No jealousy, I'm very happy you were able to build the thing you wanted and share it with your family and friends (and the internet). I've enjoyed watching your channel and it's been both fun and educational and I got both of those for free! Cheers!
This is my favorite series on UA-cam, the quality of the build, explanations and commitment is amazing. We have been blessed to be part of your beautiful Sunday pond family.
I was laid up because of surgery when I discovered your videos on UA-cam. You had already aired a couple of videos of the 5 acre pond build. I found your videos very interesting, so I went back and watched your previous videos to catch up. I haven’t missed a video since! I can hardly wait two weeks for a new video to come out. I really enjoy your content and your narration. I used to love to hunt and fish, but I’m now disabled and have a hard time getting around, walking on uneven ground is almost impossible for me. So I watch a lot of hunting and fishing content and get my pleasure of the outdoors through others. I enjoy seeing all the wildlife and watching you catch the bass and seeing the bass continue to grow. Keep up the great content, I look forward to every other Sunday evening to see a new video. God Bless You and Your Family! Ed, from Kentucky……

My pond is a small wildlife pond made out of a child's paddling pool dug into a few feet of dirt, and laid onto a bed of sand. Obviously not big enough to keep bass in, but it's brought frogs, toads, birds, and even the occasional snake into the garden. Whilst I love your five acre pond project, a wildlife pond can be practically any size as long as your aim is to provide habitat for aquatic species to move into.

This has been such a great series and as stated in this video cost is based on location, soil, etc, etc, etc. I just love the fact that this family is so dedicated to nature, and along with this pond it's clearly creating more opportunities for every native species in the area. Great video, and thank you for this breakdown. I was estimating $1M and was glad to be off by $500k. If you have the clay it becomes a lot more affordable.
in the YT universe, and his past-to-current subscribers and views, $500k isn't anything for costs. Now that he's at 1mil subs, there will be plenty for future projects...
Thank you for explaining the pond build. You went through a lot of work to get where you are today, but from the sounds of it, it was a labor love and a dream you had for a long time. I have enjoyed following along and have look forward each and every improvement you have added to the area. And by building the pond you have made a anchor point for all the wildlife living in and migrating through your area. I love the wildlife updates and seeing your family grow and enjoy what you created. Keep up the good work. Love your channel. San Diego, California.
From memory, I first came across your pond channel when you were lining it with clay and I watched because in Australia, anything outside your backyard is a dam so when I saw you were building a 5 acre pond, I thought it was pretty weird ..... I've been hooked ever since and eagerly look forward to your videos dropping.
This has been an amazing journey so far. I have loved watching along and seeing all the wildlife moving in as the project progressed. I am more a Koi carp keeper than a Bass man, but the way you present the video's each week makes them interesting and educational. I caught the first one by accident and have been hooked ever since. Thanks for sharing this project with us all and looking forward to seeing what comes next and who is moving in.
I am a civil engineer orignally from the south but now work in southern California. I can tell you that i do this for a living every day all day and your numbers are insanely cheap compared to california. This is a 5 million dollar project in San Diego County.
Living in the deep south has its advantages, especially if you can find a way to make an above average income. Cost of living has to be multiples cheaper than southern California where this pond is located.
I've sure enjoyed watching you build this pond and I'm pleased to see bigger bass living in it. Sorry about the weather you had. It sure beats some of the blizzards I've seen.
I've watched it right through the start and enjoyed it immensely! The work and thought that went into the process boggles the mind!! If I could do it though, I think I would stock mine with Northern Pike and Walleye, 😅 Thank you for sharing the costs though, my wife and I have talked about what the cost would have been quite a bit. I know that could be a touchy subject with everyone sharing their opinions...but just remember, there's only 1 opinion that matters, that's yours. It's your project, and as long as you are happy that is all that matters. Thank you again for sharing your project!!
Bama, I've loved this series from the beginning! I always wondered how you were able to afford such a project. Honestly I expected an answer like I got old money, or business ownership or something. The true answer is so much more wholesome, props for having the talent and drive to build your channel to this size. Glad I could be along for the ride! Keep up the awesome content!
he mentioned be an engineer or EE in a previous video. Yeah, that money goes a long way in Bama. then his high-quality vids got the views to get the algorithm going. Once it was off and flying, the sky was the limit. He's still ascending! 1mil subs! He'll be at 2 mil before we realize it.
I had a similar dream about having my own bass pond. I got a master's degree and wrote novels in hopes of funding that dream. it did not pan out, but it is nice to see evidence that it can work out now and then for some folks! Fun series of videos! It brings a smile to my face each time I see a new one.

I’ve loved these videos for a while now. My twins are now old enough to ask if there’s a new pond video out. It’s so cool to share this with them. Just want to say thank you for everything you do.
All I see since I started watching your videos was that you’re a hard working man who’s building something for your family & that’ll be there for generations ❤
BAMABASS may God keep providing you and your family this much and more! Know that many of us were worried about you bc u were not posting your weekly video! You have given us hours and hours of solace and joy.
I truly am grateful for your channel, it's been so entertaining and educational. Not only for someone that would love to have a pond of my own someday, but also for someone that absolutely loves fishing. Watching your videos has actually made me a better fisherman since I can watch how your bass are acting and see the same ideas around the ponds that I like to fish. I've even ran into a few fishermen out on the lake and when we get to talking, I always refer them to your channel. I'm sure a few of your subs are people that fell in love with your channel as much as I have 😁
A bass pond was never in my retirement plans, I am not a fisherman. I found your site through watching some youtubers that got backyard aquascapes ponds. I really love how much wild life it attracts. Now I am thinking hmmm maybe.
I started watching this channel and other pond contractors’ when I had the idea of having a koi pond in my backyard. They helped me gathering ideas for the type of build, budget, and maintenance etc. I ordered materials online & from home stores before digging. The build (mainly the digging) took two of us (woman in 50s & man in 60s) and two seasons (1 fall and 1 spring, unexpected tree roots from trees over 100 years old). By late spring of the second year, the koi fish and hyacinths were in the pond! It was pure joy watching the fish swimming, hyacinths blooming, and water falls (simple waterfalls in the beginning and later bog filters) running. Shortly after that, birds, frogs, groundhogs, raccoons, deer, hawks, buzzards... all started to come to our backyard. That’s the house project we’re proud of and enjoyed the most. The young family that purchased my property a couple of years ago also loved aquatic stuff. The husband always had a dream of owning his own pond, according to him.
Every dollar put in this land was well worth it!!! This land and water will be passed down for many generations imagine the crazy party’s their kids will have here haha
Thank You for this! Wow, excellent information! NOBODY ever does this! Lays it all out! I leaves the person watching incomplete. This knowledge only enhances my enjoyment. Your first video on the pond build popped up on my feed one day. Even though I live in an apartment in New Jersey, I truly enjoy these types of videos and learning the difference between builds like yours and various koi/ backyard ponds. Thank you for sharing the cost of the various elements of the build. I feel sharing this information was quite personal, but it’s wonderful that you felt comfortable with sharing it with your BAMABASS family 🙏 May you and your family have many amazing years with this pond ❤
Appreciate you giving such a thorough breakdown of the build. I’ve been watching your channel since the first pond in your backyard. This channels become one of my goto channels, I’ve watched every episode/video. You’re one of the few creators who keeps a consistent schedule, and always goes above and beyond on all of your projects. I know things happen, but it gets frustrating when you watch a project for months, and the content creators suddenly stops midway to start on something else. You guys have earned every penny earned on social media, it’s awesome to hear you’ve been able to fund all of this from your content. I assumed this much, but didn’t know for sure. See ya in the next video, 🙏🏻🇺🇸.
This is the type of content I LOVE, super informative, talks about the highs and lows unbiased. Also, it's clearly not a choice, Hennessy Raptor over the pretty golf cart 😉

I completely enjoy this entire series. My favorite part is how much you do for the animals.
Always a great Sunday when Bama bass post
Ouch there goes my dream own the drain!
I thought the cost to build this was close to $5 million, especially considering the amount of clay he had to truck in.
That’s bc CA sucks
This pond build has been an absolute joy to watch. Thank you for following your dream and taking us along for the ride.
I've sure enjoyed watching you build this pond and I'm pleased to see bigger bass living in it. Sorry about the weather you had. It sure beats some of the blizzards I've seen.
This has been my favorite series on youtube, thanks for sharing with us!
Don’t forget, they are our memories too. Thank you❤
I used to watch your bass videos when I was in Jr high and now I’m an adult and this is still one of my favorite channels.
Congratulations on all the success Bama Bass! You’re a hardworking family man, I have so much respect you!
1mil subs! He'll be at 2 mil before we realize it.
it's practically an investment now. I'm sure he'll eventually be making a profit off this pond build.
Haven't ever missed an episode really look forward to seeing everyone ! Thank you for all the very interesting and informative videos !
I had a similar dream about having my own bass pond. I got a master's degree and wrote novels in hopes of funding that dream. it did not pan out, but it is nice to see evidence that it can work out now and then for some folks!
Fun series of videos! It brings a smile to my face each time I see a new one.
Electrician vs scholar ….. interesting how it works out considering the cost education
@@glass1258 I believe he said he was an electircal engineer? That is a college degree where I come from.
@@Darbobski And that in and of itself is the problem.
Most every electrical engineer I have ever met was self taught or had a long working apprenticeship with no loans ect~
@@CoalCoalJames Electrician, yes. Electrical engineer, no. My best friend is an electrical engineer. We roomed together at the University of Platteville.
Folks are confusing a trade with a degree-based profession.

Been a fan for a long time. You are both lovely, genuine people! I can't think of anyone who deserves this pond more than you two! Anyone who is jealous can just go backlash their new reel.
Been here for a long time now, feels good to know I practically built a pond now
I started binging the channel a week ago. After hours of watching, I started searching for the episode on this topic. Couldn't find anything and gave up.
Speak of the devil! Good timing!
I have watched this entire series from start to finish. I travel through Alabama a lot for work and every time I do I wonder exactly where this pond is just so I can drive by and see it for myself. Thanks to you and your family for this content it has been awesome watching it!
I have Amish friends we visit in Alabama and I keep telling them about your pond and how we should go see it!!
I came into the series just as he was wrapping up the build. Had to go back n watch all of em from the start to catch up. Great series. I watch a bit of the older content too, but I really enjoy the 5 acre pond.
you are thankin us viewers for support , but me i'm personnaly thankin you for making those videos
yes and i thank you for thanking Him.😀😀😀
I’ve loved these videos for a while now. My twins are now old enough to ask if there’s a new pond video out. It’s so cool to share this with them. Just want to say thank you for everything you do.
Me and my family watch this every time you release a video you inspired us all to love pounds and wanna create one of our own
All I see since I started watching your videos was that you’re a hard working man who’s building something for your family & that’ll be there for generations ❤
BAMABASS may God keep providing you and your family this much and more! Know that many of us were worried about you bc u were not posting your weekly video! You have given us hours and hours of solace and joy.
Pond owner did all the work.
The sky wizard didn’t do anything.
The program is uploaded biweekly... not weekly.
Same as I came watching backyard fish pond
So I was having a ruff night and was looking for a video to end it on a positive note. Thank you for being that note!
Every dollar put in this land was well worth it!!! This land and water will be passed down for many generations imagine the crazy party’s their kids will have here haha
Until the kids inherit it, don't work the land. Mortgage it to buy a BMW, then lose it to the taxman.
Thank You for this! Wow, excellent information! NOBODY ever does this! Lays it all out! I leaves the person watching incomplete. This knowledge only enhances my enjoyment. It brings this together and connects the dots. Again, thank you for sharing this info! Funny thing is...before your video...I always just thought it was...dig a hole and fill it with water!
This has to be my favorite series on UA-cam, thanks for the awesome videos.
This video answered many questions, thank you very much for being so transparent about this amazing project! I hope one day I'll be able to bring my 3 girls out to fish it!
Your first video on the pond build popped up on my feed one day. Even though I live in an apartment in New Jersey, I truly enjoy these types of videos and learning the difference between builds like yours and various koi/ backyard ponds. Thank you for sharing the cost of the various elements of the build. I feel sharing this information was quite personal, but it’s wonderful that you felt comfortable with sharing it with your BAMABASS family 🙏
May you and your family have many amazing years with this pond ❤
Thank you, Bro 🤲🏼❤️❤️ 19:07
Well it's about time! The episode we've all been waiting for!! 🍿👀🤑🤑
Arkansas-born boy here... I appreciate what you have worked for, Bama. Cheers!
Crazy to see how far the pond has come since two years ago!
Hell even $1MM seems on the cheap side. Bravo.
I’ve enjoyed watching from the beginning of the construction of the pond.
I never cared how much it cost to build the pond. I just enjoyed the videos.
This is the type of content I LOVE, super informative, talks about the highs and lows unbiased. Also, it's clearly not a choice, Hennessy Raptor over the pretty golf cart 😉
I love to see people afford things that bring them joy, without harming others.
just a pleasure to keep up with you and your family during the pond build. Thanx
The Mr.Beast of Pond building
Not a good comparison my guy😂
@@dinho890i in the aspect that he reinvests everything from the videos into his content lol, not all the other controversies haha
I remember the first few videos planning this Bass Pond, I thought Huh? what is this guy thinking of doing. I have continued watching from the first plan, to the digging part and so on. Now I am like HE DID IT, SOB DID IT!! You inspired so much of us now. We cannot wait for your project planned for a much bigger pond. Thank you Bamabass.
It’s not hard to sense that this man is genuinely a good humble man. May God continue too bless him and his family in the MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AMEN🤝🫡
I’ve had many hours of entertainment watching your content, you have in my opinion one of the top 5 best channels on UA-cam and is my #1 favorite channel. I want to thank you for putting out great quality clean entertainment, which is very hard to find these days, I truly hope you continue for many more years.❤❤
It’s worth every penny
How much did you put in ?
@@markvanderstelt8999 my two cents lol 😂
Haven’t missed a single episode. Thanks for 2 years of entertainment
Holy hell this is the episode I waited for for 2 years. Literally why I followed lol
So what was the total cost?
@@mixedmartialanarchist6469$500,000
NO WAY for Cyber Truck. You know whether you mentioned price or not. People are gonna be envious and negative and critical and all of that stuff, so we're very happy to know how much it cost and so happy that you're blessed to be able to do it and share it with us. 'Specially since it's been worth it I think course I didn't pay for it 😅
I've been watching every week since around the time you were putting the clay down, so pretty much the start. Thanks for the entertainment.
The money part was never a interest for me
I just love the videos
Man it’s been such a fun ride watching this!!!! Can’t wait for more!!!!
Mr Beast is already under scrutiny for using those spinning wheels for entry of prizes. Those are considered gambling. I'm not trying to be negative and I really enjoy your channel. Just don't want to see you get caught up in some type of civil litigation
Why would you even mention a cringe channel like mr. beast here
that's the American way. You get successful and someone sue's you
Amazing explanation and we have watched everyone from Auckland New Zealand. The best dam by far bar none! Thank you all.
Thank you for sharing what I think was just your own, personal information, and something I'd never ask for - and yes, it's great to both support and watch you build this spectacular sanctuary!
Such an awesome channel. This is what UA-cam is all about. I look forward to these videos every time. Thanks for sharing. Cheers my friend
I appreciated the transparency here. Thank you.
Putting the structure in and building different types was def my favorite part
