Either one could win, however Quill never really got much time with his new powers and therefore couldn’t expand upon them or train with them, Thor on the other hand has been fighting enemies for 1500 years - so he’d probably take the cake

@@theblazingvoid6524 I believe this would come down to whether Thor knew how to depower Peter or not. I mean as far as I could tell from Guardians 2, once Quill learned how to use his powers, he was essentially unkillable unless Ego's core was destroyed - his form could be destroyed but like Ego, he could endlessly regenerate "as long as the light exists". Thor could certainly destroy pretty much any form he took and likely tank a lot of what Quill could dish out, but he'd probably be overwhelmed eventually without any real knowledge of how to deal with Quills regeneration.

If he knew about Quills power source though, Thor could destroy it to depower and then kill Peter. In Ragnarok, Thor was able to blast though layers and layers of rock at great speed to reach the surface of Muspelheim after battling Surtur underground. I see no reason he couldn't do the same thing with Stormbreaker to reach Ego's core and destroy it - especially considering how easily he was smashing though Outrider Drop-Ships in Infinity War. Alternatively, he could just summon the Bifrost onto Ego and leave it there, destroying the whole planet in the process as Loki nearly did to Jotunheim in Thor 1. Besides that, we know that even Ego himself needed time to reconstitute himself after having significant amount of his chosen form destroyed and in fact, this weakness was used against him in the movie. Thor is definitely capable of putting out enough power to destroy Peter's physical form in order to delay him while reaching the core of the planet.

So in short, as long as Thor knows about the "light", he could feasibly win most fights. But without that knowledge, he could only really achieve a temporary victory.
