I actually really enjoy the game for giving me a little adventure that lets me relax after all the stressful work at university. Might be because I am as casual as a gamer could get and more into the lore and characters of games but especially because of this, Let's Go is perfect for me. I love how they explained little things in small additional cutscenes that felt before like "Oh, the roadblock suddenly poofed away." I love how they fleshed out Team Rocket with some more unique members and made Giovanni show more personality. And I especially love how your Pokémon truly feel like companions with the interactions between you and your starter and the other Pokémon you can take out to follow you, it's so cute. the rival thing is super lame, they have been doing this in most of the new pokemon games each time your rival becomes less of a rival and more of a friend. It really gives you no reason to fight them but hey you have to because they are .... Nice?
And they will not stop. They said that they made the old ones more mean to give personality and now that they have good animation they dont need,I dont like this bullshit.
@@Mclucasrv ya, gone are the times of developing as a person through tough times and struggle. You know it's bad when video games are reflecting the caudeling dumbed down version of our society.
I would love for another rival character like Blue to eventually become the champion and constantly egg you on throughout your journey, setting a benchmark for you to keep up with and giving that sense of satisfaction from knocking him off his high horse.
I'll never forget the first time I EVER heard of Pokemon back in my middle school days. My library got a new Nintendo Power Magazine with a Pokemon Preview Guide and Comic... i ripped it out of the magazine carefully. And this was a time before the internet made it super easy to know what games were coming. So i was the first in my grade if not the city to find out what pokemon was aide form the other nintendo power subscription kids in my town. I read that Preview Comic and guide cover to cover for a month getting more excited for the launch of Pokemon in the US. The Christmas happened and I got a Gameboy and Pokemon Red for my Xmas Present. Pokemon was such a cool phenomenon to play as a teen, i made new friends, traded pokemon and enjoyed the anime with friends. It actually helped me to be social with others. So to see a Successor to Red and Blue as Lets go Eevee and Pikachu warms my heart and makes me wish I had a Switch T_T
I remember hearing / watching other kids play in school (and this was when animation just started) and saving up all summer to buy the red version… the walk home with the game in hand was probably one of the happiest memory I have
If they want to do sinnoh remakes they'll most likely do it after the gen 8 games come out. Then you'll have a sinnoh that has way more pokemon in it than the original games did. Because why would you want to waste the sinnoh remakes on pokemon go spinoffs.
I just started playing explorers of sky (having never played a game in that franchise, my girlfriend mentioned that was her favorite). Jesus Christ, that game is slow. Am I missing something? Is that really the best one?
This video has reinforced my belief that it is totally okay and actually normal to jam pokemon games in my 30's. You kick ass and I look forward to more pokemon content
I completed the game, I didn't really even need a lot, only excluded Pokemon like Bellsprout and a few others like Meltan, all in all, a pretty fun experience.
Jirard, sometimes I feel that you hold yourself back when criticizing a game.... Not that there’s anything wrong with being in Nintendos good graces, but I would like to hear more complaints of the game, too.
SSJ Muffin that’s actually really hard to do unless you might be able to gain revenue in other places. Also Nintendo used to have a really tight grip on reviews before. It used to be you couldn’t even see much really time Nintendo stuff due to copyright issues.
He will only complain about something, if it is worth complaining, i don't know what do you think is bad in Let's Go that he absolutaly needs to talk about, but every bad thing about the game was said in the video, he just had more good things to say about the games and i totally agree with him
Things he "didn't like" too much about the game that I gathered based on watching the video: 1) leveling up the pokemon to beat every master trainer was too tedius 2) the motion controls are okay but not amazing 3) playing with a 2nd player was too easy 4) the rival was really bland character-wise 5) suggestion that the pokemon could have had the voices from the anime 6) difficulty with the pokemon leveling grind when you run out of money/pokeballs. I think he did an excellent job of voicing these criticisms without being a jerk about it, it makes it easier to watch. I'm wondering if you wanted him to be more stern, or perhaps he just didn't dislike the games in the way that you may have disliked them?
"The Combat mechanics are mostly the same" No. No they are not. Abilities, Held Items, EVs, Proper IVs... those are all gone. As is breeding. Its not an intact system. It's a butchered one.
@@joshualamm3621 How is it QoL? they got rid of a lot of features that were in FRLG. Surprised they also didn't get rid of the special/physical split too, since that wasn't a thing until Gen 4 and Special was 1 stat in Gen 1 too.

Damn it, Jirard! I was doing everything in my power to not buy either of these just because I already have way too much going. But being someone that put many hours in on the original red way back in the day, I would love for the even the smallest chance to get that feeling again. I guess I am going to be buying one of these. Thank you for all the videos. You and your team keep up the great work!
as a 29 year old, i grew up on Pokemon red, blue and yellow. be able to revisit these games in a HD setting was absolutely incredible. I loved this game. more so then sword and shield.
This was the first Pokemon game I played since Soul Silver (which I never finished). I always got so fed up with how linear Pokemon games were (and how tedious they were ex: wild pokemon battles and having to grind to level up your pokemon), but when Pokemon Go came along, I found myself actually enjoying a Pokemon game again. Then when I played Let's Go Eevee, I knew I found the perfect medium. That replacing the wild battles with just throwing a pokeball and being able to see wild pokemon fixed 90% of my problems with these games. LGE will be the only Pokemon game I own, but it's the only one I like so it works out.
As a lifetime fan, I get why people didn't like this game. (The game corner was my biggest gripe) But after putting it off for months and giving it a shot. It was pretty fun and hella cozy.
The Mighty Gooch Same! I got it a while ago and played it for a bit on the same day, then left it until a couple of days ago. It was actually pretty fun when I picked it up again, and I'm so glad I did.
I never cared about the catching mechanic. I knew we were just waiting for a Gen 8 announcement so my brain immediately went with: "Hey, look! A game to help my child start her own Pokemon memories!"
Honestly I think "okay" is the one word that discribes Let's Go best for me personally. I agree, it is very lovely in presentation, the fact that HMs aren't a thing anymore is neat and they did a great job in somehow make me care a lot about my evee but that's kind of it. I played through it, caught mewtwo and left it there. I suppose it is because I am not a huge fan of Pokemon Go in the First place and because of that I hate the way you "train" your Pokemon through just catching wild ones over and over again. I hate the catching mechanics and Pokemon Abilities are gone for some reason. Pokemon was never hard to begin with but they still managed to make it seem even more easy. They made me almost feel insulted by how easy and on the nose they made it. Everywhere I had to go, everything I had to do, they always felt the need to have an NPC, usually the super lame rival, to point me exactly where I had to go. So yeah, in the end, it felt kind of like playing Pokemon yellow in a fancy dress. It looked nice, the whole Pokemon following you around thing was nice and the music was.. fine, I guess but in the end I never really felt fun. It didn't feel like a great journey and I never had the feeling that my Pokemon where this special to me, since I caught so many of the same species. Also, and this is probably the most personal problem of mine, I am so done with Kanto. like, since X and Y came out they focus on nostalgia through kanto Pokemon so much that i got annoying.
baliyesterday Your X and Y stuff at the end is exactly why I’m refusing to pick this game up. As a Pokémon fan it hurts me to miss out on a release, but as a Pokémon fan I know I have to not buy a game to tell them how I feel.
Great video the things i typically enjoy most from these videos is mainly how you play the entirety of the game and inform me of what it has to offer. Keep up the good work
I know it's waaaay late for Jirard, but for anyone wanting to complete these games to the same degree, keep searching for hidden items in the underground tunnels. The items respawn after a certain amount of time, I believe, so you can always have something to sell for money for pokeballs
It’s so nice to hear someone else enjoy this game like I did/do! I’m a diehard Pokémon fan and it breaks my heart a little that everyone dislikes this game so much. Eevee is one of my favorite Pokémon, which helps, but I just found it to be a fun little neat experience, and a great casual time. It’s not meant to be a main series game. It’s almost a spinoff of sorts. But people are so frustrated by the lack of difficulty and the simplicity. And to that, I just have to say... is the difficulty really what makes playing Pokémon games fun? For me, it’s building a team and traversing a region, growing together in strength and experience, and completing the Pokédex. This was also the very first game where shiny hunting was actually feasible for me, too! I’ve got 9 and counting, which is easily my favorite part of this game. I missed Kanto and giving it my love one more time will never feel like a waste to me. Yes, the game could be more challenging and have more features/post game, but I still love it for what it is, and find myself going back to it for some relaxing, mindless fun. I’m very excited for Sword and Shield (Sobble Squad!), but I imagine I’ll still pick this game up from time to time. If for nothing else to give some love to my Eevee partner, Teddy ☺️
The problem is, none of what I enjoy about pokemon is here. I enjoy all the different pokemon options, the RPG elements of fighting wild Pokemon, and the abilities
That is exactly my problem too. I want to feel the need to get this but it just seems to be a glorified version of Pokémon go for $60. Which I am ok with as a concept but I’ve never been a collector of Pokémon, and with good reason. I played alot of Pokémon gen 1&2 back in my kid years, and never had anyone to trade with. Which was extremely frustrating for my Pokémon yellow years as I couldn’t get my still favorite Pokémon Raichu. I could come soo close to completing the Pokédex but be missing a fee because no one played them anymore or didn’t have the link cable. Turns out that I had missed out on the fact there were more Pokémon games I hadn’t even heard of until I saw someone playing heart gold or soul siver on a system I never heard of at the time. By the time I got my legend of zelda ds light Pokémon black was well out by this time and the internet service was closing. So this time I was stuck with some Pokémon I didn’t care for, no Raichu, and no way to get new Pokémon. Fast forward to my 3ds years I can finally trade Pokémon online on Pokémon Y. By this time I found it a pain and not all that much fun, especially since even to this day in ultra moon wonder tradings is filled magicarps. So my opinion is abit skewed but I just can’t get into the whole gotta catch them all. I’d rather battle them all and catch a few. Namely legendaries
It's has nothing to do with the main series. It's like Stadium, Colleseum, Dash, Puzzle, TCG, Mystery Dungeon, and Ranger. It's a super casual spin off. Sword and Shield are coming.
I only wish that the Switch touch screen was able to support stylus touches. That's what made it easier to play with and pet your Pokemon in the 3DS games.
I (20) played Pokémon all through my life. I played the original yellow at an age where I probably didn’t understand it, and the games grew with me until I was frustrated with the 3DS games being, well, too easy, and I never really had the patience for competitive. I really did not like Pokémon go when it came out, mainly due to the fact that the gameplay was ... no gameplay, and both my hardware and the place where I live didn’t want to cooperate. And it kinda felt like a cash grab... but it was just not my game at all. I’ve tried to give it another chance when Let’s Go came out, but it still has like nothing that would motivate me to play. And now for this game. Oh jeeee. I was exited for it to come out, and it and a switch were top contenders for my Christmas present to myself... I said were. Because I am super disappointed. It looks nice. For sure. It’s has cool features. Definitely. But it’s just, and I am speaking for myself, everything I didn’t want it to be, and nothing what I wanted it to be. I know it’s to introduce younger people and make it easy, but... you start with a perfect Pokémon. The gym restrictions are... an interesting choice, and the additional features to yello.....oh wait! What are they? Compelling online things? Nah. Something that is really original or interesting? Nah. Okay, I am complaining. I know, it looks good and is probably fun to play. But to summarize, and again. My opinion. If you think this is the best Game ever, I do t mind, I am happy for you! But, it looks like what i wished for on the beautiful beautiful outside, but the inside is too much Pokémon go and not enough fighting and grinding to finally find that Pokémon you are searching for. It successfully made me feel that sweet sweet nostalgia, but in a way that my inner grandma yells “Back then everything was better” and makes me grab my DS life and fire red cartridge. (sadly yellow didn’t want to boot up). I think I will be back for the original game for the switch, and hope I can actually battle normal wild Pokémon and maybe have some more variety?
Plus the soundtrack doesn't help things. RBY and even FRLG had a real kick to their soundtracks, so when you're in Viridian Forest it sounded like you could be lost there, because the music was a bit intimidating. There's very little incentive in this game outside of Meltan and it's evolution. I also find the rematches boring, because Gen 1 means most GLs are going to use the most predictable Pokémon possible. The only trainers with possible variety are Misty and Koga, because there's so many Water and Poison Types. In HGSS and B2W2 on the other hand, I loved to re-battle the GLs, because you didn't know which Pokémon they may pick, as they could have any Pokémon up to Gen 4/5. I love seeing their teams progress from the usual "Brock = Onix, Golem and fossils", which is something similar we've already seen in Pokémon Stadium. Yeah I know Alolan Forms exist, but not many GLs get them, because there's only a few to pick from. I know that limits can be a good thing, as it forces you to be more creative, but this is just such a lazily developed game, with hardly any thought behind it other than "Post-game = grind". It honestly feels like they were going to add a post-game story in at some point, but dropped it and just left the grinding.
@21:30 the video cut to a commercial. And omg the timing was perfect. I happy expected the video to just end there.. Right when he was saying goddammit the commercial started and it would have been a funny ending.
Ah the old "this rival is lame" line these games get. Well, problem is: all of these comments are coming from people, who are veterans of the pokémon games. But here is how did I experience him, as being a new player: Yes, Trace is a friendly guy, but personally I didn't have too much problem with that. I'm already encountering enough jerks in my life, so I didn't mind, that I didn't have to deal with such things. However... I could also argue with the statements, that people say of "he doesn't make me want to get stronger". Well for me, it felt like as if he was trying to be too handholding, and so that was the force, that made me want to get stronger. I wanted to show him, that I can take care of myself, and I don't need him backing me up so much. Heck, the game even proved me right, when I was approaching Victory Road, and he said "I always felt like I needed to protect you". Kinda like a force pulling me backwards, that needs to be dealt with, so I can be free of it. Kinda felt like as if the developers were trying to guide me and make me feel comfortable with the concept of playing pokémon. Up until the point, where I've became champion, Trace said "Okay, I'll admit it", and the world "expanded" on me. Kinda felt like as I've proved myself, and the game has finally released my hand, becuase now it trusts me, that yes I indeed can take care of myself. No more handholding needed, as I'm now ready for the next adventure, that is Generation 8. I think, you can only truly appreciate Trace, if this is your first game in the series (even if you are already familiar with pokémon). I've loved pokémon ever since I was a little child, but never actually had the chance to play a single main series games. Let's Go is a nice entry level game, with a nice entry level rival, to prepare you before going into the more complicated entries in the franchise.
@Weston Thomas As he mentioned in the video, this is on the localisation team, not the development team. The localisation team probably DO know about him, and so it probably IS meant to be him. It's not that far out there.
I'll always love your announcer energy Jirard, but if there's a game you should review that you'll enjoy its Pokemon Ash Gray. You get a cocky blue who's headstrong and rude af. You also get endless events from the tv series. Very well done.
It's a lot more common since the world trading element came into play. Basically half of my gen 4-6 pokemon have it. It spreads to other pokemon by having a pokemon with pokerus in your party and winning a battle.
Thank you, Jirard. I was contemplating getting this game along with a Switch. Your video helped me make the decision to sit this one out. I've been around since gen 1, been to Kanto more than enough times. I mean heck, Kanto was in 4 gens in a row! Yes, I'm counting the gen 2 and 4 part too. Rivals have been getting softer. I loved Gary/Blue(or Green as he's really called) because his attitude was my drive. I wanted to be better than him and in the end I was! But now? I mean, with how all gens said the player won because of their love and compassion, and Let's Go bashing the rival for it, I get the feeling this gen's "perfect trainer" is a mute with a face painted on that only gives their first pokemon some clothes and treats the rest as pretty much fodder to be replaced. You don't EARN a pokemon via battle most of the time, just chuck balls and hope for the best.
Have you ever considered playing Danganronpa? Its kinda like LA noire but with a much bigger focus on the characters and murder mystery gameplay. It has one of my favorite stories in all of gaming and I'd love to see you guys check it out on the Completionist or Super Beard Bros.
@@QuizMasterEntertainment I would argue its actually alot easier to complete than most modern games. The campaign is like 20 hours and aside from that the game has supports but those are pretty short as well.
Man, I never stopped playing Pokemon. I play through the 3rd and 4th Generation on a yearly basis just for the nostalgia alone. But I still remember how I caught a Shiny Pokemon when I was 10 years old. Literally never saw a Shiny since then again…😅
Some leaker on the internet says that your next video is about Smash Ultimate. A guy called, Matpat, the Game Theorist, or something along those lines.
It took me a month to defeat the story, the Pokédex and I won't keep going until I can get that shiny Mewtwo!!! Also, I named the rival Maroon since he was going to get Eevee.
I like the idea of removing the randomness form encounters and i dont mind the stupid go mechanics for catching pokemon even if i would prefer to battle them instead, but i am not going to bother if i can't have even items and abilities to add a hint of complexity to battles and make me thing a little before attacking. Jirad said it's just a sandwich place no longer offering your favorite chips. I think this is a poor analogy because it assumes that these mechanics are separate from battling. It's more like they have that Italian sub you love, but one day they start using a different sauce on it. It now tastes pretty off to you. It's still an Italian sub, but it's not the same sub you came to love.
pious83 Yeah and Mega Evolutions and Alolan forms didn’t exist either. Also co-op wasn’t in Yellow; in fact it’s an entirely new mechanic that has never been in a mainline Pokémon game before. But that’s just something to think about.
pious83 I honestly don’t understand why they were cut. It’s not like abilities or items were mandatory for your Pokémon adventure. If anything, they were completely optional. One could go through the entire game without ever having to read what an item or ability did. The same applies to breeding. It’s just baffling to me that Let’s Go can be considered a gateway game into the mainline games despite it barely teaching any of the more complex mechanics that will show up in gen 8. Heck the new mechanics that is does teach might not even reappear in gen 8. Its design seems to completely counter its purpose.
That's super awesome that you got immortalized in a Pokemon game, Jirard. Seriously. That's so cool. I'm John so it's never been hard for me to find trainers I'm named after, but you get to be an ace trainer forever. Rock it.
The divide on the opinions on this game is so interesting. There is the camp that is really in love with the yellow remake and the new mechanics and those who happily pass on another trip back to Kanto and want more of the core Pokemon experience. By this time I don't even think there is a happy middle ground between the "hardcore" fans of Pokemon and the new model. Which is funny because this felt like an attempt at a merge between the two.
I'm sadden by what Let's Go gave us cause it could've easily been a game for everybody. Sure many would've scoff at the idea of going back to Kanto again (like me), but if it was just a simple remake in the vain of FRLG, then it would've been amazing. As for the whole controversy, It's all GameFreak's fault cause they decided to make those baffling decisions. I still can't understand how Let's Go are suppose to serve as gateway games into the main series when they don't even teach any of the complex mechanics. All they have are mechanics that might not even reappear in gen 8.
Merging hard-core and casual fans never works. Sometimes hard-core fans might enjoy a casual experience, I consider myself a hard-core Pokemon fan but I like these games. But I can't remember a game where it succeeded in merging casual and hard-core players.
I mean, I'm a "hardcore" Pokemon fan, played them all since Blue came out. BUT I did not play Go, because I don't like cellphones, and I don't own one. Let's Go Pikachu was a blast, it has a wealth of content, a ton of battles with an updated AI that makes trainer battles more like fighting a real person, and design decisions that I really hope stay for the future. Actually seeing pokemon in the overworld is a dream come true, and no more random encounters which is a godsend. The game is much more about team building and it manages to make the world of pokemon feel alive and real. Plus, the battle system isn't bogged down with Z-moves, and an over-abundance of megas. I miss Abilities, but its a good return to form with the awesome special/physical split from Gen.4. I really wouldn't mind if Let's Go became a series because it's super fun. Its a shame people are passing on it because I feel its the best version of Kanto ever. I don't understand the mentality of skipping this and waiting for the "real pokemon game" it sounds childish and short-sighted. We don't even know if Gen. 8 will be good but we're gonna take your non-experience with Let's Go as gospel for why its not a "hardcore" pokemon game? I'm gonna continue to play every main series pokemon game (That includes Let's Go) because they're fun games. And no matter how much you wanna hold other entries up on a pedestal, Pokemon has never been "Hardcore".
it's so weird.. this would have been a great opportunity to get older fans into the newer mechanics from the newer games that maybe we passed on instead they did the opposite. they put in a few things everyone always wanted, but gutted the important stuff. They "dumbed it down for kids" despite kids being the only ones who can handle the complexities of the real games. and you can't throw balls gud while playing docked...
Also, I think there's a perfectly good explanation for why only Pikachu and Eevee actually say their names: the names themselves. While Pikachu and Eevee have the same names all around the world, most other Pokemon don't, and with all the different language options, that would mean having to record multiple cries for nearly every other Pokemon, which would've been a lot more expensive and taken longer to do, thus the game would've taken longer to be released
That is awesome to hear Geralt(do you prenounce it like that?) for getting in the game! You deserve it, i feel you're one of the best ambassadors when it comes to gamers and completing games in general! So good for you that you got honoured for it!
@@snuggie1849 The thing is, with fewer rare Blades remaining, less of a chance you have to get them. And, considering KOSMOS is already the rarest Blade (even if you didn't pull one yet), if KOS MOS is the last Blade remaining, the chance of getting her is the lowest.

the rival thing is super lame, they have been doing this in most of the new pokemon games each time your rival becomes less of a rival and more of a friend.
So, counterpoint, rival does not mean enemy. A rival is a competitive peer. If they were just dickish trainers, then they'd just be team X badguys.

I also used to read those pokemon preview inserts and would obsess over the walkthroughs even though I didn't even have the game.
I remember hearing / watching other kids play in school (and this was when animation just started) and saving up all summer to buy the red version… the walk home with the game in hand was probably one of the happiest memory I have

He just had his name immortalized in a video game. I doubt he cares about fans demands at this point. he is living the life.
SSJ Muffin I believe he said in the Star Fox adventure video he tries to find redeeming qualities in any game.
I named the rival “not blue” I think the name is quite fitting

(The game corner was my biggest gripe)
But after putting it off for months and giving it a shot. It was pretty fun and hella cozy.
The Mighty Gooch
Same!
Gotta Complete them all!
Right 😂
Honestly I think "okay" is the one word that discribes Let's Go best for me personally.
I beat all the gyms and lost all motivation to play :/ still very enjoyable experience tho
baliyesterday Your X and Y stuff at the end is exactly why I’m refusing to pick this game up. As a Pokémon fan it hurts me to miss out on a release, but as a Pokémon fan I know I have to not buy a game to tell them how I feel.
Take a shot every time he says Pokemon in this video
Great video the things i typically enjoy most from these videos is mainly how you play the entirety of the game and inform me of what it has to offer. Keep up the good work
I know it's waaaay late for Jirard, but for anyone wanting to complete these games to the same degree, keep searching for hidden items in the underground tunnels. The items respawn after a certain amount of time, I believe, so you can always have something to sell for money for pokeballs
Kalos was my first Pokémon experience so I found this game new and refreshing
I’m already imagining the beast that’ll be Smash Ultimate
;D
? Not too much content compared to other games coveted
Honestly, I'm a little surprised the Switch didnt come with a stylus by design.

22 years later, and we still "Gotta catch 'em all!"
Well, not any more with Sword and Shield...
Gotta catch some of them
I (20) played Pokémon all through my life.
Ultra sun and ultra moon are kinda difficult. Would reccomend those.
@@akeemtaylor8375 Pokemon U.Sun and U.Moon are in no way difficult. They pandered to little kids just a little less than let's go did. That's all.

Right when he was saying goddammit the commercial started and it would have been a funny ending.
Ah the old "this rival is lame" line these games get.
Well, problem is: all of these comments are coming from people, who are veterans of the pokémon games.
But here is how did I experience him, as being a new player:
Yes, Trace is a friendly guy, but personally I didn't have too much problem with that.
Only complaint and it's nitpicking: why isn't your Master Trainer not a hiker with a big beard?
crcoghill it was probably just a localization team thing. They probably weren’t allowed to or don’t have the skills to change models.
@Weston Thomas As he mentioned in the video, this is on the localisation team, not the development team. The localisation team probably DO know about him, and so it probably IS meant to be him. It's not that far out there.

-100 points for Ace Trainer Jirard not having an amazing beard
Necropost: Blue and Green are not the same character (at least in this game).

The thing is though Items and Abilities didn't exist in Gen 1. So technically these games are on point in that respect.
pious83 Yeah and Mega Evolutions and Alolan forms didn’t exist either. Also co-op wasn’t in Yellow; in fact it’s an entirely new mechanic that has never been in a mainline Pokémon game before. But that’s just something to think about.
+Andy Le Basically they cherry picked from the mechanics what they wanted to use. Items and Abilities simply didn't make the cut.
pious83 I honestly don’t understand why they were cut.
+Andy Le Perhaps it is intended as a gateway into the mainline series, as they will be made on console?
That's super awesome that you got immortalized in a Pokemon game, Jirard. Seriously. That's so cool. I'm John so it's never been hard for me to find trainers I'm named after, but you get to be an ace trainer forever. Rock it.
Imagine if that trainer wasn’t supposed to the completionist and just some producers nephew
Ooof
6:57 any one else notice his character was named "Completeboi"
Terker2 if it was an attempt to merge the two groups, it was a poor one tbh.
And no matter how much you wanna hold other entries up on a pedestal, Pokemon has never been "Hardcore".
it's so weird.. this would have been a great opportunity to get older fans into the newer mechanics from the newer games that maybe we passed on
instead they did the opposite. they put in a few things everyone always wanted, but gutted the important stuff. They "dumbed it down for kids" despite kids being the only ones who can handle the complexities of the real games.
and you can't throw balls gud while playing docked...
Im disappointed... you didn’t Get all the shinies...
jirard well done on getting into this game, it is a big accomplishment. well not as big as doing every single one of your videos but still very big.
Do you think Girard is man enough to complete Xenoblade Chronicles 2?
There would be quite some rage and tears coming out of him...
* Flashbacks Trying to get KOSMOS *
Girard?
JIRARD
@@jowysw lol i got super lucky and got her not even halfway through the game, i knew she was super rare even tho i never played a xeno game
@@jowysw wow didnt know that, i got her late chapter 4, most of the more common rare blades i didnt get till after i beat the game
For those who wondering the Game Grumps reference. Master trainer of Gastly is Arin, Master trainer of Haunter is Danny and Master trainer of Gengar is Ross.
I can only imagine your face when you saw your name mentioned as a master trainer, and then see your pokemon of choice pop out as the master trainer's pokemon. You probably had to set your controller/switch down when you did.
17:00 *goes after seaking, pinsir appears* love that transition xD
I still want to see you complete Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate or Generations Ultimate.
That'll keep you busy a while :p
Evan Czarkowski YESSS
He’d probably complete World if anything tho 😕
