Our fleet shop had the air system go down.. manager picked up sets of Milwaukee tools like this and the 1/4 inch.. we used then every day for over a year without any problems. . They worked so good i bought my own set for home.. much better then snap on, or dewalt.
@@jayhakim3524 jay the Dewalt did not last a year . Have less power and weak battery life. . Trust me we tried those first because the price was less.. i was so impressed with the Milwaukee i bought my own set, not really wanting to spend the extra cash..

@@jayhakim3524 I used to say the same til I used a new 1/2" Milwaukee with the one-key. I swear by my 120$ 1/2" Porter cable (made by dewalt) that I use daily at work on about 8-10 cars a day. I've gone through 3 in the last 3 years but I figured out the triggers go bad, found a trigger source and just buy new triggers now once every year or so and solder a new one in. Dewalt does make some dope ass tools, but the first time I used an m18 Milwaukee, I was sold. They're powerful as fuck. Me and my buddy were removing pitman arm and idler arm nuts with them without even removing cotter pins. The only complaint I have with the Miluakees is the weight and price but you get what you pay for. But even then, a few guys at the shop guy the 1/2" stubby cordless impacts and they pack a hell of a punch and are the size of a cordless 1/4" impact drill. I love both.
I have always been a Dewalt fan. Because I bought my first set 8 years ago. 20v brushed type hex impact and drill. I still use them every day. Not a single problem. A guy I work with let me borrow his Milwaukee 18v fuel impact just like yours and I was impressed. I don't want to invest in 2 battery systems but I bought a Milwaukee M12 heated jacket for those cold Ohio winter days. It works awesome. I have since bought a M12 3/8" ratchet and some other tools. I am switching jobs soon going to Ohio Cat and I think I will make an upgrade to M18 tools starting with the impact you have. Thanks for the review!
dewalt is awesome. We have a 10 year old cordless thats gone through 2 sets of batteries in that time and the oldest one still holds a charge, tho not for a full day
Same here. Tried tightening a pitman arm nut with a full charge 20v dewalt and the nut did not budge. My buddies 18v fuel turned it 3/4 more and tightened it up. Next day I went and got one with a 12.0 battery and stripped out a pinion yoke nut.🤘😎🤘
I never get bored so long as someone else is doing the work ! haha Bought the same impact wrench and battery in big part to seeing you use and liking it. I love mine. Changed all 12 chopper knives in my forage chopper and all the knives on my 13 foot discbine. All on the first charge ! Needed 2 foot extension pipe on 2 foot breaker bar to loosen the first knife. Said screw it , didn't have impact sockets yet , but took all the knives out with the Milwaukee and regular Craftsman 15/16 socket. Worked fine and didn't hurt the socket either. Am going to buy proper impact sockets though.
You blew my mind. I just purchased a 1 inch impact gun, now I need to find a portable air compressor that can produce at least 10cfm, & 120v, light enough to carry to my truck (which is impossible). I am going to just buy your tool now
I bought a pair of IR impacts 15 years ago, they didn't last long. My disappointment was awful, I thought the first was a fluke, the second I attributed to current production standards. My father's were old when I was a kid and are still going, I'm 40 now and bought mine in my early 20s
Just got me one today, thats a 1000 ft-lbs fastening torque and 1400 ft-lbs nut-busting torque. The model is a 2767-20 1/2". I purchased at home depot for $250 the bare tool, bought two batteries and charger that included a free tool and carrying bad promotion for $200. Hope this safe me from the hell I went through the other day removing tires on the side of the road with a torque multiplier. I can still feel the pain on my back from all the heavy manual labor I had to do, just removing that tire.
Ear protection my dude, it is a must. I use same exact ven 2 m18 gun and same 33mm snap on socket to remove 22.5 wheels off transit buses. And the noise is just u bearable. Thanks for the video and save those ear drums.
Yes, That 1/2" high torque Milwaukee is the top of the food chain for Impact Guns. I have the EARTHQUAKE and for what I do it works well. But someday I will upgrade. Great Video JC
I was looking at the earthquake but ended up finding the same milwaukee as in the video with a 5 ah battery (no charger but I already had one) brand new online for less money than the earthquake.

I have never been a fan of dewalt and its their fault cause they never honored a warranty so when I went back to milwaukee it was ok what next but after getting used to a bit heavier tool, I never looked back. Yup..the 2767 is a beast. Pair it with the 9.0 vs the 5.0 and itll last much longer as well. I've owned mine since it was a fresh release from Milwaukee. Use and abuse it daily just like all my Milwaukee Fuel Series 18v tools. They just keep asking for more. Great video JC. Well JC no one can ever say you don't get your money's worth out of your tools, this is my kind of review one where the tool gets used and used good,unboxing are nice but they don't show me how well a tool Wil do and how much punishment it can take gong thru it's paces I am actually a Milwaukee impact fan after seeing my buddy put his thru the paces with his mobile mechanic buisness,he loves it, are they cheap no... but they aren't the most expensive either so I think they are good value for the dollar and I like to spend my dollars wisely. Having a tool do what you need to do and not have to wait and wait for a battery to charge because the first one ran down is worth its weight in gold
I'm invested in DeWalt batteries and chargers but every drill I've purchased in the last 3 years has been junk. Definitely switching to Milwaukee when the current DeWalt dies.
Awesome from Milwaukee! That 1/2" high torque is model # 2767 I think milwaukee rates it at 1400ftlbs in reverse. I own it and love it, can't go wrong! Great video y'all.

you will not regret it, I went to junkyard today to pull control arms and shocks I had a lot of fun randomly losing the hell of every nut or bolt I see it my way on other cars, I can scrap a full car in an hour not kidding, I am just not believing the power of this impact

Why did you pay so much for it? Bare tool only cost me $209. Already had the 9.0s but those are $125 ish depending on whose sale you hit. So around $350 if you buy the 2767 kit.
@@SuperScooby70 Im not too sure other than it was right before they came out with it in full swing. Thats what I was told that by a grainger employee. Also im in Louisiana they tax everything as much as they can. Plus Grainger is expensive to begin with.
Gotcha....yeah we have Grainger here in Iowa too. Definitely not my choice of a place to buy tools thru. They are certainly proud of everything they sell...lol. I got mine thru a local contractor supply house that I've bought thousands of dollars worth of other Milwaukee tools thru. I do get a decent discount there as well. Haven't paid full price for anything there in years.

i want a lot of things too. the problem is someone always wants it more than i do and will pay me more! i bought a 2012 international 4300 the other day. i might put it on that or a kenworth t300 that i have.
if you get it with my key, you can use the app and adjust the torque settings of the 4 separate modes. I wouldn't bet my job that if you set it to 450 ft-lbs that it'd be dead on, but it'd be close. you should always go back with a torque wrench anyway.
Once you switch you’ll never go back. These milwaukee’s are amazing. From what ive seen and tests that i have seen others do, it outperforms snapon, which isnt really a suprise to me.

I work on forklifts, did about 20 PM’s on forklifts by removing the tires with this impact & the 12A battery, only used 2 bars. Quite impressive from Milwaukee, my mid torque Milwaukee can break them off too, my old snap on 1/2 couldn’t even move them
Wait till you get the Milwaukee 2868 with a 12.0 battery. Get it with the D handle as it weighs 27 pounds. Milwaukee is all I use, so I love your channel.
I have one and it’s pretty nice but it needs a power upgrade. Overtorqued lugs and corroded studs stop it dead in its tracks. I’m hoping Milwaukee will come out with an updated model in the near future since Ingersoll just came out with one.
That's amazing. I've been lucky to do a hand full of screws with a 1/4 inch Craftsman with the old type batteries, I've not got to really try my new lithium with it.
just bought this impact factory reconditioned for $159, excited to see what kind of stuck bolts it will break loose. Will never use the air impact again.
Ingersoll Rand is a much better tool. More break away torque and more fastening torque. Another reason why I love Ingersoll Rand is because they think about the small details. Like their shadowless led light. The ability to set the Shadowless led as a timer with different brightness settings. Also. Their charger includes a USB slot to charge your phone, which leads to one less outlet used.
not according to the specs i read. the milwaukee has far more break away torque than the comparable ingersol. i couldnt care less about the light or the phone charger. i care about how much power and work the tool can get done. i have flash lights.....

Not being a jerk, But there is no way those wheel nuts were torque to 550 lbs that you were removing. I have the same impact, yes it's impressive. But it doesn't remove torqued wheel nuts by only hammering a one count
Yes. That gun is still not stronger enough to do this job. I'm a truck trailer mechanics that have to pull 11r22.5 everyday. I'm counting on the 1inch Milwaukee that just came out this month.
You are 100% correct. (from my personal experience) I have the mid tq with a 5.0 amp hour battery and I swear it's a bit stronger with a full charge versus 2-3 bars. Its not anything to cry home about because it's still plenty strong. But I can definitely tell a difference even with how the impact "kicks" in my hand.

Hello Milwaukee fans I was wondering if anybody out there knew what model number this Impact wrench yes he did not seem to know now just by my comparison if you’re going to do a review you should at least try to put in the model number of the tool you were using this would help out a lot of people and if you’re going to use impact bits I know he mentioned it but you should’ve sat down and wrote this on a piece of paper first and then did your comparison there is a lot of people out there that are doing these videos that are not putting in model numbers for people.... want to buy what they are using for example me I am looking for Milwaukee impact wrench right now not sure which one is the best one to go with don’t know if I’m going to need..1/2 inch for power or the new stubbies.. so if there’s anyone out there that knows what model number this fella is using please let me know Tim from Canada
@@meade4573 when I change truck tires I use an air driven 3/4 drive impact, most guys use a 1". I would guess that's what his alternative would be. That's why I ask did he double check with an air impact.
Their 28 volt won’t even change 1 I have bought over 10 battery’s. And have waisted money. They have good elect tools but failed me on the 28 volt tool. I feel they owe me for every one and the impact
IDK who installed them lug nuts but I'm sure on a commercial vehicle or any vehicle them lug nuts have to be torqued. And it seems like most of them lug nuts are just finger tight not torqued to manufacture specs. Now I'm not saying that Milwaukee can't remove those lug nuts I'm just saying that those lug nuts seems to be not torqued.!
I have never seen a tire service company change out tires and then torque the lug nuts.they ran it on with the impact and let it hammer for a few seconds.then on to the next one.
@@j.c.smithprojects JC you never been to a tire shop and never seen them torque lug nuts really.? Manufacturer put a specific torque for just about any bolt being bolted to just about anything. This insures two things that the bolt isn't over tightened and that the bolt is actually tight it's a safety thing. I've worked in shops where someone was mounting rim's was called to do something walked away and totally forgot to finish tighten all the lug nuts was about to pull the car out and someone asked did anyone remember if they torqued the lug nuts. Went to do and figured out the lugnuts weren't tight at all.!
Got that same gun, for regular cars trucks it’s awesome. Given how long it hammered on some of those nuts, their torque levels must be around 200 or more. For 110 ft/lbs (set with a torque stick) it rips 21mm nuts off my tundra in under a half second. If I let it hang for a few seconds I’m positive it would snap the studs!
Most truck tire pneumatics are 1" anvil guns. This one is half inch, I guarantee the new Milwaukee 1" gun will match or outperform a pneumatic 1" gun in a shop setting.
Ed MacLane speed doesn’t matter if all you’re doing is hammering the anvil. Besides that, pneumatic tools get weaker over time as the air erodes the veins. Electric tools stay constant. I’ve been running Milwaukee stuff daily in a Diesle shop and have not had any problems.
i see many people on you tube buy the 1" and show it being "used" but i have not seen anyone do a real world video with it in use day after day. i use 2 of these 1/2" impacts everyday. one has been warrantied twice. the other is still going strong. when i buy the 1" i will put it through its paces. im not a tool collector. my tools get used hard.
i tested this impact in my real world situations. if you need something other than that, you should buy one and test it for what you need. it suits me just fine.
Most Smart people put a air compressor fitting onto the air brake tank and use the trucks air to take the lug nuts off with a air impact and to use a air jack .
obviously you have never done that or you would realize that an air impact requires far more cfm and psi than a truck compressor can supply. the tank capacity is far too small also. it would take forever just to get one tire off let alone all the ones we did. besides who wants to let a truck run, burning diesel at $3.39 per gallon today versus a battery that cost near nothing to charge. that might work in a pinch along side the road but not for what i am doing.
@@j.c.smithprojects having two is a great idea. But me and you will be long gone and 6 feet deep before one of those gives up. I do line work and have left it out in the rain, used it as a hammer, dropped it from 30 plus feet onto concrete.

We use they to take snow plow wings off last week I think we did 7 trucks The socket we used is over an inch and a half we use for Guard rails too

No impact wrench will put lug nuts back on with the correct torque spec. Also lugs don't have a torque spec, lug nuts do.

I work on forklifts, did about 20 PM’s on forklifts by removing the tires with this impact & the 12A battery, only used 2 bars. Quite impressive from Milwaukee, my mid torque Milwaukee can break them off too, my old snap on 1/2 couldn’t even move them
No doubt the 12.0ah lasts long but def heavy. I personally use the 8.0ah battery and love the weight and performace on my impact

I have one and it’s pretty nice but it needs a power upgrade. Overtorqued lugs and corroded studs stop it dead in its tracks. I’m hoping Milwaukee will come out with an updated model in the near future since Ingersoll just came out with one.
Its the 2767 model Im guessing. I got one recently. It makes working on cars and truck fun.
That's amazing. I've been lucky to do a hand full of screws with a 1/4 inch Craftsman with the old type batteries, I've not got to really try my new lithium with it.

1 5.0 battery does 60 lug nuts, 3 axles 1 battery to put back on probably. 3sec hit when nut touches rim is between 5-525ftlbs

Ingersoll Rand is a much better tool. More break away torque and more fastening torque. Another reason why I love Ingersoll Rand is because they think about the small details. Like their shadowless led light. The ability to set the Shadowless led as a timer with different brightness settings. Also. Their charger includes a USB slot to charge your phone, which leads to one less outlet used.
not according to the specs i read. the milwaukee has far more break away torque than the comparable ingersol. i couldnt care less about the light or the phone charger. i care about how much power and work the tool can get done. i have flash lights.....

Not being a jerk, But there is no way those wheel nuts were torque to 550 lbs that you were removing. I have the same impact, yes it's impressive. But it doesn't remove torqued wheel nuts by only hammering a one count
Yes. That gun is still not stronger enough to do this job. I'm a truck trailer mechanics that have to pull 11r22.5 everyday. I'm counting on the 1inch Milwaukee that just came out this month.

You are 100% correct. (from my personal experience) I have the mid tq with a 5.0 amp hour battery and I swear it's a bit stronger with a full charge versus 2-3 bars. Its not anything to cry home about because it's still plenty strong. But I can definitely tell a difference even with how the impact "kicks" in my hand.

Hello Milwaukee fans I was wondering if anybody out there knew what model number this Impact wrench yes he did not seem to know now just by my comparison if you’re going to do a review you should at least try to put in the model number of the tool you were using this would help out a lot of people and if you’re going to use impact bits I know he mentioned it but you should’ve sat down and wrote this on a piece of paper first and then did your comparison there is a lot of people out there that are doing these videos that are not putting in model numbers for people.... want to buy what they are using for example me I am looking for Milwaukee impact wrench right now not sure which one is the best one to go with don’t know if I’m going to need..1/2 inch for power or the new stubbies.. so if there’s anyone out there that knows what model number this fella is using please let me know Tim from Canada

Why with a air impact? That thing is as or more powerful than any 1/2" air impact.
@@meade4573 when I change truck tires I use an air driven 3/4 drive impact, most guys use a 1". I would guess that's what his alternative would be. That's why I ask did he double check with an air impact.

IDK who installed them lug nuts but I'm sure on a commercial vehicle or any vehicle them lug nuts have to be torqued. And it seems like most of them lug nuts are just finger tight not torqued to manufacture specs. Now I'm not saying that Milwaukee can't remove those lug nuts I'm just saying that those lug nuts seems to be not torqued.!
I have never seen a tire service company change out tires and then torque the lug nuts.they ran it on with the impact and let it hammer for a few seconds.then on to the next one.
@@j.c.smithprojects JC you never been to a tire shop and never seen them torque lug nuts really.? Manufacturer put a specific torque for just about any bolt being bolted to just about anything. This insures two things that the bolt isn't over tightened and that the bolt is actually tight it's a safety thing. I've worked in shops where someone was mounting rim's was called to do something walked away and totally forgot to finish tighten all the lug nuts was about to pull the car out and someone asked did anyone remember if they torqued the lug nuts. Went to do and figured out the lugnuts weren't tight at all.!
Got that same gun, for regular cars trucks it’s awesome. Given how long it hammered on some of those nuts, their torque levels must be around 200 or more. For 110 ft/lbs (set with a torque stick) it rips 21mm nuts off my tundra in under a half second. If I let it hang for a few seconds I’m positive it would snap the studs!

Most truck tire pneumatics are 1" anvil guns. This one is half inch, I guarantee the new Milwaukee 1" gun will match or outperform a pneumatic 1" gun in a shop setting.
Ed MacLane speed doesn’t matter if all you’re doing is hammering the anvil. Besides that, pneumatic tools get weaker over time as the air erodes the veins. Electric tools stay constant. I’ve been running Milwaukee stuff daily in a Diesle shop and have not had any problems.
Cordless impacts work fine until you run into corroded lug nuts. Whole different ball game!

i see many people on you tube buy the 1" and show it being "used" but i have not seen anyone do a real world video with it in use day after day. i use 2 of these 1/2" impacts everyday. one has been warrantied twice. the other is still going strong. when i buy the 1" i will put it through its paces. im not a tool collector. my tools get used hard.

i tested this impact in my real world situations. if you need something other than that, you should buy one and test it for what you need. it suits me just fine.

Most Smart people put a air compressor fitting onto the air brake tank and use the trucks air to take the lug nuts off with a air impact and to use a air jack .
obviously you have never done that or you would realize that an air impact requires far more cfm and psi than a truck compressor can supply. the tank capacity is far too small also. it would take forever just to get one tire off let alone all the ones we did. besides who wants to let a truck run, burning diesel at $3.39 per gallon today versus a battery that cost near nothing to charge. that might work in a pinch along side the road but not for what i am doing.

@@j.c.smithprojects having two is a great idea. But me and you will be long gone and 6 feet deep before one of those gives up. I do line work and have left it out in the rain, used it as a hammer, dropped it from 30 plus feet onto concrete.
