- At a glance, Deathloop, Arkane's newest game, might seem like its past work on Dishonored and Prey, but Deathloop also introduces new wrinkles to familiar roguelite and first-person shooter elements that might initially be challenging to wrap your head around. Here are the 9 tips we wish we knew before diving into the Groundhog Days of Blackreef.
At a glance, Deathloop, the newest game from Dishonored and Prey developer Arkane, might seem like its past work on Dishonored and Prey. You get an array of varied weapons, a handful of creative powers, and the ability to use them in experimentative and inventive ways to progress. And that's true, but Deathloop also introduces new wrinkles to familiar roguelite and first-person shooter elements that might initially be challenging to wrap your head around. Fret not, though, as we've collected some of the lessons we wish we knew before diving into the Groundhog Days of Blackreef.

Helpful tips: you can earn an extra 2000 residuum per loop by infusing your starting double jump character trinket. When you start a new loop you’ll earn a second copy that can be safely scraped.
Also you can find batteries inside turrets. Deploy one and look at the base from behind. This is helpful for puzzles and cuts down on scavenging.
Every time I’m hearing the word “slab” I’m thinking of Brick from Borderlands.
A man of culture I see
One thing I love about deathloop is that your mana bar regens overtime so you can experiment with your powers more liberally and not have to worry about wasting mana potions. I hope if they make a dishonored 3 they'll use deathloops mana system.
They did it in death of the ousider and it did work well
@@leopoldofp6796 I went on this comment to write that
Shift and invisibility have been invaluable to my runs so far
Being a Dishonored veteran everything felt natural!
If you do infuse the double jump it will give you another one at the beginning of every run. You will have 2 in your arsenal and can dismantle the other one for 2000 free residuum every fresh loop
I was wondering why I had another one of those. Love this game!
Really want to get the game but already got a couple games I'm getting ready to play or buy might have to get this down the road , hopefully it will be on sale by then.
This is the first game in a long time that I'm really excited about. Its a really unique idea and looks super fun. I can only think of Majora's Mask or Link to the Past having this dynamic.
Hades does it well too
All I need is the machete. the one friend that didn’t betray me. The only one left when the sun comes up.
Get infusion first
Thank you for this video! I'm dumb so I can't really grasp what I should be doing in this game
Anyone taking down their own notes while playing? I'm only a few hours in but managed to slay a few visionaries. Just loving the gameplay loop on this one. Quite unique.
Thanks for the video, I was just thinking about if I should buy this game?? 💯⁉️👌
Game is dope so far🔥
It’s like dishonored that’s why I’m buying it 👍
The game seems so confusing. Having to restart when u die is something I would hate
Thanks
Idk if the game is bugged but I love how they narrate deadliest enemies around aka visionaries and I’ve already taken out 3 and every time I’ve found them they’ve literally just been standing there for me to stealth kill or get dead in a few easy shots. What when and where you should be doing things is extremely confusing and far more challenging to wrap your head around than I feel like actually playing the game is.
its not that bad, just acivate the visionary quests.
@@adamvifrye2690 "not that bad" is what you want in a AAA game
damnit... i infused double jump.... wellllll damnnnnn
10: get it on console because the PC port is dreadful.
They even managed to screw up the game's bootup sequence. You get a title card/splash screen that freezes in place while the intro sequence and game progress behind it.
What is it with Arkane and PC games?
How? running it on PC without any issues. get 110+ frams on ultra
@@sadrootbeer Maybe all your components are compatible with the ps5 architecture I dunno. I had to tweak stuff on th envidia panel just to be able to run with mostly stable FPS on my 3070.
@@pickledparsleyparty prey ran well. Then again it was cry engine and not void engine. They need to scrap that engine all together it’s a mess.
no its not having no probs on pc
Take a shot everytime Let's Player Slayer comments
1-9 its freakin awesome 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
The game reminds me extremely to bioshock
Goty
can someone explain why is left hand is always up? even when he's not holding anything. Wouldn't it be tiring just to keep holding your left hand up for no apparent reason?
I can't imagine holding my hand out like that for no particular reason
Nobody holds a gun at the ready 100% of the time either
@@mathewmallie4580 right. Iono why that left hand there all the time bothers me so much
@@ChowFunFoods its not empty either, its always using a slab or hackamajig, or grenade
@@adamvifrye2690 it’s not. There’s a lot of times the left hand is just floating there. Just floating….
Dude it is just a video game no need to be for real all the time just enjoy it
Cant wait to play this when it hits xbox
Don't worry. Dunkey broke the game by kicking everyone.
Nexus is way too OP, no way you'd prefer/choose Karnesis over that
The poor man’s before you buy.
Love the game but i never been so confused in a game.
And i have big problems with the slow look sensitivity.
Hows brstealth doing?
Damn Phychonauts should have been a timed Nintendo exclusive to complete the trinity of platforms that got Microsoft exclusives before Xbox
looks like Dishonored
It's made by the same company so duh
Know that it's a mediocre game. No where near as good as Prey or Dishonored.
Do not be Deceive we are in the last days repent and give your life too Jesus🙏🏽
