Looking forward to your upcoming projects. I much appreciate your low-key, no BS approach to restoration at home. I’ve learned a lot from you., and was so disappointed when you had to go back to your “real” job.
I have missed little Walter, I hope he is well. Great new car can't wait to see more of it. I am an old guy, a couple of years ago I sold my all original 96 Bronco with standard shift because it was sitting more than I was driving it. I ended up with an old XJS Jaguar convertible that I love dearly. It fits my old guy lifestyle.
Hey, great to see another video. The truck turned out well and I like the reason to sell it. Well done. I also hope Walter is well, and Woof to him. Thanks.
Great job. Hope to see some work/maintenance videos on the 912. Would like to see more videos from you…..even these short ones. I know your back at work now.
As an FJ Owner its hard to see that go but enjoyed all the content you created with it. It helped me a great deal with my own restoration. So happy to see you went back to Porsche too! Win, Win!
As always, it's great to see a video from you Jerod. I think you wrapped up the FJ quite nicely. Sweet 912! I'm looking forward to seeing future videos - especially videos about the I3. Keep them videos coming!!!
Great to see you having a video up, it’s been a while…. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the 914. I KNOW you won’t be just drive it without upgrading and tweaking it to make it your own!
thank you for the video's of you rebuilding the FJ40. @JerodHelt I was wondering where you got the TBI cover that you used to connect to the the air cleaner housing.?
I looked all over for that thing and in the end I just made it. I bought a sheet of metal from home depot… rolled it to the two diameters I needed and welded it together. I put some seam sealer on the inside of the weld and painted it black. I used some edging material I had left over from the Fiat build to help the bottom seal. The top fits into the air cleaners stock seal. I originally thought about modifying some coffee cans to make the two “tubes”. I still think that could work but I used a small metal roller to make them.
Dude... great minds think alike. I just picked up a one owner 912e a few months ago. Looking forward to vids on yours. I'm trying to find a registry of 912e ownership (not 912's). Please let me know if you are aware of one. Thanks!
The 912E, being from Oregon, probably has some issues, and I look forward to any work on it. Did it come with the 1700 or a 2 L? I have a 1700 withh baby Dells in my '72 Bus, and a well tuned one loves to rev, and will run all day long at 400 rpm very happily. Best wishes.
Bro, I just binged watched all episodes. So disappointing you had to pull the engine for a rebuild. Honestly you silently talked me out of doing this. If you could do it differently what would you have done?
If I did it again I would buy one with very little rust that doesn’t need to be painted. I don’t mind rebuilding engines but I’m not a fan of body work.

🥳 Congrats on finishing the project. It did turn out quite nice. Your replacement is pretty sweet too.

Sorry to see it go but I have found your videos very informative and helpful for my ‘72 project. Thanks
Nice work! Love the channel! Congrats on the 912.
Wow that 912E looks so much you👍😎

Looks awesome
That is a solid unit. Love those.
Looking forward so much to 912 videos
RIGHT ON! I had a ‘69 912…albeit not quite the same as the ‘76 with its T4 motor. What are the plans for the ‘12?
I mostly just plan on driving it. These are great road trip cars
I miss some video about the fuel injection, I was curious to know how it performed. Good challenge.
This is the video for the fuel injection: FJ40 Restoration (Episode 21) - New Fuel Injection

I really like this fuel injection kit I’ve installed 4 of them so far. The other 3 were on jeeps.
5:10 totally normal honda acty driving by haha

It has the 2.0 L with the original fuel injection. I have to keep it all stock to pass smog here in CA. It runs great and gets good gas mileage
Is it really finished though?
They’re ever really finished
Walter doing OK?
Walter is good. Thanks for thinking of him👍
