your choice of hull shape is very wise as super stable and well protected rudder and propeller, ketch rig, well balanced. when you learn to sail and handle docking youll relax and enjoy, work on you can make it.
Awesome job dun correctly! Took me 2 years 2 complete my S2 24’ blister repair! Hard 2 believe U can fit over 1,000 blisters on such a small surface! Couldn’t buy help with the sanding part! Offered double minimum wage & no takers! WTF! I’m old & it was a lot of work! However, I can bask in the glory of knowing it was dun properly! 3 coats of epoxy barrier coat & 3 coats ablative! She will b good 2 go 4 a few years! Never blister again! Should outlive me! 👍
I think on that side one of the resin layers had bad resin mix and didn't cure from factory properly. With time it started to osmose on just one side. But I can't be Shure
Hi. I am no longer there. Stargazer is finally in the water again. It was a yard called venmar in Amora near Lisbon Portugal. for your information a 32 foot 9 ton boat costs about 80eur to haul out or in, and a month stay is about 200eur. Cheers.
@@reversingentropy interesting, thnx for the reply. I found your video cause I am always looking for the evasion 32. Do a search on sailing under 5 sails with an evasion 32. If you can't find it I'll send you the picture. It's pretty cool. I knew they had osmosis problems and mostly they are overpriced on the internet. May i ask how much you paid pls?
@@reversingentropy No, but I have been following the market on these for about 2 years ; ) they look to me with some extra insulation they could go up to the 60 degree mark.
@@jochemspillebeen3551 sorry did not press read More lol. Yes these boats are very saught after, i was lucky and got ir for a more or less reasonable price. However i have spent soooo much money on it. Instruments new running rigging paints epoxies woods electrical system... It all ads up

No boat has ever sunk from blisters. Like bumps on a golf ball they make it go faster. Making a big hole and then patching maybe not worth it. Paint the bottom and move on.
am sure your a good bloke BUT youve got a mouth that needs soap wash to stop your unnecessary swear words, bad words reflect a dirty spirit, children may be watching .PLEASE.

I appreciate the effort you have made to have it all recorded. Not to mention all the other efforts on your boat ... Well done !
Thank you so much. My pleasure 😁

Of course our glorious ships will outlive us... Because we love them, and spoil them just like children 😁
Good video mate. Atleast next time she is hauled out there will be much much less. I have about 150 holes to do on my 36ft.
Good job!
One hole at the time... Cheers 🍻
Cracking job 😊(that means a very good job in the UK)
Sure hope it doesn't crack. Yes thats right I've got Dad jokes 😂 cheers mate
New to your channel. glad you can make jokes with the and then stuff
Cheers mate 😀
Rookie question- how to you prep and paint around where the boat props/supports are?
The answer is very simple, You have to move them 😆, sometimes you can get away with removing just one support and stand on just 3.
Awesome video - how long did you let the open spots dry before filling them up with epoxy?
Thanks. The process of grinding eliminated all the liquid. In other words i grinded past the liquid layer. Cheers
@@reversingentropy Thanks, sounds like a good way around the drying if you have enough material!
@@Mco998-pf1wi yep. In my case the hull is about 10mm the liquid was about 2 or 3mm deep so it worked out perfectly.
Very well done 👏 ✔️ 👍
My arms still hurt 😂😂😂
Hi just came across your channel and was wondering if you discovered why all the osmosis was only on one side of the hull??

Well done sir, 👏 what is the marina called where you are working? Looks like there are some more project boats there.

What kind of fairing compound did you use
Hi. It was from Hempel, a two part mix, im not sure about the specific reference.
I'll never do that again, I'll pay someone next time.
Hahaha my thoughts exactly but when you have no money 😅😅😅

The only English I am exposed to are American movies and series. I guess it's a bad reference LoL.
