When I had my Mandolin it came with very light strings easy to play on the finger tips but not a great volume or sustain. So I tried Dean Markley medium strings and my Mandolin came to life . Played it at Church leading worship for 4 years and never had to replace them , cheers 👴🏼🙏🏽🇦🇺
I used D'Addario XS Mandolin Strings and got all my fellow mando players hooked on the XS and XT strings. They last forever too. I also use the D'Addario XS guitar strings on my Octive Mando since it takes ball end strings and is electric. You wont be disappointed.
It is so beautiful to see the love you show when you talk about Jesus. We are literally not welcome, and yet you, with all the sweetness in the world, declare this love for everyone to see. One of the reasons I watch your videos, of course the content, but mainly how much your sweet voice and gaze shine and make the presence of Jesus and the Holy Spirit within you clear. Your channel has been a way for other people to also see our wonderful God. Your statement is so beautiful, may the peace and blessings of the Lord be with you always.
"We are literally not welcome"? What could that possibly mean? Welcome where and by whom? Persecution complex much? I am a recent subscriber to this channel, and am saddened to see the proselytizing here. I am as of now unsubscribed.
@@c.a.t.732 I think you misunderstood. We Christians are not welcome in this world because we do not belong to it. It is written that we will be hated for the love of Christ. However, we should still be the salt of the earth, that was the line of reasoning I followed. It would never be offensive. Emma, as I said, reflects Christ in herself through her manner, and her musical content is also very rich.
@@c.a.t.732 I hope you have understood, and I invite you to learn a little more about Christ. He loves people and has a genuine interest in getting to know them. He is your best friend when you are feeling down, or the best listener to a joke. I have never met anyone like Christ, and I hope you can get to know him.
@@Patrick_1r "It is written we will be hated for the love of Christ"? I suspect that no one hates you (I certainly don't) but it's clear that a persecution complex is very important to many Christians. It feeds into the notion of not being of this world like the rest of us, which of course you actually are. You're really not as special as you think. I was once refused service at a self- proclaimed "Christian business" (Jesus-fish in the ads and all) simply for having a different religion. I made a decision then that I would never again patronize a business that waved that flag in people's faces, which I sadly realized today this channel does. So although I love the musical content, I've now unsubscribed and won't watch it anymore. Music is, as the saying goes, a universal language, and it's too bad when it's used to divide rather than unite.
@@c.a.t.732 Data from the 2024 World Watch List (WWL) shows that 13 Christians are executed every day because of their faith. This is the data, and the same events have occurred throughout history, they are just not publicized for the convenience of the media. I understand what you said, but I want you to see it from another perspective, please. The Bible, which is our manual for how we should act here on earth, tells us that we should be imitators of Christ.
Hiya Emma, Strings: Try D'addario EJ67 Nickel Steel strings, 11-39s. They are a little brighter than the phosphor bronze and have a good projection, but they are a lower tension. This means that they are easier on the fingers and would be benificial for beginners in that respect, but alltogether good strings to try for anyone. Tunings: At the moment I've re-tuned one of my mando's to Cajun tuning, which is tuning down a full step from gdae to fcgd which is slightly mellower and also a little lowet tension. I got this tip from Baron Collins Hill. I hope that these may help someone to try something new, thanks Emma, David.
Thanks very much Emma, I hope that you're feeling better soon.
