Unless your hammering nuts that are 2" or bigger the 1/2" defines enough power. The 3/4 and 1" of old isn't even as powerful as the new milwaukee 1/2" insane torque from Milwaukee. I'm a wood worker by hobby and use dewalt but a millwright by profession and milwaukee is 2x the power as dewalt its mind blowing. My dad was just showing off his dewalt 3/4" today I laughed cuz the milwaukee 1/2" is no comparison. I just got that 2967 the other day and i felt stupid because its way over kill but that hi torq ended up really helping meout on a tuff steering knuckle and lower control arm job on my little Honda Fit. Thus, you will always appreciate that high torq.
Crazy thing I just got mine from northern tools to take off my axle but on my car I had a 3/8 impact mid torque and it didn’t work till I got the 1/2 high torque and it was the easiest pressure ever
How did you get this so early I was the first one with the FLEX MID TQ WRENCH back in late spring even sent it to TTC so they could use it but this one does not show up anywhere you should get the new FORGE Battery and use it with this TQ wrench
Pair this with a 3amp HO or possible smaller 3amp Forge battery and you'll have a lightweight compact powerhouse. An M12 3/8 stubby and this new 1/2 seems all you need since it's almost as small as the Midtorque now👍🏻My Gen 2 Midtorque and Hightorque are cart queens cuz the stubby is the workhorse of the 3 😂
@@MarkThomasBuilder I run both my Ridgid Octane and Milwaukee high torques with 3.0 Batteries. Unless I come across a super crazy fastener then I'll slap a larger battery 💪Otherwise they are just too heavy to lug around all day. This new model looks nice and compact pretty much midtorque dimensions. I'm sure running it with a 3.0 Battery alone will still crank out some impressive numbers. Based on the specs it should be the Top Dog, unless Dewalt drops a newly designed HT DCF with Tri lights and shorter body. Most of the Big names have already dropped they're updated high torque versions so I kinda doubt it. Flex might come out with something crazy although I was not impressed with none of their original impacts. Update spoke too soon I just seen Dewalt dropped that DCF961 Chunker 🤦♂️ TTC has already tested a pre production sample so gotta see what numbers this puts up here shortly.
I've been using the 30% cleaning vinegar around my house, because of my dogs. I dilute it a little with some water and add in a little Dawn dishwashing soap. I also use Roundup when I'm away from my house.
How much did this cost at the event? I’m sure they’ll probably charge alittle more than the people who went to that event but at least I have an idea how much I’m about to spend😭😂
This is the standard for high torque impacts. But trying to impress by taking some trailer lugs off? 1/4 in hex will do that. try it on something that is actually a high torqued screw.
I'm in the process of building a new high torque setup. I'm not done testing this out. The dump trailer in my video actually stopped my Dewalt 1/2" impact on the rusty lugs a year ago.
I have the new super charger that comes with the Forge Batteries. I'm going to have to test out the charge times vs the rapid charger. I'm sure you'll see a focus on Milwaukee developing more Forge options.
My boss bought one of these for the shop, and I often end up loosing nuts for him using my 350$ Maximum 40v impact from Canadian Tire.😅 Piece of crap also jumps out of the sockets badly, you need to push hard to keep the socket in. Strips bolts if you don't push hard.
The lights will hold up just fine. Even on my cheap Ryobi 1/2 in impact the lights are still working after 4 months of using it on 20 cars a day 5 days a week
The fact that you used a high torque to bust trailer nuts when you could have used the M12 stubby and had them off just as fast. A tractor bolt or semi truck lug or something difficult this shows me nothing
My previous commercial mower had some very tight spindles. Once time a guy from the mower dealer had to cut one off with a torch after trying with his biggest impact. The rusty trailer I showed was the second biggest challenge to all my impacts. My 1/2" Dewalt DCF894 wouldn't turn the lug, at times, on this trailer.
Nothing a stubby couldn’t have done how did u get this impact like Milwaukee really sent it to you for review?? Bc I still can’t purchase it from anywhere yet this is some bs someone really need to review this impact it could do so much more

@cunninghamroc eventually the 961 flat lines and the 900 catches up to it so theoretically the 2967 has a good chance at taking that number one spot
The DCf961 is going to beat this. The production model variant.
@juanc5149 i think other wise but i didn't mention the dcf961 was going to lose all i said was the 2967 has a chance at getting that number one spot

When is this Gen 3 suppose to release to the public?
Wow ! Lugnuts really are a challenge.
Haha, yeah I need to follow up with something extra heavy duty. I have a farm tractor and a 750lb torque adapter to use next.
It would be nice to see a head to head with the old wrench with some nasty old stuck fasteners
Good idea, I'll have to see what I can come up with.
use it with an HO battery and later down the road the new Forge battery

Food for thought: that's about the lightest work you could've used that gun for. And those led lights will never hold up on the nose like that.
