I kinda disagree on Mouseover cast. It’s useful for healers. If you’re a macro fiend like me with macros that push the macro character limit, then you can save a few macro characters by not using [@mouseover] in your macro, and instead enabling Mouseover Cast (no modifier key). Your heals then behave the same way as if you’d macro’d them as you advise - heals your mouseover if your mouseover is healable, or your target if not - while saving a lot of macro characters.
The only problem I have is with comments like "why click to move", even if I dont do it, some people, most of them with disabilities or elderly find that to be better sometimes permanently sometimes till they get used to it. My constructive criticism is sound less judgy , we want more people to feel welcome to play and those off comments do not help with that. Gladly the game offers the option for their benefit. Interact key is very useful specially with the crazy amount of poorly spawned ores XD
i use click to move sometimes when i'm smoking while omw to wherever destination and got stuck somehow: that's not a reason to interrupt my smoke, just click click click with other hand, its weird and takes ages but eventually back on track xD (not sitting at desk during this, just mouse with me at window/balcony)

I have been watching a ton of videos lately because I finally care enough to want to step my game up to the next level, and you are the only one that has ever explained things to the point that they make sense to me. As a healer who always had mouse over macros previously. I have not found a reason so far to not just use the mouse over cast tick box. From what I can tell it does the exact same thing without having to create macros. What is the specific reasoning for not using it? is it to NOT have ALL your spells become mouse over casts?
im using the option as well now instead of my mouseover macros, and its working great. I think what he meant in the video was try not to use the dropdown option to use a modifier hotkey. When you leave it on None, it works well. there are some exceptions, and ive used a few mouseover macros on other abilities (like harmful ones like deathgrip).
He seems to think you HAVE to hold down a button to do the mouseover cast. I don't think he realized you can set it to None and not have to press a button to use it.
@@Srelathon to be fair though, he is correct in that macros are fail safe. some abilities like penance and holy shock are both attack and heals, and macros help solve accedentally doing one over the other etc.

The reason why is to get the same functionality as the simple setting checkbox, you have to do a complex macro: /use [@mouseover,exists,nodead,help][@target,exists,nodead,help][@player]Echo. That uses up a _lot of_ scarce macro character space, when instead you can just use the Mouseover Cast (None) setting in conjunction with /use Echo instead. Same functionality, much smaller macro.
I'm going crazy behind the Tooltips, I don't understand how to move it, I also tried with TipTac as many say, but I can't find a solution, I would like to understand how you managed to move it to such a comfortable place as in your video
the autotargeting around was kinda weird at start, but u get used to it :D its very very nice for big trash pulls, no need to hit tab at all (well, as a dps, yes) and as dk it can give you a mean laugh sometimes: when abomination limb isnt auto limb-grabbing in the one you want, just keep moving til its your auto-target and manually grab&chain it into it anyway, no tab-target no mouseover macro, just while keep going :D PS. get rid of that annoying bagfiller heartstone :d check your toys collection for stones, maybe you already have some > add to spellbar and trash the item in bag! All toy-stones have different casting animations, some really cool, like necrolords's & thorghast's stones from SL - the newest is the Dragonflights's "Honor Our Ancestors" achiv reward: Ohn'ir Windsage's Hearthstone - with a guide takes around 20-30min to do =)

spell and hold casting has never worked for me. As a fury warrior, after long nights sometimes i just wanna hold certain keys instead of spamming them every .5 seconds 😆
MOUSEOVER MACROS ARE DEAD MAN! As a long time healer, that's bad advice on that one. I moved away from Mouseover macros years ago when the Mouseover Cast feature was added. I've noticed a few Dracthyr spells don't work on hover, which is a bug, but that's the only time I write a Mouseover Macro anymore.

I dont have class colors selected but it still shows me the class color on the name of my enemy when i target them and pisses me off, any idea how to save myself ?

no action camera like in GW2 is crazy, having the camera move by just moving mouse is so much better.

@@DungeonCoachGaming turn it on with no modifier set. You can hover over a player in the field or in raid/party frames.

I use W A and S for movement. No backpedal since it is mega slow. Can still Parry and dodge while sidestepping so backpedal is not needed
