from the gardens on the grounds. Dining at Cromlix is a culinary experience.
We loved every minute of our stay at Cromlix House! I would highly recommend a stay here!

Thanks for the peak into the Cromlix House. I've recently traced my ancestry back to Sir James Chisholm 5th Laird of Cromlix, who was an interesting fellow. Maybe one day I can make it over to Scotland to visit in person. My husband also has Scottish ancestry, so it would be a once in a lifetime trip.
I REALLY hope that you are able to visit Scotland someday! It was amazing! My (Mrs. Karnes) ancestors came from Scotland! It was a trip we will never forget and we would go back! It was that good! Your drone shot shows the house where I used to live from 1994 to 2000, in the square. Sadly it looks like a lot of the trees have been cut down, and the greenhouses have also been demolished. I could pick my own plums and figs there.
Cromlix House was run as a hotel when I was there, leased to a group of individuals including Kenny Logan, ex-Scotland rugby international. Andy Murray did not have to do too much to it, although the dining and kitchen areas are a huge improvement. He also installed the tennis courts.
I remember seeing Andy and Jamie playing at the Dunblane public courts when he was probably about 12 years old, with their mother Judy coaching them. We were playing on a neighbouring court, not knowing what either of them would go on to achieve, but watching open mouthed nonetheless. They were already very, very good. This would be around 1998.
I had the run of the whole estate, around 25,000 acres of it. Cromlix House was only a small part of it, the rest being owned by the Eden family at the time.
I appreciate the backstory and am glad the video brought back some good memories. It is a beautiful property, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for watching

I remeber Andy buying that place to do it up but never heard anymore about it. Wow, they did a pretty good job on the place. Seems our Scottish tennis hero and the Karnes have exceedingly good taste.
