I feel so lucky to have come upon your channel lately. You are the real deal and your calmness helps me to pay more attention and learn. Your a great teacher and your good at what you do!
@AgentTilly no reason why not ... I'm not very big on strict make-up rules. Colour should inspire and come from the heart ... if you love green eyeliner then wear it! x
@ColouRaya you could do the outside (winged) bit of the liner looking absolutely straight ahead with your eyes open. Then once they are closed do what ever it takes to join that up to the inner corner .. it may be that you apply each eye differently but once your eyes are open they look well matched - if not identical. Sorry its hard to explain what I mean. You may also need to apply it thick across the entire lid but it wont have this impression when open. Most people's eyes are asymmetrical x
She's worked for Shiseido before and has formulated makeup for that brand, which is specifically for Japanese customers. I honestly don't think she was stereotyping skin types rather than speaking from her own personal experience as a makeup artists. Just my two cents.
@jennivier I start with wiggles and circles right at the roots (they are quite big circles so may look like they are twirling forward) then I usually zig zag out slowly. A couple of goes like this and then finish off with a few straight forward sweeps along the length usually works well. You need to lower your lashes to get them into the curler x
Lisa i absolutly love this green colour and i think the whole makeup look is sensational. i really love your videos and makeup looks theyre amazing and so inspirational. Much love, Kathryn xox
I adore the way she makes really intense makeup look simple and effortless. If i were to explain this look to someone they would tell me it completely unwearable but when you look at lisa it seems so cute and simple, not overdone at all.
@natb4u18 its dries very fast. You also have to shake it every now and again to keep the flow going (if you are doing such a dramatic look I mean ... for basic lining you wouldnt need to) x
She said that A LOT of Korean and Japanese women have oily skin, which isn't really offensive, and well it's not exactly a stereotype either. I would've understand your comment if she'd said something that was actually offensive and/or racist, however she didn't. Please think a little before you comment such things.
With quite a few of your tutorials I start off thinking "she's brilliant, but I bet this is the ONE video I'm not going to be as impressed with as all the others". But EVERY single time by the end of it I'm genuinely in love and running to my makeup table. You are an artist.
@livingglam11 I noticed that Collection 2000 has a very similar chunky marker style liner called '24 hour felt tip pen' but I havent tried it yet. They have some really nice colours including a great Teal , think its about £2.99 worth checking out me thinks X
Geez, oversensitive much? How is saying MOST Koreans have oily skin (a scientific fact and a completely neutral observation!) be offensive?! It's as if I was offended by saying "most Germans are blond," just because I happen to be brunette. Also, I have oily skin, what do you consider so awfully offensive about that, should I be ashamed of my oily skin?!?
@kittycat1021 it definitely didnt crease at all but it did need shaking every now again to keep the colour flowing. If you just did a regular line it would be ok but as you can see, I put A LOT on lol X
@freeleafinthewind cheat it by lifting up the wing before you get to the outer corner... start to take the wing up as the eye goes down, if that makes sense x
@martina14890 thats ok... for me its more about a spirit than a definite look (the spirit of experimenting with coloured liners).... I didnt expect everyone to like this look. Thanks for watching and for commenting intelligently and politely x
@l3azique not really ... the best thing to do is top it up. The fact that you are getting a good few hours wear is already pretty good, I seriously dont know any that last perfectly in that area for 12 hours etc x
@MrLopezgeles I got the one I used in the liquid blush video from gurumakeupemporium (see their website)... it was No2 Carmine. I havent looked for it on the Sephora website. You could always send an email to gurumakeup and double check with them that their site is correct x
@Lilizilla they only sell No7 skincare in France. I dont think they ship internationally at the moment but you could check their website Boots.com. Again with Suqqu brushes, they only sell them in the Far East and UK. I think Selfidges department store does ship internationally but you should double check the shipping charges etc.... they are already expensive you dont want them to become even more so! X
I really, really admire the way you speak! You're a great speaker and a brilliant teacher too. You're not overly bubbly and excited like a lot of people on youtube and everything you say seems so thought through yet unrehearsed and natural. And you're not boring either! I think you're absolutely brilliant Lisa! Thank you so much, you helped me massively with so many things
@MrsAliceFaye aw...you seriously dont need to copy it exactly My hope for this video is that it inspires you to maybe try a different colour or experiment a little with shapes. Dont give up on it, try again with a less dramatic shape. Thanks for your comment Alice X
@BettyBoop3451 you could try it with a bronzey shade or a shimmey golden chocolate ... that would tone in more with your skin tone and wouldnt 'jump' out as much x
lisa, this is absolutely, completely, totally amazinnnng! I've never seen or heard about a more creative, original, and talented make up artist (: every single video impresses me more and more
@therandomusername thats usually the case when you first start doing these types of look ... hence the need to step back every now again to see how its coming together. If I'm doing a strong look like this on a celebrity or model and can see them thinking what is she doing ... I just say dont worry, it will look amazing by the end lol! X
Love this! The color is gorgeous with your eyes, and the eyeliner shape is chic and modern. With this one, your eyes look beautifully brown, and with that gorgeous smokey purple look you did a while ago, your eyes looked beautifully green. These sorts of looks really demonstrate the power of makeup to enhance and emphasize different things!
believe it or not, you are helping me get thru exams. i tell myself, "ok finish this chapter and you can watch Lisa's video!" and it helps me focus so i can hurry up and watch your amazing tutorials!! thanks Lisa xx
Lisa this look is so cool and so now! I love it ! but what is so amazing is how symmetrical you got both eyes,so that slants on each eye matches up at the same angle, especially when your looking straight on,and the inner crease lines are also beautifully matched! this really turned out beautifully! I always get them a bit off!
i love the simplicity off all you're looks. before watching you're vids my makeup was always wayyy over-complicated, but now i save a lot of time & look better with simpler yet elegant makeup.
Every time I don't know what makeup to wear you post a video! You gave me a great idea for tomorrow, we're taking class photos. I really appreciate what you do here on youtube, posting just for the love of makeup and not for money. You are my favourite makeup artist and I would be thrilled to meet you one day.
I've had such a awful last two days and seeing you've made a new video has cheered me right up! Lisa please do a video on make up suited to really pale skin,I have not got a clue on colour/what to avoid and what compliments the skin.I find you so inspiring x
Omg when you first started I thought, "this is so strange, there is no way she is going to make it work" but it looks SO GOOD. Every one of your tutorials is unique and turns out beautifully - it is amazing!
@melissainthecity i'm seriously on the case with this. I had a model all set to come and film with me a while back but then she couldnt make it at the last minute. Need to try to set up again soon x
IT'S SO NICE TO SEE THAT SOMEONE USES SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE URBAN DECAY OR THE TOO FACED SHADOW PRIMER. LOVE YOU LISA, SERIOUSLY YOU MAKE THE BEST TUTORIALS EVER
I actually saw something similar like this in a magazine, about a year ago. It was really nice, they used pink eyeshadow and black eyeliner. I tried to do recreate that look but it never worked out. I'm totally gonna try it again after I saw this! I think you are really good at explaining what you do etc.
So happy you're having this tutorial up, when I saw the picture on your Twitter earlier I was really hoping you would do a tutorial, it's absolutely stunning!!
I love that you play with makeup looks and encourage people to stretch their wings and try new looks. I think it's so great for a womans confidence to just sit down and try different makeup looks till you find the ones that work for your face shape, just like trying on an armload of clothes to see what styles work on your body type.
@UYMBSAM at your age, anti ageing is just about protection so any moisturiser that contains an SPF and some anti-oxidents (most decent ones do these days) will be perfectly adequate. Sun damage you avoid in the coming years will help u to age beautifully .... dont stress enjoy your youthful bloom ; ) X
i feel like you'll really make a good doctor/dermatologist. your calm voice and your steady assessment makes me feel so calm and informed! and sometimes you sound like a princess its absolutely lovely listening to you. :)
Lisa you are truly amazing! You have such poise and elegance and class and a real talent! It's such a pleasure watching your tutorials. Not only do I get great ideas for new looks but your voice is so calming! You are a beauty
it´s been a pleasure watching and listening to you explain that gorgeous make-up. i honestly wish my eyelids were less oily to pull that one off. absolutely brilliant!
I thought this was going to be very overpowering when you started, but once you finished both eyes, it looked quite beautiful. Loved the green colour as well. Thanks for another creative, new and fresh makeup tutorial Lisa. Xo
@Arwaabdulla I did do a 'basics' video about concealer quite a while ago. Have a look it may be helpful. I like benefit shadows but havent triend the eye pimer yet x
It always amazes me how beautiful you look in so many different styles of makeup, it truly inspires me to take a few risks! Lovely video, as always xoxoxo
I really love this look, and for once I have both the Inglot eyeshadows, yay! I'm so happy to hear that No7 are doing a BB cream for normal to oily skin because I tried the Garnier one and I was quite impressed as it looked better on my oily/blemishy skin than I thought it would but I had to powder it, and any I've seen or heard of seem to be aimed at dry skin so it's nice to know that there'll soon be one available for me! xx
I'm not gonna lie when you first started drawing the eyeliner out I thought it was going to look strange but when you got finished I absolutely loved it! Beautiful job!
this is so creative and beautiful!! and I'm so glad you mentioned the Une Sheer Lips Balm - I've been using it for ages and never see anyone on UA-cam talking about it.
Lisa, I absolutely LOVE this look. I love liquid eyeliner anyways. Wear it almost every day. It looks amazing, sophisticated but different. You are a genius and you absolutely know what "normal" woman want to wear - to work, uni etc. Thanx so much for this inspiration!
Wow your eyes look huge in the most beautiful way. Seldom seen people wearing olive eye makeup. So beautiful that I am crying now
That look is one of the more outstanding applications Lisa has done for herself.
I feel so lucky to have come upon your channel lately. You are the real deal and your calmness helps me to pay more attention and learn. Your a great teacher and your good at what you do!
@AgentTilly no reason why not ... I'm not very big on strict make-up rules. Colour should inspire and come from the heart ... if you love green eyeliner then wear it! x
OMG. That's fantastic!! I'm always scared to try new eye liner designs, but this video has kind of taken that anxiety away.
I was truly hypnotized by looking at you in this video doing such an outstanding piece of artwork on your eyelids.
how beautiful! you always go for nautical looks, and it is beautiful. but I think a bold look is also really spectacular, and makes your eyes pop!
@ColouRaya you could do the outside (winged) bit of the liner looking absolutely straight ahead with your eyes open. Then once they are closed do what ever it takes to join that up to the inner corner .. it may be that you apply each eye differently but once your eyes are open they look well matched - if not identical. Wow it actually looks so gorgeous at the end
@mwinie you would need a very pigmented shadow that works well wet to achieve the graphic shape... could work though with the right pigment x
Lisa i absolutly love this green colour and i think the whole makeup look is sensational. i really love your videos and makeup looks theyre amazing and so inspirational.
Much love, Kathryn xox
@LiveLikeaPunk it darkens a little as it dries... also if you keep going over and over it as i did it gets darker too x
such a cool look. you are soooo gorgeous! such an inspiration! I watch you religiously everyday!!!!! #muchlove
I adore the way she makes really intense makeup look simple and effortless. If i were to explain this look to someone they would tell me it completely unwearable but when you look at lisa it seems so cute and simple, not overdone at all.
Would be a good Poison Ivy look!
@natb4u18 its dries very fast. You also have to shake it every now and again to keep the flow going (if you are doing such a dramatic look I mean ... for basic lining you wouldnt need to) x

Very 60's... Need a beehive!
@Jazillia no it would definitely be more of an evening look for me personally x
@kruzsanna prestigue do good drugstore ones ... do you have access to that brand? x
It's amazing how much the liner changed the shape of your eyes!
i always use dark olive green. love it!! makes my hazel eyes pop!
@MrLopezgeles I got the one I used in the liquid blush video from gurumakeupemporium (see their website)... it was No2 Carmine. I havent looked for it on the Sephora website. You could always send an email to gurumakeup and double check with them that their site is correct x
I love how professional your videos are! It's like watching a beauty show!
That green is STUNNING with your brown eyes. Really flattering. I have to try this.
@Lilizilla they only sell No7 skincare in France. I dont think they ship internationally at the moment but you could check their website Boots.com. I really love this look. I must say that the olive green eyeliner actually makes your eyes appear more green.
@MrsAliceFaye aw...you seriously dont need to copy it exactly My hope for this video is that it inspires you to maybe try a different colour or experiment a little with shapes. Dont give up on it, try again with a less dramatic shape. Thanks for your comment Alice X
By far, the best glam make up Ive ever seen on youtube, and I have seen "many" videos. No one has quite achieved this type of look. Thank you
@brennaspapa haha no problem I understood what you meant! Thanks x
I feel so honoured that you let us see all this hard work and creativity from you. Thank you. xxxx
@KlassicVic wow! That's praise indeed! Thanks so much. Did you read the post about Kevyn on my blog this week? Have a look x
@WiggleIsWiggly aw thanks for your lovely comment x
@BettyBoop3451 you could try it with a bronzey shade or a shimmey golden chocolate ... that would tone in more with your skin tone and wouldnt 'jump' out as much x
lisa, this is absolutely, completely, totally amazinnnng! I've never seen or heard about a more creative, original, and talented make up artist (: every single video impresses me more and more
@thegoddessguide it was the Leighton Denny one x
@therandomusername thats usually the case when you first start doing these types of look ... hence the need to step back every now again to see how its coming together. Quite OUT OF THE BOX! The green really makes brown eyes pop. Love this.
I absutely love this, your eyes look amazing. I don't think I can carry this off as I'm much older with very hooded eyes x
@melissainthecity i'm seriously on the case with this. I had a model all set to come and film with me a while back but then she couldnt make it at the last minute. Need to try to set up again soon x

My 5 month old daughter and i are watching this together, starting her early! Love your videos xxx
@Arwaabdulla I did do a 'basics' video about concealer quite a while ago. Have a look it may be helpful. I like benefit shadows but havent triend the eye pimer yet x

@vittoriab76 my ring is by Solange Azagury Partridge, I've had it for about 5 years and I love it. Thanks X
this gives your eyes such a nice shape and really makes them sparkle!
I love this look, Lisa! Your eyes look so big and bright like this. Just fabulous!!
When you 1st started with the liner I thought OMG she's gone mad! But the end result is stunning! Thank you for the idea and inspiration x
