The hard day in America is here in Texas. Our Texas state version of the Russian Duma is ruled by the Republican political party, who pass laws to favor their best financial campaign supporters like the National Rifle Association who promote the sale and ownership of guns. Gun control in Texas is minimal. Buying a gun is easy. They made it easy for the 18 year old gunman to buy 2 high powered assault rifles. Hard to believe isn’t it. We vote in November and we will replace the Republicans.
Valeria, I think the dacha communities are nice, even if small. I have lived my whole life ( except when I was 5), in a rural community. I really like rural life. I was the daughter of a poultry farmer, and married a dairy farmer. Same community . I did not go far, as I retired as a nurse, from the same hospital, where I was born !
I love this kind of thing! I'm fascinated to learn how other people live. Having a Dacha is like how the Canadians have "cottages", isn't it? The better off you are, the better your cottage/dacha. If I were living in an apartment all the time, I would think that the time spent at my dacha would be something to be looked forward to!
I agree with strake750, I would love to visit your lovely country someday. All too often Russia is portrayed as being very cold and not all that pretty, but I see it through your videos and it is quite to the contrary, it is beautiful, through all seasons. Each, season, having a beauty all it's own. The icy trees of winter are every bit as beautiful as those bursting with buds and blooms in the spring. As that I am 62 years old chances are I will not make it to see this gorgeous land with my own eyes, therefore, with all my heart I thank you and Alex for the many videos wherein I get to see what you see daily. Would it be possible for you to sometime, somehow, show us some of the wildlife that inhabits the forests around your area? I'm sure it much the same as ours but I do love to see the woodland creatures of other countries. Take care of yourselves and be safe. xx
Happy Birthday Valeria, God bless your year ahead!! You , and Alex are so generous for sharing your daily life in Russia with your world wide friends!! Peace, love , and hope for you both!!!
Best regards from Munich. I am just learning Russian and browsing for Russian language videos to learn Russian better. That's how I came across your channel. I also watch your channel for about 1/2 year. I like it very much, even if you speak English and less Russian. It is very stimulating for me to hear about life in Russia. I like it very much. I like very much your positive thoughts and your attitude to life. Love also to your husband Alex. :-) I always like it very much when you ask Alex what the day brings today. I already understand everything in Russian. These are such small successes for me, here in Munich. Love greetings
It is so pretty there in your Mothers dacha. Her garden is big and that is a good thing these days! The village also is lovely! I would like to live in such a place if I lived in Russia. Aren't the new green trees blooming so beautiful this time of year? I just love spring. I live in Northern Ontario and we had such a long winter that we are about 2 weeks behind. Happiest Birthday wishes! Usually high fences are for privacy. UA-cam does not post dates on video's anymore. I wonder why that is? To have a 2nd home like your Dacha means you are are upper middle class. Many of us cannot afford this in the USA.
In Russia in Soviet time these pieces of land were given for free, so if people have now, they just often inherited it, sometimes even very poor people have it.
I found selling things or plants or food on the chair like that is the most adorable thing they do in the village. Just wondering, how will people put the money ? And will they get the basket with the purchase ?
Having an apartment in the city and then a Dacha out in the country makes wonderful sense. This way, people can live in the city where they work, shortening their daily commute, but they can go out into the country on weekends. Middle class Americans often live in distant communities an hour drive from where they work in the city. These long commutes waste time and fuel. But the mentality in America is that this is the only way to have a place to go outside the city is to have your only house there. Your way is much better.
Thank you for the explanation about the fences. I do not like being closed in. I'm now curious if the average person is able to own a place like in the middle of nowhere? You know off grid. Being the largest country on Earth there's lots of land.
