    0:00 Intro
0:05 No extra info. I'm surprised the customer did bother to check under the hood though since they did try to change the air filter and smelled a burning smell afterward. They're lucky it didn't catch on fire.
    0:23 No extra info.
0:31 I talked to the technician who filmed this and the customer thinks it fell into the headliner after one day they went to the beach and were packing up their vehicle to go home. They put the sandwich meat on the sunroof and when they closed their sunroof, it somehow slid underneath the headliner and they didn't remember until they could smell it.
0:39 This clip was filmed the day I made this video, so If I get an update I'll be sure to let you guys know.
0:51 I've never seen this happen before, but my guess is that the brakes got so hot at one point and the brake pad material came off the brake pad backing plate and then "welded" itself onto the brake rotor.
1:02 No extra info. The truck was a Toyota Tacoma.
    1:23 The technician said: "2017 Ford F-250 6.7 Powerstroke
Towed in with a No-start after it started knocking and shut off on the customer. After taking a fuel sample we found the diesel to be contaminated with DEF fluid. Apparently, the customer pumped roughly 4 gallons of DEF fluid into the fuel tank while filling up. Notice the DEF fluid growing crystals on the floor of the shop where we spilled the "fuel" sample! The customer approved replacing the entire fuel system, and tank to injectors. $18,000 in repairs. Truck runs great after repairs."
1:45 The technician said he's not sure if it was a defect in the CV axle or if the customer kept dumping the clutch which caused this. As usually when a CV axle breaks it'll be around halfway and not sheared off near the transmission (from my experience).
2:02 That's a spark plug wire you see hanging from underneath this vehicle. That's most likely why they have a miss fire.
2:10 No extra info. However a good chance they will need a new engine/rebuild. Which will be very expensive since it's a V10.
2:24 From the looks of it, the other shop broke an exhaust bolt (looks to be EGR pipe) so it would no longer seal. So they used a bunch of RTV silicone to seal it and try and hide their mistake. It's common for them to break and usually requires drilling them out.
2:33 From viewer who sent it in: "2010 Nissan Navara YD25DDTi.
I'm mobile, customer phoned saying he died on the motorway and he thinks he needs a new gearbox. I arrived to the truck semi-lifted, I removed the gearbox to this. I got paid and left."
2:53 A mean prank but a common one I've seen myself working in an automotive and heavy-duty shop.
    3:06 Outro. Thanks for watching!

Concerning the birds in the frame of the truck; I work for a carwash owner and the wash bays have vinyl roll up doors driven by a motor and gearbox. One spring the owner told me to check the top covered portion of the door because he thought he heard chirping. @@Br3ttM That _can_ be the case. They can place them well, or incredibly stupidly.
There's one good nest still sitting at my house after many years; it's on a little ledge above the door on my porch (it has maybe 10 inches or a foot from the edge, and a window's behind it. [edit: I meant the ledge's distance from the window to the edge.]) There's also maybe 6 feet from it to the edge of the porch, and (I shouldn't need to say this, but) yes, the porch has a roof. So even in windy weather, it won't go anywhere. It's been abandoned for years, though. Why another bird never moved in, I may never understand.
But there were 2 *bad* nests that fell from the same exact tree here in about a month's time, so I ended up cutting the badly shaped (and dead) tree down. The nest wasn't even 5 feet off the ground, and it was in a "U" section on a tree with a steep drop-off on one side. Any lazy cat could have pulled it down.
Furthermore, I had some Robins put a nest in a bush... Near the alley way, right across from my neighbor's house, where they have a cat. The cat ended up knocking the nest down once (about 4 feet from the ground and in a very obvious place,) and she got one of the baby birds. I saw one adult bird try to attack her quickly, before flying off. After that, I put the nest back in the bush and I put one or two of the 3 baby birds back in.
Mind, I'm comparing 3 bad nests to 1 good nest here. But I also don't know where there might be other good nests around here, it's not like I go climbing up the big trees at my house to look for bird nests.

0:51 I've never seen the entire pad weld itself to a rotor, but I did once see bits and pieces of pads transfer. It was on a 1-ton truck. The owner operated a roofing business, and he had a dump trailer with a max load of 16k lbs. Only issue was, the trailer didn't have working brakes. It had brakes alright, but somehow, someway, the wiring got ripped out, and he kept towing a trailer that was rated for 16k. Oh, and he had to lay chains in the bed of the trailer so that the city dump could just yank out his load, because even though the trailer was rated for 16k, he often overloaded it to the point that he broke the hydraulics. Don't get me wrong guys, 1-ton trucks can tow a lot of weight, but it stops better when the trailer has brakes, especially if the trailer weighs twice as much as the truck itself.

Someone once told me his caliper pins came out while braking because his pads were so low. Is that possible, or was he mistaking one part for another?
He was driving a 12 year old Dodge Aspen (so I'm guessing this was in the late 80s or early 90s [the Aspen was made from 1976 - 1980]) and he was going 40 MPH, coming to a 4 lane intersection where he had to brake. He hit the brakes, nothing. Parking brake was broken, too. He had to go in low gear and zig-zag through traffic. Again; when the brakes were looked at, it was shown that the pads were worn so low that they pulled out the caliper pins.
At least, that's the story I was told in 2016. Is this even possible? It's not like I don't do my own maintenance well enough to not die from it (so I know what Calipers look like,) but this caliper pin story isn't something that I think of much. I can't think of how it's even possible. Was he confusing one part for another here?

One horrible winters night in the 1990s I was a passenger flying out of Turin in a snow storm. As we accelerated for take off it didn't feel like it was accelerating quite right. After what seemed an age (and a lot of runway) the pilot aborted the take off. Most passengers were upset by the rapid deceleration but I was relieved he had made the decision. Anyway we taxi back to the terminal to get an engine looked at. After they fixed that they found they couldn't get the brakes off. I swear it felt like they jacked the plane up and then started hammering on the UC. Numerous passengers didnt like the banging asked to get off. I can still see a demon on the wing throwing things in the engine just like in the film.
